Love Strategy: CEO He is Really Scheming！

Chapter 917: Chapter 917: It’s My Duty to Take Care of You

Dawn Sutherland pursed his lips, ”I’m fine.”

Daisy Grant bit her lip, handing a cup of water to Dawn Sutherland, ”Second brother, have some warm water and rest for a bit. If your stomach still hurts, I’ll accompany you to the hospital, okay?”

Dawn Sutherland responded with a soft sound, listening to her call him second brother again out of concern. His gaze softened, and his tone was gentle, ”I’m fine, don’t worry. It might be because I’ve been a bit busy lately, and my eating schedule’s been irregular.”

”Then maybe don’t take medicine just yet, let’s have a meal first, alright? Special Assistant Brown brought back some food, have a bit, and if it still hurts after half an hour, then have some medicine, okay?”

Daisy Grant’s voice was very soft and gentle, comfortable, with visible worry and heartache in her eyes. Her fingers hadn’t moved from Dawn Sutherland’s stomach.

Dawn Sutherland’s lips curved into a faint smile, ”Alright.”

Daisy Grant helped Dawn Sutherland to the sofa in front of the coffee table to sit down. She arranged the items Sam Brown brought back on the coffee table, handing Dawn Sutherland rice and chopsticks.

”Second brother, even though work is busy, health matters more; meals should be regular. It’s not good to develop a stomach-ache.”

Dawn Sutherland nodded, ”Okay.” His gaze fell on another bowl of rice and the chopsticks, his face calm, but inwardly he gave a nod of approval to Sam Brown’s action, thinking this assistant was truly a great choice!

Dawn Sutherland, still maintaining a gentle expression, said warmly, ”You eat too, have a little, consider it accompanying me.”

Daisy Grant hesitated for a moment, seeing Dawn Sutherland’s slightly pale face, she didn’t refuse. She nodded and quietly sat beside Dawn Sutherland, picking up her bowl of rice to eat.

”Where did you go today?” Dawn Sutherland noticed Daisy Grant was only eating rice without picking up any dishes, so he reached over and added some for her.

Daisy Grant lowered her gaze, looking at the dishes in her bowl, and spoke with a low voice, ”I... I had to take care of some things. Second brother, today I... took two hundred thousand from your card, it might take a while to repay you...”

Dawn Sutherland looked at Daisy Grant, his voice low, ”Did something happen? Tell me what’s going on.”

Actually, he had already received a notification message from the bank, indicating it wasn’t spent via a POS machine, but transferred. In other words, Daisy wasn’t spending but needed it for another purpose.

He was just worried that she had encountered a problem; he hadn’t thought about questioning where the money went. The fact she was able to use his card made him secretly delighted.

Daisy Grant’s hand holding the chopsticks stiffened a bit, ”Second brother, I needed this money urgently, nothing’s wrong. I’ll repay you a little later, okay?”

Dawn Sutherland gave Daisy Grant a glance, his tone even more indifferent: ”Then considering the help you’ve given me before, how should I repay that?”

Daisy Grant could clearly hear something off in his tone. She recalled the scene last time when he got mad and told her not to call him second brother. This was exactly like then. Daisy quickly shook her head, ”Second brother, I was joking, I won’t repay. How could we be so distant, I’m supposed to use the card since you gave it to me, I’m just a little spoiled child now, and can’t repay the two hundred thousand. So second brother, just consider I didn’t say anything.”

Only then did Dawn Sutherland’s face improve slightly, and he spoke up: ”I won’t ask where the money went, but Daisy, if there’s any hardship or issues, you need to tell me. I’ve said we’ll never be strangers. And now, I also have obligations to care for you.”

Does having obligations mean regarding the certified matter? But she told second brother that they’d sign the divorce papers next year, had second brother forgotten?

Daisy Grant lowered her head, eating her meal, but her heart was in turmoil.

Daisy, you’re overthinking things, second brother’s obligation to care for you might just be because he sees you as pitiful for being unmarried with a child, wanting to treat you like a little sister!
