Reincarnated as a Mosquito, I Sucked the Reborn Empress to Tears

On the lawn below the Academic Affairs Office, the scene had descended into utter chaos.

“A fight’s broken out! A fight’s broken out!”

More and more students rushed over, having heard the commotion.

A fight was already a novelty.

Let alone when it was a prominent figure like Gu Yuexi throwing the punches.

The surrounding crowd grew larger and larger.

Many started taking photos, and some even began livestreaming on the spot.

“Whoa, why is Goddess Gu so furious? By the way, who is she even hitting? With their face pinned to the ground, I can’t see a thing.”

“I don’t know, but our Sister Gu looks so fierce and beautiful like this.”

“Holy shit, wait, I think I know who she’s beating!”

“That’s the young lady of the Liu Family, Liu Qingyao! She’s from one of the Ten Great Clans!”

“*Hiss*—Is Gu Yuexi really this confrontational? Picking a fight directly with the Ten Great Clans? Could it be over that Divine Son slot?”

“Obviously! It has to be. All I can say is… nice one!”

“But… that’s the Liu Family. After beating up one of their own, can Gu Yuexi even survive at Jing University anymore?”

The crowd buzzed with discussion; some cheered excitedly, while others were secretly worried.

And at the center of the storm.

Liu Qingyao lay prone in the dirt, half her face ground firmly under the sole of Gu Yuexi’s shoe. Her exquisite makeup was a complete smear, and her expensive, custom-made gown was stained with grass and shards of glass.

As the young lady of the Liu Family, she’d long been annoyed by Gu Yuexi. That was why she had charged over, intending to ridicule her.

To any onlooker, this act might have seemed completely brainless.

But she was from the Liu Family. She had the right to be brainless!

This was the logic that had governed her behavior since childhood: she could bully others recklessly and wantonly, without ever facing any consequences.

At that moment, Liu Qingyao had only one feeling, and that was…

Humiliation.

Unprecedented humiliation!

But she wasn’t scared.

Fear?

Out of the question.

’In her mind, no one in this world would dare to truly harm her, let alone kill her.’

’This is Kyoto, the capital of the Great Xia. I am the eldest daughter of the Liu Family’s main branch! Killing me is the same as declaring war on the entire Liu Family, and even on the alliance of the Ten Great Clans!’

’This mere Gu Yuexi, a wild girl with no background… even if she had a hundred times the nerve, would she dare?’

’Her actions right now are nothing more than a fit of impotent rage over losing the Divine Son slot!’

“Let go… Let me go!!”

Liu Qingyao struggled desperately. Although she couldn’t move her body, the eye that was visible shot daggers, and she shrieked indistinctly:

“Gu Yuexi! You lunatic! Do you know what you’re doing?!”

“I’m from the Liu Family! You dare treat me like this? My mother will never forgive you! The Elders in my family won’t let you get away with this!”

“If you get on your knees and beg me right now, this young lady might be in a good enough mood to leave your corpse intact…”

“Otherwise… I will make sure you die! I’ll make sure your entire family dies without a place for burial!!”

Listening to the vicious curses coming from beneath her foot, Gu Yuexi’s expression remained utterly unchanged.

Her gaze was frighteningly cold, as if she wasn’t stepping on a person, but on a piece of rotten flesh that only knew how to make noise.

’How boring.’

’So utterly boring.’

’This kind of trash, who only knows how to bark about their family background, isn’t even worthy of making me angry.’

’The reason I’m doing this isn’t because of a momentary impulse, and it’s certainly not some fit of impotent rage.’

’I am making a statement.’

’In my past life, I was already screwed over by the Ten Great Clans once.’

’In this life, I have no intention of playing along with their hypocritical games.’

’If you want to play, then let’s raise the stakes.’

’Time to drop all pretenses.’

’I’ll tell everyone, and I’ll tell the Ten Great Clans—’

’What belongs to this Empress is not yours for the taking. Reach for it, and you’d better be prepared to lose a hand.’

’Even if I’m only Seventh-Grade right now.’

’But I refuse to endure it any longer.’

“Noisy.”

Gu Yuexi applied a bit more pressure with her foot.

CRACK!

A sickening crack of bone, sharp enough to set one’s teeth on edge, rang out.

A crisp snap seemed to come from Liu Qingyao’s cheekbone. Her shrill scream died in her throat, turning into a pained whimper.

…

「At the same time.」

On the top floor of the Academic Affairs Office, by the shattered conference room window.

Two dark figures dove from the sky like great rocs spreading their wings.

It was Liu Qingyao’s two King Realm bodyguards!

Their eyes were practically splitting from their sockets in rage and panic, cold sweat drenching their bodies.

They were wary of the mosquito before them, but…

If anything happened to the Young Miss on their watch—even if she were merely disfigured—they would face certain death upon their return! The Liu Family’s rules were no joke!

“Stop!!”

“Witch, how dare you!!”

The two exchanged a look in mid-air, their roles instantly decided.

One of them erupted in an earthy-yellow light, his aura as heavy as a mountain, and charged straight for the black mosquito hovering in mid-air.

His mission was to contain the bizarre Fierce Beast. He didn’t need to kill it, just stall it!

The other, meanwhile, moved like lightning, wreathed in sharp Wind Blades as he aimed for the vital spot on Gu Yuexi’s back!

’If I can just force Gu Yuexi back, I can save the Young Miss!’

BOOM!

The earth-elementalist bodyguard, still in the air, suddenly thrust his hands downward.

A heavy gravitational field instantly enveloped Chu Sheng’s position, and the very air seemed to solidify.

“Vile beast! I’ll suppress you!”

With a furious roar, he sent a giant hand condensed from rock hurtling toward Chu Sheng, carrying the force of Mount Tai Pressing Down!

Chu Sheng hovered in mid-air. Watching the whistling, giant rock hand approach, a flicker of human-like disdain passed through his ruby-red compound eyes.

’Is that it?’

’Playing with mud?’

BZZZ—

A soft hum resonated.

Chu Sheng didn’t even flap his wings.

He simply turned his head slightly, his red-glowing pupils locking onto the earth-elementalist bodyguard.

The next second.

A bizarre scene unfolded.

In the earth-elementalist bodyguard’s vision, the mosquito’s eyes became a bottomless vortex of fire, instantly sucking in his very soul!

An indescribable heat surged from deep within him without warning, as if his very blood had caught fire!

’What is this sorcery?!’

’An ocular art?!’

’No, this is bad! I can’t let its gaze lock onto me!’

The earth-elementalist bodyguard was horrified. The sense of mortal peril made every hair on his body stand on end.

He instinctively tried to dodge, aborting his attack and twisting his body in mid-air at a bizarre angle, shifting a dozen meters to the side.

RUMBLE!

The giant rock hand, now uncontrolled, slammed into the empty ground nearby. It gouged out a large crater, sending dust and debris flying.

However, before he could even breathe a sigh of relief…

He discovered in horror that the mosquito’s gaze was still locked onto him, clinging like a deep-seated curse!

No matter how he dodged or evaded, the feeling of his soul being seared by flames wouldn’t dissipate—in fact, it only grew stronger!

Wherever its gaze fell, space itself seemed to twist, and faint wisps of black flame began to flicker into existence!

“Damn it! What the hell is this thing!”
