Urban Supreme Evil Young Master

Driving the Victory Group’s company car, Xia Bing took Lu Yu to the LA City’s pedestrian street, then found a decent hair salon to cut his tousled hair into a neat short style. Afterwards, she took Lu Yu to buy two suits and some casual sports outfits.

At this moment, Lu Yu, changing into a brand new sports outfit, wiped away his former dispirited and weather-beaten appearance, looking completely refreshed and radiant.

Walking slowly on the pedestrian street with Xia Bing, Lu Yu felt that his eyes were almost not enough to take in the sights; the entire street was full of beauties, making him feel overwhelmed.

It was now May, and although the temperature wasn’t too high, some beauties already impatiently changed into short skirts and summer wear, revealing white thighs all over the street. This caused Lu Yu, who had stayed on an isolated island for five years, to feel a bit dazed.

”Home-town girls are the best beauties!”

Looking at the beauties coming and going on the street, Lu Yu took a deep breath and said softly, as if expelling the gloomy aura from the island.

Saying this, Lu Yu slightly turned his gaze and looked at Xia Bing beside him, and said, ”By the way, I heard Leng Qingqiu call you Assistant Xia; you’re her assistant?”

”Yes.”

Upon hearing Lu Yu’s words, Xia Bing nodded to confirm.

”Being her assistant must be exhausting. Just thinking about it gives me a headache,” Lu Yu said very casually, with a hint of amusement in his words.

”Not really, President Leng has always treated me nicely, giving me a high salary every month. I cherish this job very much,” Xia Bing said with a smile.

Hearing this, Lu Yu couldn’t help but nod. The position of the assistant to the president is not the same as that of a secretary; it’s not a position you can just assume without effort. It requires not only good education but also assisting the president in making a series of decisions, essentially a senior executive position within the Victory Group.

Thinking about this, Lu Yu couldn’t help but see the seemingly delicate Xia Bing beside him with new respect.

As they walked on, Lu Yu and Xia Bing reached the front of a snack street, and the aroma of the street’s snacks wafted, stirring the ravenous cravings within Lu Yu.

After five years on the island, Lu Yu hadn’t even had proper food, let alone snacks. Suddenly smelling these snack aromas awakened those cravings within him.

”How about we get some stinky tofu?” Lu Yu said with a smile, looking at Xia Bing, his words full of cheerful intent.

”Sure.”

Upon hearing Lu Yu, Xia Bing responded, as a girl equally attracted by snacks, nodding in agreement.

Due to the location on the pedestrian street, the stinky tofu stall’s business was exceptionally good, with a long queue already formed ahead. Seeing this, Lu Yu and Xia Bing smiled lightly and started waiting quietly.

But at this moment, Xia Bing’s gaze was involuntarily drawn to a woman not far away.

This was a local woman in her forties, very plump, with thick lips, holding an LV bag, looking quite affluent.

Unbeknownst to her, a young man in a black T-shirt slipped one hand like an eel into her bag. With some slight movements, he silently extracted a wallet from it, executing the action with ease and without a sound.

And the woman had no inkling and continued waiting in line, showcasing the thief’s skilled techniques, clearly a seasoned offender!

Amongst the queue, people were either playing on their phones or chatting and bantering, completely unaware of the thief’s actions.

Upon seeing this, Xia Bing spontaneously pointed at the man and shouted, ”There’s a thief!”

As soon as she shouted, everyone’s eyes instantly followed the direction Xia Bing indicated, and the thief holding the woman’s wallet froze in place.

Caught in action at the critical moment of a successful theft, the man was instantly furious, coldly glaring at Xia Bing. He pulled out a knife and said, ”What?! What?! You think you’re smart, don’t you? If you’ve got nothing better to do, why don’t you come and keep me company instead of minding other people’s business?”

Upon hearing the pickpocket, Xia Bing’s beautiful eyes flashed with surprise. She hadn’t expected the thief, upon being exposed, to not only persist but also taunt her, catching her slightly off guard.

Some people nearby wanted to help Xia Bing, but at that moment, a few men emerged from the crowd, saying, ”Behave! Not everyone can be a hero. Be sensible and buy your stinky tofu quietly, or else don’t blame us for being ruthless!”

Hearing these words, the people who initially wanted to help displayed a trace of fear in their eyes and quickly withdrew without making any more noise.

Watching this scene, the pickpocket’s lips curled up smugly; his experience told him people nowadays are incredibly indifferent. Unless it’s about their personal affairs, they simply don’t care, let alone risking their lives for a stranger against an armed thief.

”Hey, little girl, you’re quite pretty. Doing this, are you lonely? Want big brother’s help?” He said, with a sleazy expression in his voice as he looked at Xia Bing’s pretty face.

”You’re stealing in broad daylight and so arrogant!” Xia Bing said to the thief in front of her, although her voice wasn’t small, her tone inevitably showed some weakness.

”Yes, I’m arrogant! So what?” laughed the thief coldly. ”I’ve been here for ages, and it’s the first time I’ve met someone as fearless as you. This pedestrian street is my money-making street, so wise up and clear off quickly, otherwise I’ll be rude to you!”

With the knife in hand, the thief gestured threateningly at Xia Bing.

”A thief is so brazen; what audacity! I’m going to call the police right now!” Xia Bing said.

Lu Yu, watching the scene unfold, felt a slight stirring in his heart. He hadn’t expected the seemingly timid Xia Bing on the subway to dare confront a thief caught in the act.

”I’m a thief?” The man’s face showed a cold look. ”What did I steal? Do you have evidence? Did anyone here see it?”

As soon as he spoke, the thief gestured with his knife at the surrounding people and said, ”Did anyone see anything?”

Upon hearing this, the people around quickly turned away, no longer watching, afraid to get involved.
