Chapter 60: Chapter 60: The Desperate Imprisoned Dragon

Iron Blood Young Master’s Blood Burning Pill, Blood Refining Young Master’s Profound Level Upper Tier Technique Martial Skill, Lin Yun’s Demon Core from a Three-Stars Demon Beast Celestial King Snake, and Imprisoned Dragon Young Master’s Earth Level Four-Stars Spirit Grass.

The four treasures were placed together beside the fighting ring. The eyes of the crowd below the stage were filled with greed as they gazed upon the four items, but at a time like this, no one dared to make a move.

The three great Primordial Ocean Realm experts of Mysterious City were all present. Anyone foolish enough to try and take the four treasures now would be an absolute idiot.

”Heh heh, I never expected Young Master Yun to possess such a great treasure. It seems I’ve misjudged you,” Iron Blood Young Master said with a laugh, looking at Lin Yun. His smile, however, was somewhat bitter.

Now that Lin Yun had produced a treasure of equal value, they would have to raise the stakes again if they wanted him to put up his inheritance.

In the stands, the expressions of Iron Blood and Blood Refining Ancestor darkened, and both of them subconsciously glanced at Ye Yunlong.

Seeing this, Ye Yunlong’s lips curved into a faint smile, revealing a hint of mockery. ’You want Lin Yun’s inheritance? Did you ask for my permission? That inheritance can only be mine.’

There was nothing to be done. No one had expected Ye Yunlong to go this far.

”Imprisoned Dragon Young Master, it’s been a long time since we’ve fought. Why don’t the two of us warm up the stage for the first match?” Iron Blood Young Master said, looking at Imprisoned Dragon Young Master after receiving a signal from Iron Blood.

Ye Yunlong was playing for keeps, so Blood Refining Ancestor and the others needed to prepare another treasure to bait out Lin Yun’s inheritance. The first match was just a way for Iron Blood Young Master to stall for time.

Hearing this, Blood Refining Young Master was the first to step down from the ring. As Lin Yun passed by Imprisoned Dragon, he whispered, ”They’re just stalling for time. Be careful.”

Imprisoned Dragon’s expression remained icy, and he didn’t reply, simply turning his deadpan face toward Iron Blood Young Master.

”After you. I hope Imprisoned Dragon Young Master will be merci—” Iron Blood Young Master began, looking at Imprisoned Dragon, but before he could finish, Imprisoned Dragon had already attacked.

With a flash from the Space Ring on his right hand, a Short Blade appeared in his grasp. Using a weapon from the very first move showed that Imprisoned Dragon intended to go all out.

Iron Blood Young Master hadn’t expected Imprisoned Dragon to fight so desperately, using his full strength from the start. ’Damn it,’ he cursed inwardly. With a flash from his own Space Ring, a pair of Refined Iron Gloves instantly appeared on his hands.

It was a battle between a dragon and a tiger from the very beginning. Neither of them held back in the slightest—or rather, Imprisoned Dragon didn’t hold back, and Iron Blood Young Master was simply forced to keep up.

The crowd below was thrilled, but on the stage, Iron Blood Young Master was groaning inwardly. ’Today’s target wasn’t even Imprisoned Dragon! Who knows what’s gotten into him? I just needed to stall for time, and now I’m being forced to use my full strength!’

The two were evenly matched in strength, so victory would naturally be difficult to achieve. However, Iron Blood Young Master, whose goal wasn’t to fight to the death, was still holding back. Imprisoned Dragon, in contrast, attacked relentlessly, unleashing killing moves one after another.

”Imprisoned Dragon, are you insane? It’s just a ring match! You think this is a life-or-death battle?” Barely blocking one of Imprisoned Dragon’s attacks, Iron Blood Young Master was now filled with rage. ’This guy is a lunatic.’

”Hmph. In my eyes, there is no difference between a ring match and a life-or-death battle,” Imprisoned Dragon snorted coldly, and his Short Blade slashed out.

”Seven Kills, First Slash.”

