Urban Supreme Evil Young Master

After arriving at Victory Group, Lu Yu headed straight to the security department. Since Leng Qingqiu had already notified the HR department yesterday, Lu Yu entered Victory Group today without any hindrance.

The security office is located on the first floor of Victory Group’s building. At this moment, Lu Yu entered the security office, where he saw a spacious room filled with more than thirty uniformed security guards, each with a robust build, appearing full of energy.

Being one of the iconic enterprises in LA City, Victory Group is naturally a high-end place. Unlike other companies, every guard here is dressed in a black suit, matching their muscular physique, appearing more like trained agents.

In front of all the security personnel sat a burly man with knotted muscles, seemingly giving a speech. When Lu Yu came in, the man frowned slightly and immediately said, ”Who are you? We’re having a meeting, who let you in!?”

The man’s words were very rude, and his choice of words was annoying to Lu Yu. However, since it was Lu Yu’s first day at work, he didn’t want to strain relations with them. At this moment, he simply smiled faintly and said, ”I’m Lu Yu, the new manager of the security department.”

”The security department’s manager?”

Upon hearing Lu Yu’s words, a flash of malice quickly passed through the man’s eyes.

The man’s name is Wu Song, the deputy manager of the security department, a former special forces soldier. Since the security department is a marginal department within Victory Group, he was the sole deputy manager, and as there was no appointed manager, he had been handling security responsibilities.

Wu Song was displeased by Lu Yu’s self-introduction because he received the HR department’s notice about Lu Yu’s appointment yesterday but never took it seriously.

For Wu Song, who had been in the deputy manager position for three years, the role of manager should logically fall to him. Why should the manager’s role be given to an unknown kid?

Originally, he intended to use today’s meeting to give the new manager a tough time, but the entrance of Lu Yu interrupted this plan.

Wu Song assessed Lu Yu up and down with his eyes, feeling even more enraged, ”It’s just this skinny kid trying to take my manager position? Watch out, in less than a month, I’ll make you leave here voluntarily!”

With this thought, Wu Song slowly stood up, a smile on his face as he said to Lu Yu, ”Ah, Manager Lu, my apologies. Since we’re having a meeting, why not have Manager Lu say a few words to everyone? Let’s give a round of applause!”

At this moment, Wu Song spoke to the thirty or so security guards present, subtly signaling them with his eyes.

The security guards, having followed Wu Song for some time, understood his signal instantly.

Following Wu Song’s words, none of the security guards clapped, leaving the large office in an awkward silence.

Seeing this, Lu Yu couldn’t help but smile slightly, ignoring the awkward atmosphere and said, ”Let me introduce myself, I’m Lu Yu, your new boss. I hope everyone will follow my arrangements to maintain the order of Victory Group and earn your pay worthily.”

Lu Yu had seen his father conduct meetings before, so he knew these words were proper. Although common, they weren’t wrong.

However, as soon as he spoke, none of the security guards clapped; instead, they rolled their eyes, showing disdain.

Lu Yu continued to smile, asking, ”Is there anything dissatisfactory about what I said?”

”Yes!” At this moment, a well-built man raised his hand and said, ”We definitely earn our pay, but Manager Lu, your physique seems unfit for the manager position.”

The security guards were all former soldiers and revered strength. To them, Lu Yu appeared slender and even somewhat weak, which was unappealing.

Upon hearing the man’s words, Lu Yu’s gaze turned cold. He then glanced at Wu Song, who was watching him with undisguised contempt.

Lu Yu chuckled to himself, noting that while the world had no shortage of intelligent people, there were always fools like Wu Song and the man who questioned him.

With this thought, Lu Yu smiled slightly and said, ”Whether I’m fit for the role depends on my work performance, not my physique. Yet, with your powerful backs, when the boss was blocked at the entrance yesterday, you didn’t dare make a sound. Is that what you call earning your pay?”

Lu Yu’s words, though softly spoken, reverberated in the ears of every security guard present, causing their expressions to change slightly.

Indeed, yesterday, the guards cowardly failed, and upon hearing Lu Yu’s remark, irritation flared within them, feeling that even at their worst, they were much stronger than the seemingly weak Lu Yu.

”Even at our worst, we’re stronger than you. With your build, I could knock three like you down with one punch. Just relying on your connection with the president, what are you showing off here for?” The man then said contemptuously.

The man’s words angered Lu Yu, and he pointed a finger at the man, coldly saying, ”You! Step outside!”

The man, hearing Lu Yu, looked at Wu Song before stepping out, looking provocatively at Lu Yu, ”Alright, what do you want to do?”

”Think I’m showing off? Fine, let’s have a match outside today!” Lu Yu said coldly to the man before turning and walking out of the security office.

”A match it is; hope you don’t go crying to the president later!”

The security guard replied to Lu Yu while following him out of the security office.

Wu Song and the other guards witnessing this couldn’t help but show anticipation, each following the man out of the security office.
