Super Gene Hunting Ground

Before formally seeking help from the Genetic Store, Yang Xiao decided to understand the status of the Genetic Store on Witch Star.

Previously on Earth, there had been no way to learn about the Genetic Store. Now, he could learn through Qin Lu.

”Qin Lu, tell me in detail about the Genetic Store.”

Qin Lu paused, then spoke:

”The Genetic Store is a very mysterious organization. On Witch Star, it transcends national boundaries. It can be said that wherever there are people on Witch Star, there is a Genetic Store. The Genetic Store does more than just sell merchandise,

In the field of Genetic Evolution on Witch Star, there are four major guilds that everyone has to deal with: the Artifact Refiner’s Union, the Genetic Potion Master Guild, the Alchemy Master Guild, and the Blacksmith Shop Union,

Artifact Refiners create Magic Equipment, ornaments, and some special magic devices, such as Space Rings,

The Genetic Potion Master Guild is specifically responsible for refining Genetic Potions, enhancing Genetic Evolution,

The Alchemy Master Guild handles the making of Small Blood Pills, Medium Blood Pills, and Big Blood Pills, as well as Detoxification Pills, etc.,

The Blacksmith Shop mainly handles the forging of Weapons,

These four major guilds have a complex and close relationship with the Genetic Store, and they too are powerful organizations that transcend national boundaries. However, over sixty percent of their goods need to be sold through the Genetic Store,

Of course, when the Genetic Store enters the territory of any Empire, it also follows the rules of each Empire. They always adhere to a core principle of not interfering in the internal affairs of the Empires, and not participating in disputes between them,

At times, they also help the Empires with some simple matters, assisting with small favors,

No Empire dares to offend the Genetic Store.”

”Does the Genetic Store have an old man named Gu Bo?”

”It is said that the founder of the Genetic Store was someone with the surname Gu, and the Gu family has always controlled the Genetic Store, with many store owners being members of the Gu family. As for this Gu Bo you mentioned, I am an outsider, naturally I don’t know.”

”What do you think if we want to introduce the Genetic Store into Wildman Valley?”

”Of course, there’s an issue. When the Genetic Store entered Purple Origin Star, they had agreements with the Great Dragon Empire, Snow Leopard Empire, and Youming Empire, which allowed them to begin Genetic Stores in any mining base of the Witch Star Empires, but they could not sell merchandise to the people of Purple Origin Star,

They worry that if the Wildmen receive help from the Genetic Store, their strength would greatly increase, causing more troubles in controlling Purple Origin Star for them,

So, the Genetic Store has been following this rule for hundreds of years, not selling merchandise to Wildmen.”

”How can we introduce the Genetic Store then?”

”We have to look for Uncle Dai; our private mining base is currently under Uncle Dai’s name. Having Uncle Dai step in to introduce the Genetic Store shouldn’t be a big problem,

As for the Wildmen needing to buy merchandise, they don’t have to appear; we can just help them purchase. Given how vast Purple Origin Star is, I guess no one will care about this issue,

Of course, this is something we can do but cannot speak of.”

Qin Lu said with a sly smile.

Yang Xiao nodded. It seems that introducing the Genetic Store into Wildman Valley directly isn’t feasible yet, only indirectly possible by first introducing it to the mining base.

Yang Xiao and Qin Lu immediately acted and took a Spaceship to David’s base.

First, they reported on the production situation of the mine.

David was very happy upon hearing that five thousand kilograms of Crystal Stones had been produced in half a month, especially as newly opened mines are tax-free for the first year.

David took out a blue Jade Token and handed it to Yang Xiao.

”What is this?”

”This is your Witch Star identity card. With this blue Jade Token, you can move freely throughout Witch Star, of course, your nationality is under the Great Dragon Empire.”

Qin Lu smiled:

”Congratulations, Brother Yang, you’ve obtained a blue stamp residence of Witch Star.”

”?”

”Hehe, all foreign immigrants who obtain a Witch Star identity card get a blue Jade Token, while we natives of Witch Star receive a red Jade Token.”

Qin Lu took out his own red Jade Token, showed it to Yang Xiao briefly, and then put it into the Space Ring.

”Of course, there’s virtually no difference in rights between the two.”

Damn it, did the earth’s blue stamp and red stamp residences learn from aliens?

Yang Xiao put away the Jade Token and said to David:

”Thank you, Station Chief Dai!”

”Ah, don’t mention it, it’s what I should do.”

”Uncle Dai, we came to you this time to discuss the possibility of introducing the Genetic Store to our mining base.”

Yang Xiao and Qin Lu explained the situation they were facing.

David was silent for a moment, then said:

”I can apply for the Genetic Store to be set up, but I don’t know whether it will be approved or not, since that area belongs to the wildlands, I’m not sure if the Genetic Store has any concerns.”

...

Three days later, David arrived at Yang Xiao’s mining site via spaceship.

”Yang Xiao, there’s an issue with the application for the Genetic Store. The Genetic Store Headquarters in Karachi City says our mining site is in the wildlands, not under the jurisdiction of the Great Dragon Empire, so they are hesitant to approve it.”

”Is that even a reason?”

”Yes, you don’t know, there are rules for the Genetic Store’s entry into Purple Origin Star, they do not sell products to the wild people or establish branches in the wild-controlled areas, they can’t just violate that.”

”No room for negotiation at all?”

”Not exactly, unless the Jino City Lord speaks up on our behalf, or,”

”Or what?”

”Or if we know someone from the Genetic Store at the Witch Star Empire headquarters who can mediate this. Such matters are rather sensitive, it’s basically toeing the line, and the key issue is that those below don’t want to take on this responsibility.”

”Can we reach out to the Jino City Lord?” Qin Lu asked.

David sighed,

”It’s no use, I tried contacting the Jino City Lord, even offering ten million Crystal Coins as a bribe, but he wouldn’t agree,

he said that if someone from higher up investigates later, he doesn’t want to take the risk,

our mining in the wildlands is a result of our own capabilities, but introducing the Genetic Store could breach the agreement, it’d be fine if no one pursues it, but if they do, his position could be at risk.”

Seeing that Yang Xiao looked somewhat disappointed, David smiled and said:

”Master Yang, just hang in there for now, let me think of another solution, I’ve already discussed with Elder Qin about relying on connections to contact someone from Witch Star, to find an official from the Genetic Store at the Witch Star headquarters who might be willing to mediate.”

Yang Xiao was silent for a moment, then said:

”Station Chief Dai, I want to try personally reaching out to the people at the Genetic Store Headquarters in Karachi City.”

”You?”

David and Qin Lu looked at Yang Xiao, not knowing what to say, in their eyes, Yang Xiao was a person who had just obtained a blue registration, what kind of influence could he have to mediate such a significant matter?

This was something even the Jino City Lord dared not intervene in, even with a bribe of ten million Crystal Coins.

”Brother Yang, don’t rush, let’s think about it more slowly.”

Qin Lu comforted.

”Master Yang, the Genetic Store and the Jino City Lord are different, I can speak a few words with the Jino City Lord, but with the Genetic Store, we basically can’t communicate, they are very aloof, even if the Jino City Lord intervenes, they might not appreciate it, I think you shouldn’t go, it would be hitting a wall.”

David directly expressed his thought.

At this moment, he felt it was necessary to let Yang Xiao cool down; reality is harsh, he could accommodate Yang Xiao, but why would the people from the Genetic Store accommodate him?

What significance does Yang Xiao hold?

Yang Xiao smiled faintly and said:

”Don’t worry, I just want to communicate personally, perhaps it might work?”

David: ”@#￥%”

Qin Lu: ”@#￥%”
