Love Strategy: CEO He is Really Scheming！

Chapter 188: Chapter 188 Miss Morris’ Cheek is Extraordinarily Thick...

She casually mentioned wanting to eat those two things this morning, and by tonight he really brought them back! So, does he still care about her? Just like how she’s been thinking about him for eight years?

Ariel Morris lowered her head and smiled slightly, a warm feeling slowly rising from the bottom of her heart.

----

Three days later, Ariel Morris changed into a T-shirt and light-colored jeans, her hair tied at the back. Early in the morning, she made breakfast. Today was the day she went to Era for work.

When Arlo Seys came downstairs, Ariel Morris was sitting there having breakfast, a sweet smile on her face, glowing with youthful beauty.

Arlo Seys’ deep gaze landed on that unparalleled serene face. As time cycled, she remained exactly the same as in his memory from eight years ago.

Ariel Morris ate breakfast while browsing Weibo. Whenever she saw something funny, she couldn’t help but laugh out loud, her demeanor pure and adorable. Arlo Seys’ eyes softened as he walked downstairs.

Hearing the movement on the stairs, Ariel Morris, who was browsing Weibo, looked up, still wearing a sweet smile, and greeted Arlo Seys, ”Morning, Arlo Seys.”

Arlo Seys sat down with a calm expression and quietly ate his breakfast.

Ignoring his indifference, Ariel Morris continued eating and browsing Weibo, occasionally laughing out loud, in a particularly good mood.

After finishing breakfast, Arlo Seys, impeccably dressed in his suit, walked out.

Ariel Morris immediately put down her breakfast, picked up her phone, and chased after him, ”Arlo Seys, give me a ride, it’s too inconvenient to take the bus from here, I’ll be late!”

Arlo Seys, with an indifferent face, took the car keys from the entrance, ignored Ariel Morris’ chatter, and walked towards the garage.

Upon reaching the garage, Arlo Seys unlocked the car, got in, maintaining an indifferent expression throughout, without any other emotion.

Ariel Morris pulled open the car’s front passenger door, beaming at the person inside the car, ”Can I take a seat?”

Arlo Seys started the car, his face aloof, ”No.”

”....” Ariel Morris’ smile froze at the corners of her lips, ”Can’t you give me a lift since it’s on the way?”

Arlo Seys, with an indifferent face, said, ”Miss Morris, are you paying for hitching a ride? What’s our relationship? I don’t want rumors about us spreading to Era! Have you forgotten your place?”

”Come on, I made breakfast for you early in the morning. Give me a ride, will you? Arlo Seys, as the president of Era, shouldn’t you be caring towards your employees? Even if you encounter an Era employee on the street who’s about to be late and wants a lift, you should provide it to show your charm.”

Arlo Seys glanced at her, ”Finished talking?”

”Yes.” Ariel Morris nodded.

Arlo Seys snorted coldly, ”Era provides travel subsidies for official employees. Usually, people wouldn’t shamelessly hitch a ride.” Not to mention which employee would stop his car and ask for a lift. Even if he agreed to give one, probably not many would dare to get in.

Arlo Seys’ words left Ariel Morris speechless with anger.

Firstly, the implication in Arlo Seys’ words was clear: you’re not considered an official employee at Era yet, passing the probationary period is still uncertain!

Secondly, Miss Morris, your skin is thicker than the average person’s...

When Arlo Seys said he wouldn’t give her a lift, he really did hit the gas and left without looking back.

By the time Ariel Morris reached Era, she was barely on time, just five minutes before being late.

She stood at the entrance catching her breath for a moment before sprinting into the company’s doors.

As soon as she entered and waited in front of the elevator, she saw the CEO’s exclusive elevator doors slowly closing. Just a glimpse inside she saw a girl standing next to Arlo Seys in the elevator. Her brows were gentle like water, with a light smile on her lips, her chestnut curls elegantly styled, appearing to be a well-bred girl.
