NTR: Barbarian Harem Conquest

”He’s been injecting demon essence into himself. Measured doses. For power.”

Marisa’s eyes stayed on his face.

”Not the same crude applications he uses on the captives. Refined. Controlled enough that the corruption strengthens densification and recovery instead of twisting him into one of the forest variants. It is why the gap you felt in the underground was larger than it should have been even for his age and size. He has been feeding on the same residue he claims to be studying.”

Kane faced her fully.

Steam continued to rise from his skin in the cold air.

”How long?”

”Years. The visions never showed the method clearly, only the result. A body that doesn’t tire the way ordinary beast flesh tires. Wounds that close faster than they should. The same stubborn refusal to fall that you saw when the Guardian’s fragment withdrew. He has been turning himself into the prototype of the race he claims to be building in the cages.”

Kane wiped the back of one wrist across his brow, smearing sweat and a thin trace of blood from a reopened knuckle.

”That changes the private opening.”

”It changes the risk calculation,” Marisa corrected. ”It does not change the necessity. If anything, it shortens the window. Every dose he takes makes the version you will eventually face harder. The refined essence is not infinite; the supply he has refined is limited. But he will use what he has if he believes the outsider who already wounded the forest’s power is moving against him.”

Kane looked past her toward the dark bulk of the palace.

”I still need to finish the lock on the banners. If I cut him down before the military commitments are staged and the deeper packs have publicly accepted the family condition through Kessa, we inherit an empire already splitting. I also need to know how much of that essence is already in him when the moment comes.”

Marisa stepped closer.

The torchlight caught the clean line of her throat and the full curve of her breasts under the wrap.

”Then we accelerate without abandoning the mask. The private audience is still the cleanest blade. You sit through one more session if required. You let him believe the discovery changed nothing. And when he gives you the room, tonight, tomorrow, the first time he is alone with you and confident the terms have bought your compliance, you end it before he can reach for another dose or call the handlers. I will be ready to move the succession the same hour.”

Kane studied her face in the flickering light.

The political mask was thinner out here in the cold, with no audience but the two of them and the cracked training post.

”You’re certain the refined essence doesn’t give him something the Measures didn’t already show me how to cut.”

”I am certain that waiting until he has taken the last of his prepared supply is how the endings where you lose begin.”

Marisa’s voice stayed level, but there was an edge under it now.

”You asked me if I was lying to get the throne. I told you the visions. I am telling you now the part the visions never rendered clearly: he is not only experimenting on captives. He is experimenting on the throne itself. Every day you give him is another measured injection and another fraction of advantage.”

Kane exhaled, a long plume of steam in the cold air.

The ache in his body from the Guardian’s power and the earlier training sat deep, but the system’s recovery had him functional.

More than functional. The decision he had made in the underground chamber had not changed. Only the urgency had sharpened.

He reached out, caught Marisa by the waist, and pulled her in against his bare, sweat-slick chest.

She came without resistance.

The night air and the heat still pouring off his skin met between them.

Kane’s hands dropped lower, gripped the backs of her thighs, and lifted her cleanly off the ground.

Marisa’s legs wrapped around his waist on instinct.

The wrap rode up.

He freed himself with one hand, dragged the head of his cock through the already slick folds of her cunt, and pushed into her in one hard, continuous thrust while she was still settling her weight.

Marisa’s breath left her in a sharp, bitten-off sound against his neck.

Kane turned and put her back to the nearest heavy post, the same one he had cracked earlier, and began fucking her with short, powerful strokes that drove her higher against the wood.

The wet sound of it carried in the quiet training ground.

Marisa locked her arms around his neck, forehead pressed to his, amber eyes open and dark as he took her with the same focused intensity he had just been pouring into the forms.

”After... he’s cold,” Kane said against her mouth, voice rough, hips never slowing.

”The essence work ends. The cages end. The empire points out. And you take what you bargained for.”

Marisa’s answer was a low, broken moan as he thrust especially deep. Her cunt clenched around him in rising waves.

She came first, hard and shaking, biting the sound into his shoulder to keep it from carrying across the open ground.

Kane followed a handful of strokes later, burying himself to the hilt and spilling into her with a rough, low growl while the night air turned their joined heat to steam around them.

He held her there against the post for several breaths, still buried, both of them breathing hard.

When he finally lowered her to her feet, the wrap fell back into place with practiced motion.

Seed leaked down the inside of one of her thighs.

Marisa steadied herself with one hand on his bare chest, felt the fresh scars under her palm, and looked up at him.

”No further delay.”

Kane nodded once, already reaching for the shirt he had discarded earlier.

Steam from hard training and harder release still rose from his skin into the cold Berakamon night.

Inside the palace, Grathak continued whatever measured doses he had left.

Outside it, the man who intended to end him stood under the torches with the emperor’s sister and the clock on both their bargains running shorter than either of them had admitted at the start of the evening.
