Love Strategy: CEO He is Really Scheming！

Chapter 155: Chapter 155: You’ll Have to Ask Your Sister-in-law About This

”Boss, I’m going to eat you bankrupt!” Nico Haynes shouted, jumping in frustration.

Arlo Seys chuckled, ”Do as you like, after all, you’ve been freeloading meals since childhood, and it hasn’t bankrupted me yet, so I don’t mind you continuing.”

Nico Haynes gritted his teeth, ”...You’re filthy rich!”

Ariel Morris laughed heartily and casually chimed in, ”Arlo, did you arrange this? Where did the hot pot come from? And you even got such a small gas canister, I love hot pot!!”

Arlo Seys smiled faintly, put away the umbrella, and sat down with Ariel Morris, then quietly explained, ”Because my grandma used to be a Buddhist, she would go to offer incense on the first and fifteenth of each month. Over the years, our family has been donating incense money annually, becoming regular donors at Red Fragrance Hill temple, and I’ve known the temple’s manager, so I asked them to prepare it.”

Nico Haynes clicked his tongue twice, ”These days, it’s all about connections, everyone in City C knows the Seys Family...” His unfinished sentence was stifled by a warning glance from Arlo Seys, which he swallowed back himself.

Arlo Seys turned to look at Ariel Morris, seeing her focus entirely on the hot pot, her eyes gleaming with desire, he sighed in relief.

When Ariel Morris heard what Nico Haynes said earlier, her fingertips trembled slightly, her eyes lowered to hide her emotions. But when she felt Arlo Seys’ anxious gaze, she immediately acted naturally, staring fixedly at the hot pot in front of her, as if she couldn’t wait.

The steaming hot pot, fresh vegetables, spicy broth, the four of them ate heartily and joyfully.

The sound of laughter and conversation filled the top of Red Fragrance Hill.

After the hot pot meal, tiny beads of sweat appeared on their bodies, driving away the previous chill.

The temple manager had also prepared a pot of boiling hot tea for them, and the four of them sat in the pavilion, enjoying tea and admiring the snow after their meal.

Outside the pavilion, the snow kept falling relentlessly, already piling up into a thick white layer on the ground.

”I say, life is about seizing joy in the moment, today has been truly delightful,” Nico Haynes said contentedly.

Dawn Sutherland smiled gently, ”The first snow since the beginning of winter, and it fell so magnificently.”

Ariel Morris, ”Today has been so joyful, I really don’t know when the next time we’ll admire the snow together will be.”

The Arlo she loved, her gentle and warm big brother figure Dawn, and the sharp-tongued Nico who always bantered with her, meeting each other in their youth and sharing these days together—a truly unforgettable experience.

However, if she and Arlo Seys were to break up, would all these romances and friendships need to be severed? The thought alone filled her heart with pain and distress.

Arlo Seys turned to look at her, ”If you want to come, we can come every year.”

Ariel Morris smiled softly, picked up the teacup in front of her, and sipped to mask her emotions.

Beside her, Arlo Seys looked at her, a trace of doubt flickering in his eyes.

Why did he feel more and more unable to understand Ariel’s emotions? Lately, she always seemed to be just out of reach; where exactly was his mistake?

While Arlo Seys was pondering, Dawn Sutherland’s voice rang out, ”Tomorrow is Christmas, what’s everyone’s plan?”

Nico Haynes mischievously glanced at the couple seated opposite, ”I’m easy, as long as the boss doesn’t mind me being a third wheel, I can shamelessly tag along with a certain couple for Christmas.”

Arlo Seys smiled faintly, ”You’ll have to ask your sister-in-law about that.”

”...” The other three looked up simultaneously, surprised at this grenade thrown out.

Ariel Morris blushed a little, feigning annoyance, ”What are you saying, Arlo? The bet with Nico was just in jest, it’s not like he really has to change the way he addresses me.”

Nico Haynes grumbled with a long face, ”Boss, to win a beauty’s favor, you sold out your brothers, is that really okay?”
