Chapter 1499: Chapter 515: Underground and Sea_2

Of course, before this, Rein still had one thing to do, which was to confirm the situation of that mysterious mermaid girl from an ancient race.

The state of the other party was very strange; there was no consciousness within her body, neither her original consciousness nor any residual consciousness from the Nether Sea Goddess’s possession. Yet, the blood within her body flowed slowly, her skin tone was delicate and vivid, lifelike.

It was as if she were merely asleep.

....

A few minutes earlier.

On the sea surface near the island.

Just as Reginald was trying every possible way to control his giant dragon partner Ted, striving to catch up with Prince Menia and Rein who had already separated and were retreating toward the island, they were blocked by Pope Egil of the Sea God Sect and a large group of high rank Evil Sorcerers.

Reluctantly, Reginald had to fly to the other side, gathering with the remaining imperial airship formation that came for courageous support.

He planned to first rely on the cooperation of the imperial airship formation to withstand a wave of attacks from the other side, then find a chance to seek an opportunity to join forces with Menia and Rein.

Of course, he also knew that, although Rein’s combat power was as astonishing as ever, Menia’s situation was extremely poor, barely able to maintain the giant dragon form, and once Menia lost combat power, the entire battle balance would be broken, leaving the two in dire straits.

So, at this moment, he was burning with anxiety!

”Imperial airship formation, cooperate with Reginald Crown, forcibly assault the island ahead!”

On the imperial flagship, in the captain’s room, the elderly major general naturally also saw this scene and immediately gave the order.

However, just as the airship formation had just turned and engaged in fierce battle with the Sea God Sect’s Flying Fish Knights and Manta Knights, suddenly, a dazzling white light pillar appeared in front of everyone’s eyes!

This light pillar appeared at the center of the nearby island, nearly piercing the sky and quickly expanding to several tens of times its diameter, followed by a powerful shockwave covering the island and blasting toward the sea surface.

Countless Sea God Sect flying knights were directly blown dozens of meters away by the airwaves, and the Empire’s only four remaining airships also swayed precariously like candles in a strong wind.

Only Reginald, man and dragon, managed to barely stabilize in midair.

”This... this kind of fire element energy fluctuation, could it be...” At this scene, Reginald’s face turned pale and he murmured.

Because he knew very well that Rein was a Metal Series Wizard, able to release such energy fluctuations in fire witchcraft must be Prince Menia. But just earlier, Menia’s condition was already near exhaustion, so where did the spiritual power to release such an attack come from?

And Pope Egil of the Sea God Sect, also well-experienced, looked at this scene and couldn’t help but feel delighted.

”That young man named Rein is not a Dawn Wizard of the fire element, able to release such powerful witchcraft could only be that woman from the Dragan Empire known as the ’Red Queen’ Menia.”

”Judging from the other party’s previous state, there’s absolutely no ability to release witchcraft to such a degree again, looks like the other party has been forced to self-destruct by my master.”

Upon hearing their Pope’s analysis, the crowd of high-ranking Evil Sorcerers behind Egil nodded, their faces full of joy.

”That would be a major victory! I heard that this Dragon Knight named Menia is the Emperor’s own aunt from the Dragan Empire, a top royal strongman; killing her is immensely significant!”

”I’ve heard too, that ’Red Queen’ Menia is a renowned Guardian of the Dragan Empire, and by our Sea God Sect killing her this time, it will elevate our sect’s prestige to another level.”

”Haha, should we then push harder to annihilate the other side here?”

...

”Not so fast, let’s first check the situation on the island over there, as for Reginald, we’ll decide later.” Pope Egil pondered for a moment and decided to first head to the island to see the situation.

This was his reasoning: firstly, if Rein were still alive, being so close to the center of the witchcraft explosion, he would surely be heavily injured, and they could conveniently help their goddess stop his escape, perhaps even get lucky and pick up a bargain.

Secondly, at present, Reginald is known as a Dawn Wizard of the Earth Element, known for defense, on top of having a Yellow Dragon with a talent for Earth Witchcraft, practically like a turtle shell, making it very difficult to kill him in a short time.

Thus, in terms of priorities, it is certainly better to choose to kill Rein first.

Hence, an eerie consensus was reached on the battlefield, whether from the Sea God Sect or the Empire’s side, everyone desperately rushed toward the island, naturally leading to even more intense combat along the way.

Soon, the scene of the island appeared before everyone’s eyes.

In an instant, almost everyone was stunned, stopping their hands and watching the enormous crater in front of them, which had transformed into a small lake, and many began to look around, seemingly searching for something.

What met their eyes was ground as if swept over by a hurricane; all vegetation had been thoroughly destroyed, and it was all radial dirt and stones, the scene was almost clear at a glance.

There was no sign of the Nether Sea Goddess Hela.

No sign of the three-headed giant dragon Rein.

Even after careful inspection, there was no sign of the Red Queen Menia.

It was as if the three had disappeared simultaneously in the explosion.

This led to many of the Sea God Sect’s high-ranking Evil Sorcerers whispering to each other.

”Could they have perished together?”

”Hard to say, it is a possibility!”

”Even though my master lost an avatar, if we managed to kill the Empire’s ’Red Queen’ Menia, it’s a slight victory.”

...

These words naturally reached Pope Egil’s ears, yet he frowned because the scene in front of him was not quite what he had anticipated, and his view differed from others in the sect.
