Reincarnated as a Mosquito, I Sucked the Reborn Empress to Tears

Chapter 196: Chapter 196: A Sword with Its Own Realm? Gimme That!

Beast Taming Academy, Martial Arts Tournament Hall.

Su Li, a group of female students, their Contracted Beasts, and the foreign prodigies had all arrived.

Students from the Beast Taming Academy who had heard about the incident also began to trickle in.

The atmosphere between the two groups was tense. The male students from the Beast Taming Academy, in particular, were furious after hearing the details of what had happened!

Ryuzaki Ichiru, however, was unfazed. He was the first to walk onto the Martial Arts Arena in the center of the hall, and he looked at Su Li.

“Miss Su, if you please.”

“Don’t worry, I’ll go easy on you.”

Ryuzaki Ichiru acted like a perfect gentleman, but his tone was filled with frivolity and arrogance. His smug attitude immediately drew a torrent of curses from the crowd, with all sorts of insults flying through the air.

With a cold expression, Su Li stepped forward and beckoned to her Contracted Beast, the Thousand Feather Snow Eagle.

Just as the Thousand Feather Snow Eagle was about to go, it was suddenly tapped on the head by Chu Sheng, who was perched on its crown.

Then, Chu Sheng leaped down and walked toward Su Li.

Su Li froze.

’What’s going on?’

’Why is it coming over? It’s not my Contracted Beast. It’s incredibly strong, sure, but we don’t have a Blood Covenant. How are we supposed to work together?’

’Wait, is it going to form a contract with me right here and now?’

’Am I about to become the master of a Demon Beast with an Emperor-level Bloodline?’

The more Su Li thought about it, the more excited she became… However, her fantasy was immediately cut short by a vague thought transmitted from her Thousand Feather Snow Eagle.

“SCREE— (Big Bro says… just watch him perform.)”

The higher a Contracted Beast’s Spiritual Wisdom, the greater the tacit understanding with its Beast Tamer, allowing the Tamer to better decipher the general meaning from the beast’s vague thoughts.

’So, it’s not going to form a contract with me. It’s going to fight by itself?’

Why did Chu Sheng want to fight?

The reason was simple: Chu Sheng had taken a liking to Ryuzaki Ichiru’s tachi.

To be precise, there was something strange about that blade. Chu Sheng could sense an incredibly pure Realm Power flowing within it!

’Realm Power is absolutely top-tier stuff!’

The Thousand Feather Snow Eagle couldn’t fight effectively indoors, and with that strange sword in the mix, Su Li might lose.

’To be safe, it’s better if I handle this myself.’

…

Even the students from the Beast Taming Academy were surprised by Chu Sheng’s actions, wondering what it was trying to do.

Meanwhile, the foreign prodigies on the other side couldn’t help but snicker.

“What the hell? Such a beautiful girl, and her Contracted Beast is actually a giant cockroach?”

“Hahaha, the Beast Tamers of Great Xia are so bizarre. Contracting with a cockroach? No wonder Beast Tamers have no status here at Hong Kong Island University.”

“Yeah, and here I was worried Mr. Ryuzaki might actually lose. It seems completely unnecessary now.”

“Go, Mr. Ryuzaki! Avenge us and teach these rude Great Xia People a lesson!”

All the specially invited students breathed a sigh of relief, convinced that Ryuzaki Ichiru’s victory was now guaranteed.

This included Ryuzaki Ichiru himself.

Although a sliver of doubt lingered in his mind about the respectful way those other Demon Beasts had looked at Chu Sheng, he didn’t dwell on it.

…

Soon, Chu Sheng and Su Li were on the Martial Arts Arena together.

This Ryuzaki Ichiru was, like Su Li, at the Fifth-Grade Realm Middle Stage. Logically, they should have been evenly matched.

But this was Su Li’s first time cooperating with an uncontracted Demon Beast, and for a moment, she had no idea what to do.

Just as her focus wavered, Ryuzaki Ichiru, her opponent, launched a direct attack! He drew his tachi and swung it at Su Li from a distance, sending a slash flying toward her.

