Urban Supreme Evil Young Master

Taking the elevator to the front of Leng Qingqiu’s office, Lu Yu encountered Xia Bing in uniform coming his way. Xia Bing, upon seeing Lu Yu, was exceptionally cheerful and said, ”Lu Yu, are you okay? Yesterday’s incident scared me to death. I went to the police station to ask about you, but they said you had already left...”

Xia Bing’s face turned red as she spoke to Lu Yu, looking a bit embarrassed.

Since they met, Lu Yu had helped her a lot. Seeing Lu Yu suddenly kidnapped yesterday, her heart was extremely anxious. After going back, she made several calls to the police station, and only when she heard from the police that Lu Yu had returned home did she slightly relax. Now seeing Lu Yu, Xia Bing was incredibly happy.

Seeing Xia Bing’s blushing face, Lu Yu felt a warmth in his heart. He smiled slightly and said, ”Well, I’m fine, right? I’ve even become the company’s security manager. You can come find me to hang out when you have time.”

”Alright,” Xia Bing nodded upon hearing Lu Yu’s words and said, ”By the way, the CEO is looking for you, you should go quickly, or she’ll get mad.”

”Okay, I got it, you go ahead with your work,”

Lu Yu winked at Xia Bing and said with a smile. For a gentle girl like Xia Bing, she was indeed very appealing to him.

Seeing Lu Yu wink, Xia Bing nodded and smiled gently at Lu Yu before returning to her office.

Watching Xia Bing leave, Lu Yu smiled slightly, then stepped directly into Leng Qingqiu’s office.

Leng Qingqiu was standing in front of the office’s floor-to-ceiling window, gazing out at the endless stream of vehicles as if in deep thought. Her tall figure was clad in a white Bohemian dress, her exquisite silhouette exceptionally striking.

”Hey, what do you need me for, wifey?”

Lu Yu walked into Leng Qingqiu’s office, casually slumped onto the leather sofa, and spoke with an informal tone.

”How many times have I told you, we’re engaged only in name, not out of any intention to marry. Stop calling me ’wifey’!” Leng Qingqiu said, looking at Lu Yu.

”Okay, wifey,”

Lu Yu responded absentmindedly, his eyes scanning over Leng Qing.

Upon hearing Lu Yu’s response, Leng Qingqiu couldn’t help but feel a surge of exasperation. She took a deep breath to calm herself and said, ”I heard you were kidnapped yesterday? Are you alright?”

”I’m fine, it was just some petty thieves, a small scene really,”

Lu Yu appeared quite indifferent, as if nothing had happened yesterday.

Hearing Lu Yu’s words, Leng Qingqiu was slightly stunned. Although Lu Yu’s words seemed flippant, his manner was marked with an unnoticeable calmness. If she hadn’t known him for the past five years, she would have definitely thought this was how Lu Yu naturally was.

Thinking of this, Leng Qingqiu shook her head, then placed a brand new iPhone 7 in front of Lu Yu, saying, ”This phone is for you. Xia Bing was scared enough yesterday, and without your number, there was no way to confirm your safety. Now you have a phone, which makes it easier for us to contact you.”

”It’s already the seventh generation of these things?”

Lu Yu picked up the jet-black iPhone 7, full of amazement, and began to fiddle with it skillfully.

Five years had changed everything so fast. He remembered when the iPhone 4 came out, he bought six or seven of them at once to play around with. Unexpectedly, five years later, the brand’s phones had already evolved to the seventh generation!

Watching Lu Yu deftly handle the iPhone 7, Leng Qingqiu raised an eyebrow and said, ”A lot has indeed changed over these five years. You spent five years on a deserted island, so you might feel a slight unease adjusting, but I believe everything will get better.”

”Also, I’m aware of what you did in the lobby just now,” Leng Qingqiu added, ”Lu Yu, I understand that life on a deserted island might have been extremely harsh, but don’t you think your recent actions were a bit barbaric?”

Upon hearing this, Lu Yu felt helpless. Damn, earlier, he was somewhat touched by what Leng Qing had said, only to realize it was all a setup to criticize him.

”No, wifey, that was asserting dominance. You know how parachuting a new leader into a position can cause a lot of issues, and if I don’t make a powerful impression, it will be hard to manage them later,” Lu Yu explained calmly.

Hearing Lu Yu’s explanation, Leng Qingqiu felt a bit helpless. She was informed about the incident in the lobby just now—Lu Yu knocked someone out with a kick and slapped Wu Song so hard he could barely stand, which she saw as extremely uncivilized.

Leng Qingqiu was once a top student of business at Capital University and later went abroad for further studies, making her quite an accomplished individual. Her mannerisms were always polite, and hence, she wasn’t fond of physically confrontational methods.

”Lu Yu, you must realize that this is not a deserted island; we’re in a civilized city now. Violence is not the best way to solve problems,” Leng Qingqiu advised.

”Alright, wifey, enough said,”

Lu Yu shook his head at Leng Qingqiu’s words, and remarked, ”Although this isn’t a deserted island, to me, it’s no different, and even more brutal.”

Lu Yu explained with an unflappable tone.

If everyone thought like Leng Qingqiu, his parents wouldn’t have mysteriously died five years ago, and the Lu Family wouldn’t have fallen apart.

This place may not be a deserted island, but it resembles one in every way, with the law of the jungle fully realized here!

”Moreover, while violence may not be the best solution, it is the most straightforward and effective method,” Lu Yu said as he stood up and flashed the phone in front of Leng Qingqiu, ”By the way, thanks for the phone, I’ll keep it.”

With that, Lu Yu put the iPhone 7 into his pocket, smiled at Leng Qingqiu, and left the office directly.

Watching Lu Yu leave, Leng Qingqiu was momentarily dazed. She found that understanding Lu Yu was becoming increasingly difficult.
