Super Gene Hunting Ground

The issue with the Genetic Store was resolved, and so was the issue with the miners; all that was left was ore exploration.

Now the entire base had over fifty ore veins exposed on the surface, which everyone could start mining; this was not a big issue for the time being.

In the end, Yang Xiao decided that the cost for exploration could not be saved. He estimated that there are still dozens of ore veins hidden beneath this plain, and it would be a huge waste not to mine them.

Yang Xiao arranged for Qin Lu to call the Prospecting Team.

The base was running out of houses, so Ah Bao and Qing Mu started to build temporary houses on a large scale with some of the newly arrived Wildmen, trying to surround the Genetic Store within a hundred meters of the orange light screen.

In order to save space, Yang Xiao required them to build two-story wooden houses.

New tribes continued to move into Wildman Valley,

which was now a busy mess.

The Wild King himself took action, Chi Lin and Du Hai, along with Feng Ming who was an expert in construction, used modern city planning blueprints to divide Wildman Valley into residential, leisure and entertainment, marketplace, Cultivation Technique practice areas, and even established a special kindergarten.

Ah Rui, accompanied by Leia, Ming Yue, and a few other girls, tripled the size of the general store.

Now Leia and Ming Yue were taking spaceships to Karachi City to purchase a large variety of daily necessities, clothing, toys, and low-level weapons and so on.

The Wildmen quickly took a liking to the modern human lifestyle and various living utensils, but unfortunately, Wildman Valley had no electricity to use modern household appliances.

From Qin Lu, Yang Xiao learned that Karachi City and Witch Star both used nuclear power for electricity, including spaceships, which were also powered by nuclear energy.

Witch Star’s black technology could shrink nuclear power devices down to the size of a thermos, making them usable everywhere like Earth’s batteries.

The newly built houses in Wildman Valley temporarily could not meet the needs of the newly moved-in population. Many Wildman tribes, in order to get a head start on employment opportunities and dividends, temporarily lived in the plaza.

The Wild King stepped in, with the assistance of Chi Lin, Du Hai, and Feng Ming, personally directed the construction efforts of over a thousand people.

The construction of the entire valley was in full swing!

In the past two months, after deducting the miners’ wages, Yang Xiao earned 200 million Crystal Coins in revenue.

Yang Xiao temporarily stored it in his Black Gold Card and planned to use it later to improve his Genetic Evolution.

The base was still in a period of heavy investment; Yang Xiao also decided to explore other mining sites and build new bases, so once the mineral veins at this site were exhausted, they could move to a new base.

After the detection team arrived, eighteen more ore veins were found underground, with a burial depth of around forty meters.

Together with the previously discovered sixty plus ore veins, nearly eighty ore veins were identified in this plain spanning tens of square kilometers.

Such a dense concentration of ore veins surprised the captain of the exploration team, Guo Lang.

”Boss Yang, this mining base of yours is truly a miracle. In over ten years of prospecting, this is the first time I’ve seen such a dense ore vein belt. You’re going to strike it rich. I estimate that in another three years, you could surpass Boss Huang as the wealthiest private mine owner on Purple Origin Star.”

Yang Xiao said with a smile:

”Captain Guo, you flatter me. I’m just working for everyone, making a little money. How could I become a tycoon... Captain Guo, do you think we could pay the exploration fee later? I’ve just started a new base and the investment is substantial. It’s a bit hard to make ends meet at the moment.”

Guo Lang responded with a chuckle:

”No problem. You have such a big mining site now; you’ll be able to put the money together in a month or two. I trust you won’t be in debt for long, heh.”

”Thank you, Captain Guo. Besides this plain, I’m also looking to explore other areas. It’s just that your fees are quite steep. Is there any possibility of a discount?”

Yang Xiao calculated that if he were to survey the entire Wilderness Protection Zone one day, the fee for detection would be an unimaginably astronomical figure.

Guo Lang laughed and said:

”Boss Yang, firstly, I’m not in charge, and secondly, we’ve never had a precedent for discounts. However, your situation is indeed somewhat special, and you might want to talk to our boss about it.”

Guo Lang had a good impression of Yang Xiao from their previous dealings, and seeing Yang Xiao’s potential to become a wealthy tycoon, Guo Lang was keen on currying favor.

On Witch Star, possessing resources equates to having the potential to become a superpower, and such people must not be offended.

Boss Huang, currently the wealthiest private mine owner on Purple Source, his family has seen a few individuals reaching the Empire Middle Level Realm or higher, all thanks to the abundant resources from the mine.

Many people spend decades evolving to the Emperor Level, and even those with good talent who make breakthroughs in the practice of Genetic Transformation Technique still need astonishing resources to improve their Evolution Levels.

Thus, over ninety percent of Emperor Level Evolvers are stuck due to a lack of resources.

Yang Xiao nodded,

”Alright, when I’m free I’ll go to Karachi City to visit your boss.”

”Mr. Yang, there’s something I need to remind you.”

”Please speak, Captain Guo.”

”Your base has revealed so many veins, it might attract envious eyes.”

”What do you mean?”

Guo Lang smiled,

”It’s simple. This wilderness area belongs to no one. You can prospect here, and so can others. I estimate it won’t be long before a large number of people will come to explore these veins.”

Yang Xiao glanced at Qin Lu beside him.

Qin Lu nodded.

Yang Xiao paused, then laughed,

”Thanks for the heads up, Captain Guo. Really, such a huge place, how could I possibly exploit it all by myself? The more the merrier, haha!”

Hearing this, Guo Lang’s expression subtly changed, and then he chuckled along.

After Guo Lang left, Qin Lu found Yang Xiao,

”Brother Yang, aren’t you afraid of inviting trouble by talking like that just now?”

”Trouble?”

”Yeah. We should keep a low profile. If people from outside find out that we’ve discovered a large number of veins here, many will rush over in frenzy.”

”Do you think we can keep it hidden?”

Qin Lu was taken aback, looking at Yang Xiao.

Yang Xiao sighed and said,

”Even if Guo Lang’s prospecting team doesn’t spread the word, others will eventually find out.

We need to hand over a huge amount of crystal stones to the Jino City Lord every month in exchange for Crystal Coins. Without converting them into Crystal Coins, these crystal stones are just a pile of rocks.

So many crystal stones, who can we hide it from? I guess even the Jino City Lord himself would be green with envy and shocked.”

”Then do you have any ideas?”

”Not at the moment.”

Several days later, two spaceships appeared in the sky above Yang Xiao’s base.

The two spaceships circled above Yang Xiao’s mining field several times, then slowly landed.

A team of people debarked from the spaceship, led by a middle-aged man.

Upon seeing Qin Lu, the man laughed heartily and said,

”Ah, young master Qin, I’ve heard that you’ve opened a mine here and made quite a bit of money. Seeing it today, it seems to be true, impressive indeed!”

Qin Lu replied with an awkward smile,

”Ah, it turns out to be Boss Xiao. What brings you here?”

”Now, the whole of Karachi City is buzzing with the rumors that vast crystal stone veins were discovered in the wilderness of the Primitive Forest. It’s not just me, soon there will be even more people coming to prospect.”

Qin Lu was stunned and said,

”Boss Xiao, this is the Primitive Forest Protection Zone for the wilderness, aren’t you concerned about mining here?”

”What’s there to worry about? This area is unregulated, even the Jino City Lord has no jurisdiction here. If you can mine, why can’t we?”
