Super Gene Hunting Ground

Tens of thousands of Demon Beasts set out from the jungle, quietly sneaking towards the periphery of the Primitive Forest.

Emperor Level and above Demon Beasts and King Level and above Monsters jumped directly above the forest, flying in mid-air.

Yang Xiao and the Wildman King, leading a thousand Wildmen, were also rapidly flying, gradually approaching Tang Qian’s Mercenary Army camp.

At this moment, the Mercenary Army camp was burning ten campfires.

Above the campfires, delicious wild beast meat was being roasted, its fragrance drifting through the air, mouthwateringly enticing.

Dozens of mercenaries were patrolling in the air and on the ground.

Tang Qian was drinking and eating meat with several squad leaders, all of them immersed in the excitement of reigning over the mountain. In their dreams, they would soon become masters of this mining area, making huge profits and becoming wealthy overnight.

”Come on, Boss, drink up!”

”Brothers, let’s all toast to the boss, follow him closely, onwards to a new life, cheers!”

Hundreds of people shouted loudly, called out excitedly, drinking alcohol from large bowls and devouring meat, dreaming of a good life.

”We’ll build a city later in Wildman Valley, and then, bring over a few hundred beauties from Witch Star; brothers can have fun every day, haha!”

”We can become a city like Karachi City, establishing our own little kingdom!”

”No need to work for those private mine owners ever again!”

...

The night on Purple Origin Star was dimly lit by stars, with a cool breeze blowing.

Tang Qian felt an urgent need to urinate, left the campfire, turned around and walked ten meters away to relieve himself, suddenly feeling a strange sensation inside his heart; he looked up at the night sky, sensing a faint killing aura coming from the far distance in the night sky.

Tang Qian shuddered, leaping into the air, the distant killing aura growing increasingly stronger.

”Not good, something’s up.”

Tang Qian flipped and jumped into the valley, shouting loudly:

”Brothers, be on guard, something’s up!”

Everyone was enjoying their drinks and meat, feeling great, when Tang Qian shouted like that, they were startled.

”Boss, what’s up?”

”Not sure, I felt a killing aura in the air!”

”Killing aura?”

”Boss, did you drink too much? What killing aura? It’s probably the smell of alcohol, right?”

”Haha...”

”Stop kidding around, be serious!”

”It can’t be, in the middle of the night, there aren’t any large Demon Beasts in the surrounding forest, how could there be a killing aura?”

”Let’s have a few people come up with me to check.”

One of the squad leaders leaped into mid-air in a flash.

At that instant, a swarm of clouds suddenly covered the entire valley from above, blocking even the slightest starlight from entering the valley.

It was thousands of Emperor Level and King Level Monsters that had suddenly enveloped the area, obstructing the starlight.

”Ah!”

”Ah!”

”Ah!”

...

Several screams rang out, as the few mercenaries who had just flown up into the air were instantly killed by powerful Demon Beasts.

At the same time, on the ground, tens of thousands of various wild beasts surged into the valley like a tide, launching an attack on the mercenaries in the valley.

The darkness posed no hindrance to these Monsters, as their eyes could adapt to the night, allowing them to clearly see their opponents in the dark.

Conversely, for the Mercenary Army, this was a significant disadvantage; in the darkness, they didn’t even know what was attacking them.

Those gigantic centipedes, scorpions, poisonous insects, mosquitos, pythons, and poison snakes, hundreds upon thousands of creatures were mixed in the attacking monster tide, making it impossible for the mercenary army to defend effectively.

What was even more terrifying, thousands of Emperor Level and King Level monsters descended from midair, covering the sky with various types of attacking energy, overwhelming like thunder, striking ferociously downward.

”Ah, ah, ah.....”

Screams erupted everywhere!

”Form a circle, back-to-back, activate the Defense Light Screen; don’t panic!”

Tang Qian roared loudly, his Long Sword swinging continually, killing several Demon Beasts attacking him.

The mercenaries were experienced; after a brief moment of chaos, they began fighting back vigorously. This was a strong professional army, after all, each member at Emperor Level or above in realm, armed with Magic Killing Weapons and high defense equipment, their combat power was formidable.

After over a hundred mercenaries died, the entire mercenary group formed a circle, temporarily stabilizing their formation.

Their Magic Killing Long Swords of Second Rank continuously swung, pushing the surrounding Demon Beasts back a few meters away.

”Boss, what should we do? There are too many Demon Beasts, and it’s nighttime, we’re not their match, we can only hold on for an hour; after an hour, we might be completely annihilated.”

”Everyone, don’t panic. Maintain the formation. If someone dies, the person beside them must immediately fill the gap; shrink the circle, definitely do not let the Demon Beasts break in. We’re preparing for a breakout.”

”How do we breakout?”

”As long as we break out from the encirclement of Demon Beasts, we can escape to the skies. One hundred and twenty kilometers away from here, there’s a mining base, if we can get there, we will be saved.”

Tang Qian commanded the mercenaries, defending arduously while charging toward the outer rim of the valley.

The Demon Beasts, lacking command, slowly retreated in the face of the attacks of the Magic Killing Long Swords.

Of course, during this process, several mercenaries continued to fall.

Around half an hour later, another fifty to sixty mercenaries of Tang Qian’s group had fallen.

Tang Qian and his men felt chill creeping into their hearts; mountains of Demon Beasts surrounded them like a tide, making the breakout incredibly challenging.

On a distant hillside, Yang Xiao and the leader of the Wildmen, along with a thousand wildmen, were watching the battle in the valley.

”Yang Xiao, what do you plan to do?”

Qing Mu asked.

”Let the Demon Beasts and mercenaries fight each other for a while. It’s nighttime, if we rashly join in, it could become difficult to discern friend from foe, and we might inflict casualties on each other. Moreover, with so many Demon Beasts surrounding Tang Qian, his chances of breaking out are slim,

even if he breaks out, he still has to get past us. Let’s monitor from the periphery for now!”

...

Inside the valley, the battle was extremely brutal.

Tang Qian’s mercenaries were indeed very strong, with resilient fighting will, proper use of tactics, and excellent equipment. Even surrounded by a tide of Demon Beasts, they still managed to carve a blood path.

Tang Qian led his subordinates, struggling to break out from the valley. Naturally, as the mercenaries moved, the encirclement of Demon Beasts closely followed.

Roars, shouts, sounds of attacks, explosions, various noises mixed together, shaking the valley.

Tang Qian and his men had killed hundreds of various monsters, and only over two hundred mercenaries were left.

The fear of death began to envelop everyone.

”Boss, we can’t break out!”

”We’re really going to die here this time!”

”Brothers, fight, kill one to count one!”

”How did these Demon Beasts find us?”

”Don’t think too much, just focus on killing, even if only one of us escapes, it’s worth it!”

Tang Qian, wielding a Second Rank Magic Killing Long Sword in his hand, continuously killed several attacking Demon Beasts.

On the Demon Beasts’ side, now apart from a few hundred Emperor Level Demon Beasts that could still come forward to attack, the rest of the King Level monsters couldn’t get close, and ordinary Mutated Creatures that got about 2 meters outside Tang Qian’s group were killed by the intense Killing Aura.

Tang Qian’s mercenaries, like a fortress, defended against attacks coming from all sides and the sky.

The entire valley ran rivers of blood, Yang Xiao and the others, standing thousands of meters away, could also smell the thick scent of blood in the air.
