Chapter 913: Chapter 913: Everyone Is Investigating What Happened That Night at the Party...

-

The next day, Daisy Grant received a phone call while working at C.Y. Hearing the content of the call, Daisy asked Sam Brown for leave and left the company somewhat flustered with her bag.

Daisy arrived at the agreed address and waited for about ten minutes when a middle-aged man in a security uniform appeared in front of her.

This was a person she had met a couple of times before, the security guard on duty at the hotel the night of Dawn Sutherland’s opening party.

Upon seeing him, Daisy asked directly, ”Did you help me find my item?”

The man shook his head, ”Miss Grant, after you left that day and asked me to look for a purple shell, I searched the entire hotel but didn’t find it.”

Daisy pursed her lips, ”Never mind, I might have lost it somewhere else. Don’t look for it anymore. The fifty thousand I gave you initially can be considered your reward. Don’t let anyone know about this! Especially don’t let anyone know I lost something at the party!”

The man nodded, ”Miss Grant, you know my character. I’m sorry I couldn’t find your item after taking your payment. But Miss Grant, several people have come recently to inquire about what happened in Mr. Sutherland’s room that night, and they want to obtain surveillance footage from our security room.”

Daisy stiffened slightly and said in a low voice, ”You mean several people have become interested in what happened during Mr. Sutherland’s drunken night?”

The man nodded, ”And they’re willing to offer substantial compensation just to get the footage.”

Daisy wasn’t naive, understanding the security guard’s implication, she asked him, ”How much? Give me the video.”

”I feel secure working with Miss Grant, so I haven’t given the footage to anyone and chose to discuss this with Miss Grant instead.” The man said while handing a copied disc to Daisy, ”Miss Grant, the hotel security room has a version of the video that I’ve edited; this one is the complete video.”

Daisy held the footage from that night at the hotel, her fingertips slightly cool, ”You’ll come to the bank with me now, and I’ll transfer twenty thousand to you, but I hope you leave the hotel and don’t mention that night to anyone else. Those who come asking, you should know how to respond!”

The man nodded, ”I understand Miss Grant.”

Daisy took the security guard to the nearest ATM, with all her cards frozen, she had to use the card Aidan Sutherland gave her and transferred twenty thousand to the guard’s account immediately.

”Who are those people questioning you?” Daisy asked solemnly, clutching the videotape.

Who could be that concerned about what happened that night?

Having received a sum, the security guard was in high spirits and replied, ”They all attended the party that night. I remember one of them was actually Miss Grant’s escort that night! There was also a beautiful, fiery-looking girl with sharp facial features, and another beautiful, cheerful one who loves to laugh, who also attended the party! I remember her companion called her Evalian something... oh right, Evalian Chapman!”

The guard left happily after speaking.

Having gained twenty thousand, this guard couldn’t care less about his miserable job anymore!

Daisy felt a chill spread through her body, ”My escort that night was Aidan Sutherland. The fiery girl with sharp facial features who’s so interested in the second brother’s happenings can only be the ill-intentioned Elsa! I didn’t expect Evalian Chapman to also investigate that night’s events. Are the three of them suspicious of something?”

”The plan was provided by Elsa with the original intent to ruin me and my brother’s reputation, and now that I’m pregnant and married to my brother, it’s easy for her to connect to that night’s events. The pregnancy term can’t be concealed from doctors; as soon as it’s checked at the hospital how old the child is, that night’s matters will be revealed...”