The blade’s gleam was like lightning, a cold flash cutting toward Iron Blood Young Master’s throat. Anyone with broad knowledge would know that this Seven Kills was a Martial Skill from the Death Row Shelter.

It was famous for being fast, precise, and ruthless. The entire Saber Technique consisted of only seven moves, but each was a killing blow. Imprisoned Dragon had only mastered four of them, yet that was enough to make him one of the Four Great Young Masters of Mysterious City, a testament to its power and difficulty to cultivate.

”Damn it! Watch my Iron Fist!” Seeing Imprisoned Dragon use Seven Kills right away, Iron Blood Young Master had no choice but to use Iron Blood’s signature Martial Skill, the Iron Fist, to defend himself.

His fists seemed as if forged from Refined Iron, and enhanced by the pair of Refined Iron Gloves, Iron Blood Young Master’s right fist smashed viciously against the gleam of Imprisoned Dragon’s blade.

With a single clash, both were forced back several steps. Iron Blood Young Master was truly frustrated now. ’I don’t know what’s wrong with this guy, it’s like I have some deep-seated hatred with him or something.’

”Imprisoned Dragon, that’s enough! A ring match is about exchanging pointers through martial arts, not a battle to the death!” Iron Blood Young Master shouted.

But his only response was wave after wave of attacks from Imprisoned Dragon, who completely ignored his shouts and put his full power into every strike.

”Damn it, Imprisoned Dragon! You think I’m afraid of you?” Since his words had no effect, Iron Blood Young Master’s temper flared. He cast aside all other thoughts and began to clash head-on with Imprisoned Dragon.

The battle reached a fever pitch. Both fighters were unleashing killing moves, each strike comparable to the power of the Ninth Layer of Opening Realm. Watching from the side, Lin Yun’s brow furrowed slightly.

’I still underestimated the strength of Iron Blood Young Master and Blood Refining Young Master. The Combat Power Iron Blood Young Master is erupting with now has surpassed my expectations. Still, it hasn’t reached a level where I would lose to him. At most, we’d be evenly matched.’

”As expected of two of the great Young Masters. To have such Combat Power at only the Sixth Layer of Opening Realm... they are truly geniuses of our Mysterious City,” someone in the crowd said in amazement, watching the terrifying Combat Power the two unleashed.

”Iron Fist!” With a furious roar, Iron Blood Young Master threw a punch at Imprisoned Dragon’s chest. The blow was heavy and powerful.

The Iron Fist arrived with ferocious power, but Iron Blood Young Master’s expression suddenly changed. Faced with his attack, Imprisoned Dragon chose neither to defend nor to dodge. He completely ignored the Iron Fist and swung his blade straight at him.

”Damn it, Imprisoned Dragon, have you lost your mind today?! Do you really want to take us both down?” Unable to dodge and with no time to pull back his attack, Iron Blood Young Master furiously cursed aloud.

The Iron Fist slammed into Imprisoned Dragon’s chest, while the Short Blade brutally slashed down on Iron Blood Young Master’s chest. Both were injured and sent flying backward at the same time, barely managing to land at the edge of the ring.

Imprisoned Dragon suddenly spat out a mouthful of blood, but Iron Blood Young Master was clearly not in a good state either. A deep gash stretched across his chest, blood continuously welling from it.

”Imprisoned Dragon, are you really insane? You want to fight me to the death?” Iron Blood Young Master glanced at the wound on his body, his face turning ashen. ’I really don’t know what’s gotten into this guy today.’

The two had competed before, but nothing like this had ever happened. Today, Imprisoned Dragon was like a mad dog that had just seen its father’s killer.

The battle was intense. In the stands, Iron Blood’s brow furrowed slightly. Seeing his own son grievously injured was obviously not what he wanted, but for the sake of the bigger picture, he did not intervene. ’As long as we can get the inheritance from Lin Yun, my son suffering a few injuries isn’t an unacceptable price.’

Bloodstains marked the corner of Imprisoned Dragon’s mouth, but his expression was unchanged, still frighteningly cold. At the same time, drops of blood dripped from the Short Blade in his hand onto the ground.
