Reincarnated as a Mosquito, I Sucked the Reborn Empress to Tears

The stone table was exceptionally smooth, with various items piled messily on top.

Chu Sheng flew over, landing on the tabletop.

There were a few objects that resembled crystal slabs, engraved with intricate patterns.

And some… hides?

Yes, they were beast hides with a unique texture. They felt incredibly tough and were slightly warm to the touch.

The hides almost seemed alive, as the patterns on their surface still squirmed faintly.

’Is this the “paper” of the Alien Race?’

Chu Sheng leaned in for a closer look.

Extremely complex patterns and symbols had been drawn on the hides using a dark pigment.

Although Chu Sheng couldn’t read the Alien Race’s script yet, he could certainly understand pictures.

’What the hell… this is a map!’

And judging by the outline, it was clearly a map of humanity’s Blue Star!

It was marked with numerous red dots and several black arrows.

’Is this a battle map?!’

Besides the map, there were several other hides covered in dense, unintelligible scrawls, along with diagrams resembling Arrays or tunnel structures.

’These are definitely top-secret documents!’

A thrill of excitement shot through Chu Sheng.

’If I can get these back, it’ll be a huge contribution!’

’But these hides are too big, and they have special Energy wards on them. Trying to put them directly into my Space would probably trigger an alarm.’

’What should I do if I can’t take them?’

’I’ll just take pictures of them!’

Chu Sheng chuckled. With a single thought, he pulled a smartphone out of his Lifebound Space.

He’d swiped it back in the human world and it had just been gathering dust in his space ever since. He never thought it would come in handy here.

Inside this exotic, gloomy, and terrifying Alien Race Emperor’s Cave Mansion.

A mosquito the size of a fingernail was comically holding a smartphone—quite enormous from its perspective—with its two front legs.

It aimed the phone at the top-secret documents on the table and began snapping pictures furiously. CLICK! CLICK!

The flash was blindingly bright in the dim cave, but luckily, the Demon Lord wasn’t home.

’A picture of this one… this one too… and this one…’

Chu Sheng became a war correspondent, photographing every single document he could see on the table.

Once he was done, he stored the phone back in his Space.

He scanned his surroundings one last time. After confirming there was nothing else of value he could take with him, Chu Sheng decided it was time to leave.

It wasn’t safe to linger here.

He flew to the mouth of the cave, found a weak point in the Barrier, and gently sliced open a gap with his Realm-Breaking Claw. Then, without a backward glance, he slipped out.

He flew back carefully, not stopping until he returned to the foul, reeking lower levels. He slipped into his crude little hole and put the [Imitation Alien Exosuit] back on. Only then did Chu Sheng feel a sense of security.

’Ah, this hovel is still the most comfortable place to be,’ Chu Sheng mused, and with that, he continued his life of “infiltration” at the Alien Race Base.

…

The days that followed were both monotonous and fulfilling for Chu Sheng.

He completely blended into the lives of the low-level members of the Alien Race.

During the day, he operated his exosuit and dutifully worked as a laborer.

Every day, Void Toads would arrive, transporting massive quantities of Energy Crystals from some unknown location…

Though it was hard labor, for someone with his Eighth-Grade strength, it was child’s play.

He even learned how to slack off among the crowd of Fierce Soldiers.

Whenever the supervisor wasn’t looking, he would find a corner, hunker down, and pretend to be hard at work breaking rocks, while secretly observing his surroundings and memorizing the routes.

But when night fell, that was when his real party began.

In the dead of night.

Chu Sheng would crawl out from the small mountain of crystals in the warehouse and begin to absorb them with abandon!

’Heh heh, this is Lord Mosquito’s idea of “secluded cultivation.”’

Chu Sheng had gotten smarter, too.

He no longer absorbed indiscriminately like he did on the first day.

Instead, he specifically sifted through the mountain of crystals, picking out the ones with the deepest color and the most complex internal Energy patterns.

He discovered that these high-quality crystals didn’t just contain pure Qi Blood and Mental Power; they were also laced with minuscule traces of the Power of Law!

Absorbing these crystals not only increased his Qi Blood and Mental Power, but also his Realm Power!

And so, like a mouse that had fallen into a rice vat, Chu Sheng madly consumed, digested, and consumed again.

One day… two days… three days…

His Qi Blood Value and Mental Power skyrocketed at an astonishing rate.

He was steadily gaining about 200,000 Qi Blood every day!

And besides his Cultivation, Chu Sheng hadn’t been idle these past few days.

He used his time among the other members of the Alien Race during the day to secretly listen in and learn their language.

The language of the Alien Race wasn’t complicated. They seemed to lack concepts like literature or rhetoric, with all communication geared toward maximum efficiency.

This made it relatively simple to learn.

’Are you kidding me? Before he was reincarnated, he was fluent in two foreign languages. Learning another one now is a piece of cake!’

“Gwa-la-li?” (Have you eaten?)

“Ska! K’ru!” (Get lost! Back to work!)

In just seven or eight days, Chu Sheng could basically understand what the aliens were jabbering about, and could even manage a few simple responses.

This also helped flesh out his “mute” persona, turning him into an insignificant alien who had “just recovered from a throat injury and still had trouble speaking clearly.”

…

「Ten full days later.」

In the cramped, low-level cave.

Chu Sheng flew out of his exosuit, ready to take stock of his gains from the past ten days.

For the past ten days, he’d been so focused on absorbing energy that he felt like he was about to burst every day. He hadn’t even had a chance to check his stats properly.

He only remembered that his Qi Blood had long since broken past the Eighth-Grade, and he had even broken through several minor realms in the process!

It couldn’t be helped. With abundant resources, breaking through realms was just that simple for Chu Sheng. There were no bottlenecks whatsoever; he just had to stack the numbers!

Feeling the Qi Blood Power surging through his body like a vast ocean, he thought with anticipation:

’System, open my status panel!’

SWOOSH!

[Host: Chu Sheng]

[Current Qi Blood: 4,700,000 (Eighth-Grade Late Stage)]

[Current Mental Power: 4,700,000 (Eighth-Grade Late Stage)]

[Evolution Points: 250,000]

’Holy crap, I’m already at the Eighth-Grade Late Stage without even realizing it!’

’The results from these ten days of intense grinding are insane!’

Over these past ten days, he had absorbed around 2,000,000 Qi Blood, and a good amount of Mental Power as well.

The amount of Qi Blood he’d absorbed in just ten days was almost equal to the total amount he’d absorbed since his rebirth!

Still, this was to be expected.

Two million might sound like a lot, but first of all, Chu Sheng’s efficiency at absorbing Qi Blood was already countless times greater than when he first started.

And on top of that, he had an unlimited supply of resources!

Under these conditions, it was perfectly normal for him to absorb 2,000,000 just by burying his head and going at it.

If it weren’t for the limits of his constitution, he could have easily absorbed tens of millions!

’Heh heh, Eighth-Grade Late Stage.’

’I wonder what realm that Little Empress, Gu Yuexi, has reached in her seclusion.’

’If I stay in this Alien Race Base for another month or two… I might even have a shot at breaking through to the King Realm.’

’Provided I don’t get discovered, of course.’

Chu Sheng chuckled to himself and continued examining the system panel.

The increase in his Qi Blood Spiritual Power was just one part of it.

The other part was the changes to his Skills brought on by the increase in his Realm Power!

This was the main reason he had stopped to take stock of his stats today.

[Ding! Your Spatial Realm has broken through to the Origin Realm.]
