Urban Supreme Evil Young Master

At this moment, Lu Yu arrived at his office and just sat down. Immediately, the security guards, including Wu Song, surged over, blocking Lu Yu’s view, and said: ”Boss, you were awesome just now, making Yunting bow and apologize to you. I have to admit it!”

Everyone in the room, including Wu Song, knew very well who Yunting was—the top figure in LA City’s crime world, the kind of person who commands respect everywhere!

Yet, such a figure had just bowed and apologized humbly to Lu Yu in front of Victory Group’s entrance—what a shock for Wu Song and the others!

Esteemed Yunting bowed and apologized meekly to the manager of their security department, and didn’t even dare to lift his head. Thinking about this, an indescribable sense of pride surged in the hearts of all the security guards present.

”So, you’re saying you’ve never really respected me before?”

Upon hearing Wu Song’s words, Lu Yu raised his eyebrows slightly and said, his words full of amusement.

”How could that be?”

As soon as he heard Lu Yu, Wu Song quickly denied and said: ”Boss, I’ve always admired you wholeheartedly.”

Watching Lu Yu in front of him, Wu Song spoke full of admiration. If Lu Yu’s impressive skills recently made them obey, then today’s incident truly made all of them genuinely respect him!

If even Yunting, whom others must show deference to, treats Lu Yu with such servility, what chance do they have?

Just after saying this, as Lu Yu was about to respond, the phone on the desk suddenly rang.

”Hello, Security Department, this is Lu Yu...”

Lu Yu picked up the phone and started speaking, but before he could finish, a cold voice abruptly came through.

”Come to my office now—immediately!”

The words came out icy and indisputable, and Lu Yu could easily guess it was Leng Qingqiu calling.

Upon hearing the words, Lu Yu shook his head helplessly, then looked at Wu Song in front of him and said: ”Alright, stop crowding around—get back to work. Remember what I’ve always said: if you’re employed here, honor the salary with your effort. And when you encounter troublemakers...”

”Fight directly, don’t wimp out!”

After hearing Lu Yu’s words, Wu Song and the others echoed loudly, their voices firm and confident.

With even someone like Yunting bowing and apologizing to Lu Yu, others are insignificant.

”Good.”

Hearing Wu Song and the others, Lu Yu nodded and immediately stepped into the elevator, heading up to Leng Qingqiu’s floor.

In Leng Qingqiu’s office, she sat before the desk, holding a fragrant cup of coffee, clearly waiting for Lu Yu.

”Sweetheart, what’s up?”

Seeing Leng Qingqiu, Lu Yu casually plopped down before her and asked.

Watching Lu Yu enter, Leng Qingqiu took a delicate sip of coffee and then asked: ”Your presence just now was quite substantial—care to explain what’s going on?”

”What’s going on?”

Looking at Leng Qingqiu, Lu Yu replied nonchalantly, his tone unconcerned.

”Don’t play dumb with me!”

Leng Qingqiu said upon seeing Lu Yu’s dismissive attitude: ”Why did Yunting bow and apologize to you at the entrance earlier?”

Leng Qingqiu was really shocked by the scene earlier. As the CEO of Victory Group, she was familiar with LA City’s landscape—there’s no way she wouldn’t know someone like Yunting.

Precisely because of this, she was extremely curious about the earlier incident. She desperately wanted to know how this man, who had been missing for five years, could inspire such deference from LA City’s illustrious crime boss, Yunting, after being back less than a month!

Even when the Lu Family was standing strong, such a situation would never happen!

”Interesting.”

Upon hearing Leng Qingqiu, Lu Yu shook his head, smiling: ”He made a mistake—why shouldn’t he bow and apologize to me? Isn’t it basic etiquette to apologize to the offended party after making a mistake?”

”Sweetheart, didn’t you study abroad? Your concept of etiquette is surprisingly poor!”

Sitting on the sofa, Lu Yu remarked lightly, his tone sounding quite flippant.

As soon as these words came out, Leng Qingqiu was momentarily stunned, suddenly unsure how to respond to Lu Yu.

The act of apologizing for mistakes is naturally appropriate, so logically, Yunting’s apology made sense.

But the crucial point is that Yunting is not an ordinary person—he’s the head of the Celestial Wolf Association, a crime boss apologizing to someone who disappeared for five years—no matter how you spin it, Leng Qingqiu is deeply curious.

”Don’t try to divert the topic; I’m asking for the reason! Why did he apologize to you specifically?” Leng Qingqiu asked Lu Yu.

”Because he did something wrong to me?”

Looking at Leng Qingqiu, Lu Yu answered matter-of-factly: ”Sweetheart, after five years apart, I found your wisdom has grown in the wrong place. If Yunting didn’t do anything wrong to me, would it make sense for him to apologize?”

”You!”

Upon hearing Lu Yu’s words, Leng Qingqiu was once again at a loss, completely led astray by Lu Yu, unsure how to refute him.

Seeing Leng Qingqiu’s expression, Lu Yu smiled mildly and said: ”Alright, sweetheart, everyone has secrets they don’t want to share.”

”Just like if I asked you what color underwear you’re wearing, you wouldn’t tell me, right? Let’s be considerate of each other,” Lu Yu said to Leng Qingqiu, his tone carrying a gentle smile.

”Lu Yu!”

Upon hearing Lu Yu, Leng Qingqiu’s cheeks blushed, and she said to Lu Yu: ”You’re still the same as five years ago—a complete jerk!”

”Oh, thank you for the compliment. If there’s nothing else, I’ll get back to work,” Lu Yu replied indifferently, as the word ’jerk’ had long lost its edge after years of hearing it from Leng Qingqiu. To him, it now sounded like ’good person.’

After finishing this sentence, Lu Yu slowly stood up and walked towards Leng Qingqiu’s office exit. In that brief moment, Leng Qingqiu seemed to glimpse something else.

”What has happened to him over the past five years...”

Watching Lu Yu’s back, Leng Qingqiu pondered quietly.