A translucent shockwave shot toward her at high speed!

Without her Contracted Beast, Su Li could only dodge, narrowly avoiding the attack.

Chu Sheng watched the shockwave, a thoughtful look in his eyes. ’So that’s how it is!’

Hong Kong Island University emphasized the cultivation of Mental Power, so normally, these invited students should all be cultivating Mental Power as well.

But this Ryuzaki Ichiru carried a tachi.

Those who used swords and blades were typically Martial Artists who cultivated Qi Blood, unless the weapon itself was special.

And from that last attack, Chu Sheng had already figured it out.

This tachi could effortlessly convert Ryuzaki Ichiru’s Mental Power into a tangible attack, allowing him to slash out something similar to a Martial Artist’s Sword Aura!

’But what about that pure Realm on the blade?’

“Heh, not bad reflexes, Miss Su.”

“That was just a warning. The real attack is next, so be careful not to get hurt.”

Ryuzaki Ichiru said with a slimy tone, then raised his blade again. This time, his sword turned purple, and arcs of lightning crackled along its body!

Chu Sheng’s gaze sharpened!

’There it is. That’s it, the Thunder Realm!’

He stared intently at the tachi and finally noticed the secret. A dark purple Gemstone was embedded in the hilt, and the Thunder Realm was emanating from it!

“VMMM! VMMM! VMMM!”

Ryuzaki Ichiru slashed out three times in quick succession!

Empowered by the Thunder Realm, Ryuzaki Ichiru’s Sword Auras were not only much faster this time, but they also carried the formidable Power of Thunder and Lightning!

Of the three slashes, two went for Su Li, and one for Chu Sheng.

“What do I do?”

Su Li was frantic. Most of her attack techniques were designed to be used with her Contracted Beast. As it was, she had no way to counterattack.

She had just dodged one lightning-infused Sword Aura when the next one cut off her escape path!

’This is bad!’

Below the stage, a student from the Beast Taming Academy cried out.

“It’s over! The Divine Locust is strong, but it has no coordination with Su Li at all.”

“Su Li’s in danger!”

“There’s something weird about that sword! How can it materialize a Mental Power attack so quickly!”

On the Martial Arts Arena, Su Li’s heart leaped. The second Sword Aura was right in front of her, and it was too late to change direction. Fortunately, she had learned some basic defensive techniques of a Spiritual Mind Master!

In the blink of an eye, a shield of condensed Mental Power appeared before her.

However…

VMM!

The lightning Sword Aura struck the shield, and in less than half a second, the immense Power of Thunder and Lightning shattered it.

Su Li’s eyes widened, reflecting the purple lightning Sword Aura. It was too late to dodge; she could only instinctively shield herself with her arms.

Just as everyone thought the Sword Aura was about to hit Su Li, a giant cockroach suddenly appeared on her back.

Then, the giant cockroach and Su Li vanished together!

The lightning Sword Aura hit nothing but air. At the same time, Chu Sheng and Su Li reappeared on the other side of the Martial Arts Arena.

The moment they reappeared, Su Li was about to speak but was suddenly overcome by a dizzying, world-spinning sensation. She collapsed to the ground on the spot and started to throw up.

Chu Sheng was speechless. Who pukes after just one Instant Teleportation?

Still, it was a good thing Su Li weighed less than 110 pounds; otherwise, he wouldn’t have been able to carry her during the Instant Teleportation. This was Chu Sheng’s first time taking someone with him, and it didn’t seem to consume any extra Mental Power.

What he didn’t know, however, was that for someone who hadn’t comprehended the Spatial Realm, experiencing Instant Teleportation for the first time—even over a short distance—would cause extreme dizziness. Puking… was perfectly normal.

Chu Sheng couldn’t be bothered with the endlessly vomiting Su Li and turned his gaze to Ryuzaki Ichiru instead.

’Alright, I’ve pretty much figured out the secret of this tachi. So, what’s next?’

’Take the sword, of course. Your sword is my sword!’
