Super Gene Hunting Ground

The news of the complete annihilation of the Mercenary Army quickly reached Karachi City, shaking the entire city!

During the conquest of Purple Origin Star by the Witch Star people, it was rare for a mercenary army to be encircled and annihilated by demon beasts.

Those who had invested in mining in the Primitive Forest of Wildman Valley were suddenly in despair.

Originally pinning their hopes on the mercenary army, now that the mercenaries were eliminated, their hopes of reclaiming the mines were also shattered.

Kai Qi and three other mine owners united and approached the Jino City Lord again, hoping to get some help.

”Ah, gentlemen, it’s not that I don’t want to help you, but as you all have seen, Tang Qian’s five hundred mercenaries were completely wiped out. Everyone is aware of the strength of mercenaries, no less than the regular army of Karachi City,

Recently, War God suddenly arrived at Purple Origin Star, leading us in the battle against Pegasus Empire, not only did we lose part of our army, moreover, some guards were also dispatched to the new cities for defense,

The military strength of Karachi City has been reduced to its limit. If we send more troops to fight demon beasts and wildmen, who will safeguard Karachi City?

Demon beasts attack Karachi City daily from outside, once the city falls, your homes in Karachi City will be destroyed. Would you really trade your homes in Karachi City for a few mines?”

Everyone fell silent.

”Gentlemen, this is a lesson. I have warned you before, the profits and losses, life and death of investing in mining in the Primitive Forest are all your own responsibilities. It’s not too late to stop now, don’t get deeper into this!”

Seeing the resolute attitude of the Jino City Lord, Kai Qi and the others sighed and left the City Lord Mansion.

Three days later, Yang Xiao piloted a spaceship and arrived at Karachi City with Qin Lu.

As per the old rule, Yang Xiao first visited Gustone.

Just as they entered the Genetic Store, Gu Si saw Yang Xiao and immediately got up to meet him.

”Ah, Young Master Yang is here, please come in!”

Gu Si now deeply admired Yang Xiao from the bottom of his heart.

Yang Xiao smiled,

”Thank you, Lord Gu Si, is Lord Gustone available?”

”Yes, he’s upstairs. Let me go notify him first, please have a seat.”

Gu Si called a servant to pour tea for Yang Xiao and hurried upstairs to find Gustone and report.

After a short while, Gu Si came downstairs,

”Young Master Yang, Lord Gustone invites you upstairs.”

Yang Xiao thanked him and went upstairs.

Gu Si stayed downstairs to chat with Qin Lu over tea.

Given Qin Lu’s identity, he dared not belittle him, after all, he was mining together with Yang Xiao and owned a 20% share of the entire Primitive Forest, destined to be a wealthy man!

Yang Xiao walked upstairs and pushed the door to enter.

”Hehe, Young Master Yang has arrived, please take a seat. Young Master Yang will soon become one of the top tycoons on Purple Origin Star, let me congratulate you in advance!”

”Lord Gustone, you are teasing me.”

”Teasing? How could I dare, you now own a thousand mines, who else on Purple Origin Star has wealth like yours? Even Boss Huang only has two hundred mines.”

Yang Xiao slightly smiled and said:

”I am willing to gift a hundred mines to Lord Gustone, I wonder if you would accept?”

Gustone was startled and laughed:

”Haha, thank you for your kind intentions, Young Master Yang,

We, the people of the Genetic Store, cannot participate in others’ shares, otherwise, we would violate our neutrality and be punished.”

”Lord Gustone, heaven knows, earth knows, you know and I know, why must you take it so seriously?”

”Young Master Yang, the rules of the Genetic Store are strict, and besides, there are no walls in this world without leaks, I appreciate your kind intentions.”

Yang Xiao saw Gustone insist on refusing and did not press further.

After some idle chat, the conversation naturally shifted back to the mines.

”Master Yang has eliminated the mercenary army and now fully controls all the mines in Wildman Valley. I wonder what his next plans are.”

”I came to seek advice from Mister Gustone,

With over a hundred mines, I don’t have enough manpower to develop them all, so I’m thinking about opening them up to external investors. Do you think this is feasible?”

”External investment?”

Gustone was taken aback.

”Exactly, the Primitive Forest belongs to the wildmen, and so do those mines. I can represent the wildmen to seek external investors. My model is,

I take fifty percent, private mine owners take thirty percent, and the Jino City Lord representing the Great Dragon Empire takes twenty percent. Do you think this is feasible?”

Listening to this, Gustone chuckled and said:

”Master Yang, your method is good indeed. It resolves the miner issue, and it allows for rapid, large-scale development of the mines, thus acquiring a vast amount of resources. Brilliant, truly brilliant.”

Yang Xiao and Gustone talked for a while, played two games of Go, and Gustone invited Yang Xiao and Qin Lu to lunch at noon.

Yang Xiao bade farewell to Gustone, and with Qin Lu, they went to the Jino City Lord Mansion.

Upon seeing Yang Xiao and Qin Lu, Jino said coldly:

”Master Yang, you used the wildmen to ambush Tang Qian’s mercenaries. Isn’t that a bit too ruthless?”

Yang Xiao immediately responded:

”Lord City Lord misunderstood, the ones who killed Tang Qian weren’t the wildmen or us, but someone else.”

”Oh? Besides the wildmen king, who else has the strength to wipe out five hundred mercenaries?”

Jino was skeptical.

”Well, you might not believe it when I say this, and even I find it hard to believe, but it was the demon beasts in the forest that killed Tang Qian’s mercenaries.”

”Demon beasts?”

Jino was startled.

He knew the demon beasts on Purple Origin Star were formidable, but since demon beasts act individually without organization, how could dozens, even hundreds of them, come together to annihilate Tang Qian’s mercenaries?

”Lord Jino, we are also puzzled. Last time, about ten thousand demon beasts formed a rampaging tide and swept through all the mining bases,

Tang Qian took his mercenaries to hunt the beasts, probably provoking them, and they united to wipe out the mercenaries,

It’s really tragic. I wanted to save them, but with tens of thousands of demon beasts swarming everywhere, we were all scared!”

Yang Xiao’s recount was nonchalant, like telling a mythical story, and yet Jino was immensely shocked upon hearing it.

If what Yang Xiao said was true, then the mastermind and organizer could only be the wildmen king (as he couldn’t suspect Yang Xiao for now, given his low Evolution Level and insufficient prestige in Wildman Valley).

Could it be that the wildmen king now possesses the ability to control the demon beasts in the forest?

If so, that would be truly terrifying. Tens of thousands of demon beasts coming together to form a powerful army could pose a threat even to Karachi City.

Jino could only silently rejoice that he hadn’t rashly dispatched his army, otherwise, it would have been his troops that were annihilated.

He had indeed been tempted to exterminate the wildmen and control the Primitive Forest.

Now thinking about it, he felt a chill.

Jino couldn’t help but recall how twenty years ago, he nearly got killed by the wildmen king, and his heart grew even more respectful.

”Alas! That was the fate of Tang Qian and his men, not something we could change.

By the way, Master Yang, is there something you needed today?”

”Of course, I have a favor to ask from Lord Jino,”

”Please speak,”

”We’re looking to expand production at our mines, to invite external investors for people who are willing to invest in mining in the Primitive Forest,

Of course, the terms are simple: all Crystal Stone income, two-tenths goes to the Great Dragon Empire, three-tenths to the private mine owners, and I, representing Wildman Valley, take half.”
