Urban Supreme Evil Young Master

”What are the conditions?”

Upon hearing this, Lu Yu looked at Leng Qingqiu in front of him and asked.

”Be my fiancé. I’ll cover your living and working expenses in LA City—isn’t that reasonable?” Leng Qingqiu said slowly, looking at Lu Yu, her words calm and composed.

”Aren’t I already your fiancé?”

Hearing Leng Qingqiu’s words, Lu Yu responded with a question.

”You disappeared for five years. According to the rules, a person missing for a year can be considered dead. You were gone for five years, so naturally, you were declared dead, and the previous engagement was dissolved.”

At this moment, Leng Qingqiu slowly walked to her desk, and after quickly typing with her fingers that resembled scallion segments, she took out a contract and a pen from the printer next to her, placing them before Lu Yu, and said, ”Take a look. If you have no objections, then sign it.”

Upon hearing Leng Qingqiu, Lu Yu picked up the contract in front of him, scanned it quickly, then smiled slightly, revealing a hint of a smile.

According to the contract’s content, Leng Qingqiu wanted him to be her fake fiancé, thus freeing her from the pursuits of a series of wealthy suitors.

Since Leng Qingqiu and Lu Yu got engaged five years ago, the number of wealthy suitors pestering her had significantly decreased, allowing her to enjoy a long period of peace. However, due to the decline of the Lu Family and Lu Yu’s disappearance, the previous engagement became void, making her once again the target of many wealthy suitors.

Today, seeing Lu Yu return alive, she couldn’t help but remember the peaceful life brought by the previous engagement, and because she had an original engagement with Lu Yu, she suddenly thought of this condition.

”No problem, I’ll sign it.”

Lu Yu scanned the contract on the table with a smile, effortlessly signing his name.

His return this time was to investigate the mysterious death of his parents and reclaim what belonged to him, so the contract barely affected him.

”Great, since you’ve agreed so readily, I’ll notify the HR department right away. There’s currently an open position for a security manager, and you can start tomorrow.”

Upon hearing Lu Yu’s quick agreement to her conditions, Leng Qingqiu spoke and picked up the phone beside her, saying, ”Xiaoxia, please bring five thousand in cash from the finance department to my office quickly.”

After speaking on the phone, Leng Qingqiu slowly turned to Lu Yu, saying, ”Actually, having you be the security manager doesn’t place too many demands on you. Your main duty is to fend off those pesky young wealthy suitors. Is there a problem with that?”

As the hottest beauty in LA City, the daily pursuits of wealthy heirs made her, who was focused on her career, feel very annoyed.

”No problem, I’m happy to do it.”

Upon hearing this, Lu Yu smiled and spoke casually without any resistance, accepting naturally.

The position of security manager is quite a relaxed one, very suitable for him.

”President Leng, here’s the five thousand dollars.”

At this moment, the door slowly opened, and a beautiful woman in professional attire walked in with a thick paper package in her hand.

Seeing this beauty, Lu Yu was slightly stunned; this girl was actually Xia Bing, whom he had saved on the subway earlier.

Seeing Lu Yu before her, Xia Bing was clearly somewhat surprised. She never expected that Lu Yu, who saved her earlier in the morning, would be in the president’s office now.

At this moment, seeing Xia Bing, Lu Yu nodded slightly, considering it as a greeting.

”Considering you just came back with nothing, this five thousand dollars is my gift to you. Use it to rent an apartment and freshen up yourself. To be honest, you really look like a beggar.” Looking at the five thousand dollars in Xia Qing’s hand, Leng Qingqiu said to Lu Yu.

Seeing the money, Lu Yu now smiled slightly, unceremoniously taking all the money from Xia Bing’s hands, then smiled slightly at Xia Bing to express his gratitude.

”You’re right.” After taking the money, Lu Yu stashed it into his luggage, then said to Leng Qingqiu, ”But you have to understand, becoming a beggar in such harsh conditions is way better than turning into a corpse.”

Saying this, Lu Yu patted his luggage, then said, ”Thanks for the money, I’ll start working tomorrow morning.”

After saying this, Lu Yu directly got up and walked out of Leng Qingqiu’s office.

Watching Lu Yu’s departing back, Leng Qingqiu showed a trace of surprise in her eyes.

The guy who couldn’t stop ingratiating himself with her five years ago, after disappearing for five years, now didn’t even glance at her, which surprised her greatly.

At the same time as her surprise, her heart couldn’t help but grow a little curious.

...

After leaving Victory Group, Lu Yu headed straight to the nearest real estate agency. He had just returned to LA City and didn’t have a place to stay yet, so renting a residence was his immediate task.

At this moment, glancing at his reflection in a store window, he saw his somewhat weathered face and couldn’t help but shake his head.

Due to conditions, he rarely cared about his appearance over the past five years. Now, suddenly looking at himself, he realized that he indeed looked quite too weathered, a far cry from the fresh-faced guy he was five years ago.

”Looks like I indeed need to clean up, I do look too grief-stricken and deep in enemy territory.”

At this moment, Lu Yu looked at himself and couldn’t help but chuckle, ”I prefer the cavalier attitude from five years ago, though it was a bit flamboyant, it perfectly concealed my motives...”

Just as Lu Yu was speaking halfway, he suddenly froze because reflected in the mirror he saw a black SUV parked behind him, the driver inside frequently glancing at him deliberately.

Seeing this, the corners of Lu Yu’s mouth slightly curved up. Since someone has come uninvited, he’ll accompany them to the end. However, he didn’t want to resolve matters in public.

Currently, he didn’t want to cause too much commotion, and if he were to make a move and be seen by others, it wouldn’t be ideal either.

Thinking this, Lu Yu smiled slightly, then turned and headed into a nearby deep alley, with the black SUV quickly following him.
