Chapter 839: Chapter 839: No Matter Where You Are, Contact Me!

Dawn Sutherland, Daisy Grant, and Nico Haynes were in the hospital room waiting for Arlo Seys to wake up.

Seeing Dawn again, Daisy’s mind inevitably drifted to that enchanting night at the party, feeling somewhat unnatural, deliberately keeping her distance from Dawn as she stood by the window.

Daisy’s intentional distance made Dawn’s heart feel slightly bitter.

He thought that as long as they were open with each other, rumors wouldn’t matter, yet it turned out she was also starting to distance herself from him, avoiding suspicion.

Was she afraid of Aidan misunderstanding? Dawn felt a sharp pain in his heart.

Time flowed silently.

When Arlo Seys awoke, night had fallen.

”Arlo.” ”Boss Seys.”

Dawn and Nico gathered around the hospital bed, both faces filled with joy and excitement.

Leaning by the window, Daisy also stepped forward, breathed a sigh of relief, and softly called out, ”Brother Seys.”

Arlo Seys acknowledged them with a sound, glanced around the room, and not seeing the figure he wanted, his eyes deepened, his voice weak and feeble: ”Where’s Ariel?”

He remembered Howard pointing the gun at Ariel, his eyes narrowed, quickly swapping positions with Ariel to block the bullet.

So where was Ariel? Was she safe?

Only then did Dawn and Nico realize, since their focus was entirely on the injured Arlo, Ariel... they hadn’t noticed.

Thinking back, it seemed Ariel didn’t follow them into the room?

Dawn and Nico exchanged a glance, unsure how to respond, when Daisy softly spoke up, ”Ariel left, saying her brother was in trouble, she had urgent matters to attend to.”

Arlo Seys said nothing, his gaze somewhat deep.

”By the way,” Daisy recalled something, took out the ancient silver bracelet, and handed it to Arlo Seys lying on the bed, ”Ariel asked me to give this to you before she left, Brother Seys.”

Arlo Seys’s gaze fell on the ancient silver bracelet, his eyes shrank fiercely, reaching out to take it. Holding the bracelet, his hand trembled slightly, his face turning a shade paler.

”Did she say anything?” Arlo Seys asked in a low voice, his voice tinged with sadness.

Daisy looked at his inexplicable sadness, shook her head, ”But I feel Ariel... seemed strange, indescribably so. When she handed me the bracelet, her face bore a faint smile, yet I clearly saw her body tremble, her gaze was vacant...”

Dawn’s face turned solemn, glancing at Arlo Seys’s reaction, asked, ”Did something happen, Arlo?”

”Where are my dad and Uncle?” Arlo Seys didn’t answer but asked in return, his voice hoarse and low.

Nico replied, ”Grandpa Seys was unwell and had to be hospitalized for urgent check-ups, Uncle Seys and others are with him.”

Arlo Seys’s face appeared extremely pale, he took his phone from beside the bed and dialed Ariel Morris’s number.

”Sorry, the number you have dialed is temporarily unavailable, please try again later...”

Arlo Seys tightly gripped the ancient silver bracelet, his eyes heavy, repeatedly dialing Ariel Morris’s number in vain, as the response was always unavailable.

Holding the phone, Arlo Seys’s knuckles turned pale, his thin lips parted slightly, sending a voice message.

”Ariel Morris, I don’t care where you are or what happened, contact me.”

Arlo Seys struggled to utter these words, the pain in his wound and heart suffocated him, his whole body chilled, suddenly falling into a daze.

As he began to lose consciousness, Arlo Seys’s lips trembled lightly, subconsciously muttering piecemeal, ”Find my dad... to help, help her... save Jorge Saxton...”

As the words fell, his vision turned completely dark, the ancient silver bracelet and phone in his hand dropped to the ground with a thud, Arlo Seys’s face lost all color, turning deathly pale.

”Arlo!”

”Boss Seys!”
