Love Strategy: CEO He is Really Scheming！

Chapter 801: Chapter 801: Role Brushed Off!

Even though she was wearing black tights, the dance created an illusion.

On pointe, with a white veil, every expression full of emotion, compelling, causing many present to applaud for her.

This side of Lydia Brooke, both strong and gentle, was something Jorge Saxton had never seen before.

Ana stood alongside the director, noticing his daze, she smiled and asked, ”Director, how is it?”

The director said nothing, once again casting his gaze toward Lydia Brooke, with a hint of inquiry.

This actress seemed different from the rumors; it was said she was arrogant, loved to act like a diva, and didn’t memorize her lines, only mouthing the words silently, relying entirely on post-production dubbing.

It was also said that she had offended a powerful figure and was thus banned by the entire circle.

Initially, she was cast as the mute girl entirely because of Producer Forest, otherwise with Lydia Brooke’s status, she could have directly played the lead role rather than a minor character.

Before filming even began, Producer Forest said that she was discontent with the small role and wanted to quit. Because of this, he lost all goodwill towards Lydia Brooke, turning into the indifferent attitude seen now.

However, the stage earlier seemed to show him a different Lydia Brooke than the recent rumors; someone who could perform such an expressive dance didn’t seem to be a person with a bad reputation!

The entire dance was breathtakingly beautiful!

The director was just about to speak when an assistant ran up with a phone, ”Director, phone call.”

Walking aside, the director argued with the person on the phone, occasionally glancing at Lydia Brooke with a complex expression.

After hanging up, the director walked over, said gravely, ”Find an attractive extra to play the mute girl.”

Upon hearing this, everyone present was stunned.

Clearly, Lydia Brooke was the most suitable choice; why would they rather cast an extra than have her play the role?

”Director, are you sure about this?” Ana frowned at him.

The director ignored her, quietly sitting in a chair watching the monitor, the assistant director was instructing a girl in a white veil about the mute girl’s scene, then clapped the slate to start filming.

Ana was momentarily stunned, disbelief etched on her face, ”They don’t even need an audition, just start filming?”

Though the girl tried her best to mimic the dance Lydia Brooke had performed, overall it seemed somewhat awkward, lacking the elegance that ballet should have.

”Cut, that’s a pass, get ready for the next scene.” The director shouted through a megaphone.

”What? Such a poor performance can pass? It’s simply too much, I’m going to...” Ana angrily rolled up her sleeves, looking ready to confront someone.

”Enough!” Lydia Brooke closed her eyes, it was clear someone was deliberately trying to embarrass her.

Lydia Brooke paused for a few seconds, opened her eyes, and turned around, ”Ana, let’s go!”

Using an extra to replace her, was this meant to show her that even an extra was deemed better than her now?

This was outright insulting her! Questioning her skills!

With her back to the director, Lydia Brooke’s cool voice rang out: ”For a film lacking quality like this, there’s no point in filming! Either I don’t participate, or I aim to present the work in its most perfect state!”

The director’s body stiffened, feeling indignant.

He didn’t wish for this either; if it weren’t for the investors saying, ”Either discard Lydia Brooke or withdraw funds,” he wouldn’t have abandoned her, to ensure filming proceeded normally.

They couldn’t let a single person delay the entire film’s progress!

”Lydia Brooke, it’s clear someone’s causing trouble behind the scenes.” Ana said, gritting her teeth.

”I know.”

”I’ll call Brother Howard.” Ana said, ready to pull out her phone, but Lydia Brooke stopped her.

”No, Ana, he probably isn’t doing much better than I am; calling him will only add to his worries.” Lydia Brooke replied with a bitter smile.
