Urban Supreme Evil Young Master

Getting off the bus, Lu Yu arrived at the headquarters of LA City Bank.

Since Guo Jiarui had given Lu Yu a cheque from Lin’an Bank, Lu Yu had to go to the bank where the account was opened to cash it, so he had to come here to do the exchange this time.

Arriving at Lin’an Bank, many customers were already waiting in the business lobby, queuing with their numbers and waiting quietly.

Seeing this scene, Lu Yu went to the ticket machine to take a VIP number, ready to conduct his business. However, at this moment, the bank’s lobby manager blocked his path.

”Excuse me, sir, I think you might have taken the wrong number. For deposit and withdrawal services, you need to take a regular number and wait in line. VIP numbers are for VIP customers of our bank and aren’t available to regular customers.”

Just as Lu Yu took a VIP number, the lobby manager quickly approached him and spoke.

He had been the lobby manager for some time and had a keen eye. Although Lu Yu was dressed in a suit, his attire wasn’t particularly expensive, and based on past experience and Lu Yu’s current outfit, he quickly concluded that Lu Yu was just an ordinary customer.

”What do you mean? I’m here to cash a cheque. Why can’t I use this number?” Lu Yu asked, looking at the lobby manager.

”Sir, we have a policy here: to become a VIP customer, you must conduct transactions over two million at once,” the lobby manager said, his voice slightly raised, with a hint of disdain in his eyes.

His meaning was clear: You, a poor guy who can’t conduct business over two million, should take a regular number and wait, instead of bothering me at work.

Hearing this, Lu Yu smiled wryly. Five years ago, whenever he entered a bank, the bank leaders would rush out to greet him like lackeys. But now, five years later, even a lobby manager has become someone who judges only by clothes and not by people!

Thinking of this, Lu Yu glanced at the man in front of him and said, ”How do you know my transaction isn’t over two million?”

”I’m sorry, but I really can’t see you having the ability to conduct a two million transaction!” The lobby manager, clearly not wanting to continue entangling with Lu Yu, coldly smiled and said, ”We’re all busy. If you need to withdraw money, you can use the ATM; there’s no need to come to the counter.”

The lobby manager’s words were a blatant insult to Lu Yu. The ATM’s daily limit is only twenty thousand, and by saying this, he was clearly implying that Lu Yu’s transaction was less than twenty thousand.

Upon hearing the manager’s words, Lu Yu smiled and, looking at the lobby manager, said, ”I want to cash a cheque for fifty million!”

”Sir, if you’re bored, you could take a stroll in the park; the environment there is way better. We’re busy and don’t have time to play around with you here,” the lobby manager replied impatiently, looking at Lu Yu with scorn, not believing he could exchange such a large sum.

Hearing this, Lu Yu pulled out a cheque and said coldly, ”I said I want to cash a cheque for fifty million!”

The lobby manager, annoyed, glanced at the cheque Lu Yu was holding and was abruptly stunned.

Because written on Lu Yu’s cheque was indeed fifty million!

Buzz!

Seeing the cheque amount, the lobby manager was completely dumbfounded, cold sweat broke out on his forehead instantly.

A fifty million cheque! What kind of concept is that?

Simply counting the money was a colossal task!

Realizing this, the lobby manager’s attitude instantly changed as he looked at Lu Yu and said, ”I’m sorry, sir, I didn’t recognize your eminence. However, such a large amount requires an appointment for preparation. Can we...”

”So you’re saying it can’t be cashed?” Lu Yu asked coldly, looking at the lobby manager.

”It can! But you need to schedule an appointment so we can arrange the cash. Can you see this...” The lobby manager said awkwardly.

”Since it can’t be cashed, then transfer the money to this ICBC card—fifty million in total!” Lu Yu took out his payroll card and told the manager.

Hearing this, the lobby manager was stunned. It couldn’t be played like this—every bank in the country was fighting for deposits. If he pushed fifty million out due to short-sightedness, there was no need for him to work here!

Thinking of this, the lobby manager paused, then pulled out his phone to contact the bank director, realizing his earlier imprudence had offended Lu Yu. He could only let his superior handle it.

After a call, a middle-aged man in a suit quickly ran downstairs. Upon seeing the lobby manager, he shouted angrily, ”Fool! How are you handling things? VIP customer requests are our priority. Have you forgotten this?”

Turning to Lu Yu, he said quickly, ”Sir, may I ask your last name? I’m the director here. This was our oversight; please forgive us. We can cash the cheque for you and open an account to deposit the funds. How does that sound?”

The director used every effort to retain the fifty million in funds, as losing such a large amount for no reason would be a huge regret.

”Oh?” Lu Yu raised an eyebrow at the director’s words and said, ”No need to trouble you. Your Lin’an Bank acts so high and mighty. Someone just said I can’t handle transactions over two million—I won’t stay with you. Quickly cash the cheque and transfer it to the ICBC account. I don’t want to waste words with you!”

Lu Yu’s tone was impatient, urging them to speed up, with no room for negotiation, as he was thoroughly annoyed by the lobby manager’s snobbish behavior!
