Urban Supreme Evil Young Master

Coming out of Leng Qingqiu’s office, Lu Yu directly returned to his own office, turned on his computer, and started watching a movie.

The earlier incident, for others, might have been incredibly shocking. After all, the dignified leader of the Celestial Wolf Association, Yunting, actually bowed and apologized to Lu Yu in public, which was truly astonishing for them.

But for Lu Yu, this was really nothing. If he were to rank the people who had apologized to him before, Yunting would only be at the very bottom!

Thinking of this, Lu Yu shook his head, not paying much attention to these matters, because, for him, this was really just a small thing. What he wanted to do now was find out exactly where the so-called sniper was, and then figure out who was orchestrating everything behind the scenes.

Being able to intervene in Li Shengtao’s kidnapping tactics, inquire about his parents, and even make Li Shengtao and Yunting take the blame, the way of shifting the blame left even Lu Yu quietly impressed!

”Looks like I was targeted as soon as I returned, this matter is far from simple.”

At this point, Lu Yu shook his head helplessly.

With everything that had happened with the Lu Family back in the day, it seemed like it was way more complicated than it appeared. It became clear that his idea of quickly finding the truth was entirely unattainable. Now, all he could do was start with this sniper and slowly unveil the mastermind behind these events, to uncover what really happened to the Lu Family!

”Sigh, slow and steady it is...”

At that thought, Lu Yu slightly shook his head, then turned his attention back to the computer, focusing intently on the movie.

...

As time passed, it was soon time for Lu Yu to clock out. He drove back to his house, and upon entering, he saw Meng Yue in his room, cooking chicken soup rice noodles in a clay pot, her short hair complementing her chic and cool looks, adding a unique charm.

”Oh, seems like there’s rice noodles on the menu again today.”

Seeing Meng Yue’s appearance, Lu Yu spoke with a smile, ”Hey beauty, what’s up today? What’s got you cooking suddenly? Do you need a favor from me?”

Looking at Meng Yue, Lu Yu laughed and spoke with a smile.

Meng Yue, this little lass, was indeed quite a willful girl. Despite her cool demeanor, her personality was nothing like her appearance suggested. So, the fact that she’s cooking rice noodles for him once again probably means she’s up to something.

”Two things!”

Upon hearing Lu Yu’s words, Meng Yue said, showing a slight smile on her cool face.

”Not doing it!”

Upon hearing Meng Yue’s words, Lu Yu shook his head with a determined stance and said.

”You don’t even know what they are yet?” Meng Yue replied with a hint of surprise in her voice.

”No need to know.”

Listening to Meng Yue, Lu Yu replied, ”Beauty, you cook once to ask me for two things? I’m not dumb. How could I agree?”

Addressing Meng Yue, Lu Yu spoke with a calm demeanor.

”Oh, but you don’t have a choice! I’m requesting your cooperation as a police officer,” Meng Yue said nonchalantly, ignoring Lu Yu’s previous statement. ”Here it is, the first thing is to teach me how to make that Awakening Soup, and the second is to accompany me shopping tomorrow.”

Hearing this, Lu Yu was left speechless. So it turns out, Meng Yue wasn’t even asking for his opinion this time!

Thinking of this, he looked at Meng Yue and then said, ”Beauty, is this how all detectives handle things? Needing company to go shopping?”

”Detectives are human too,” Meng Yue replied to Lu Yu’s question, ”Plus, I’m the only one off tomorrow. All my friends and besties aren’t around, and I can’t just stay home sleeping all day, so I figured I might as well have you accompany me shopping.”

Upon hearing this, Lu Yu chuckled slightly. He used to believe all police officers were stern and rigid, but today he realized that officers are also regular people who need some leisure shopping when not on duty.

Thinking of this, Lu Yu chuckled and said, ”Alright then, if that’s the case, I’ll take a day off tomorrow specifically to go shopping with you. It’s a good chance for me to relax, too.”

After the past couple of days, Lu Yu realized he really needed some shopping relaxation, as he hadn’t had a proper stroll since he came back.

”Really?” Meng Yue asked with a slight smile in her eyes upon hearing Lu Yu’s words.

”Of course, I always keep my word,”

Lu Yu chuckled, ”By the way, is the rice noodle ready? I’m starving.”

”It’s ready,”

Meng Yue presented the rice noodle in front of Lu Yu with a smile, and the scene between them resembled a newlywed couple.

Looking at the rice noodles in front of him, Lu Yu smiled slightly, just about to pick up his chopsticks. At that moment, Meng Yue interrupted him saying, ”Wait, you haven’t agreed to one more condition!”

Hearing this, Lu Yu laughed helplessly. This little lass, Meng Yue, really left him speechless. Thinking of this, Lu Yu shook his head and then said, ”Alright, I agree. I’ll give you the recipe once I finish the noodles, okay?”

”That’s more like it,”

Meng Yue replied with a satisfied look on her delicate face at Lu Yu’s words.

Seeing Meng Yue’s smile, Lu Yu also smiled slightly, then lowered his head, and took a big bite of the rice noodles.

Seeing Lu Yu devour the rice noodles, Meng Yue couldn’t help but feel a wave of warmth surge into her heart. This feeling made her feel comfortable, wanting it to last forever.
