Chapter 1452: Chapter 498: Breaking Through the Ground

After the spatial transformation, the first thing that caught Rein’s eye was a giant mechanical creature over twenty meters tall.

Beside it were two prototype machines that had appeared before.

The giant mechanical being resembled a gigantic octopus, with eight metal tentacles as thick as barrels.

The tentacles were composed of ring-shaped metal segments, and it was one of these metal tentacles that had just sent Sword Saint Terrio flying.

”Hmm? Terrio was so careless?”

Just as Rein was puzzled by how Sword Saint Terrio could be struck by such a massive metal tentacle, he instantly realized something was amiss.

Because at the very moment his toe touched the ground as he walked out of the passage, he suddenly discovered that the gravity around him was rapidly changing.

At this point, Rein understood why Terrio, being a Sword Saint, had faltered.

”It can subtly influence the surrounding gravity? This mechanical octopus is extraordinary.”

As Rein figured this out, a metal tentacle already whipped toward him like lightning.

”Clang!”

Sparks scattered!

A gigantic dragon claw instantly blocked the path of the striking metal tentacle.

At this moment, Hernandez and Haleem also emerged from the mirrored passage, appearing behind Rein.

However, seeing the scene before them, both were momentarily stunned, especially Haleem, who was utterly speechless!

What did he see!

Sword Saint Terrio was being attacked and encircled by several metal tentacles, and the prototype machines he had controlled before were now two in number, currently pouring a dense barrage of metal projectiles toward Sword Saint Terrio.

And on Rein’s side, it was even more exaggerated!

With his body partially dragon-like, a giant dragon claw nearly as tall as a person was steadfastly blocking the tentacle strike of the massive mechanical octopus without retreating a single step.

”Is this Dragon Vein Transformation?!” Haleem’s eyes widened, and he murmured.

”Quick! Don’t just stand there, Haleem, lend a hand!”

Hernandez swiftly cast the Water Snake Vortex Shield, protecting himself and Haleem. Unlike Terrio and Rein, the two were purely wizards, so they naturally had to ensure their own defense first, seeing Haleem still standing there in a stupor, he couldn’t help but shout.

”What should I do?!” Haleem snapped back to reality, slightly panicked.

It’s understandable, as the battle before them erupted too suddenly.

Moreover, in Haleem’s previous understanding, the prototype machines were supposed to be the most brilliant crown jewel of ancient Goblin technology.

But now, it’s clear that they’re not, as not only are there two prototype machines present, they aren’t even in the central position.

Clearly, they’re positioned to guard the sides of this mechanical octopus, greatly impacting Haleem’s understanding.

Additionally, as the head of the Federation Mechanical Research Institute, combat wasn’t his strength, but research was.

If Rein and his companions weren’t present, and he and his team encountered the current situation, without a doubt, they would be sheep waiting for the slaughter.

”Focus on eliminating those two prototype machines first!”

Hernandez spoke while consecutively casting Water Shield Technique and Water Membrane Technique on Sword Saint Terrio.

”Alright! I’m attacking now.”

Seeing Haleem quickly begin chanting and casting spells.

At this moment, Rein heard familiar spell chants and energy fluctuations and couldn’t help but glance over.

He suddenly found that Haleem was performing a Metal Series witchcraft with which he was quite familiar—’Sawtooth Ring’.

Four buzzing sawtooth metal rings quickly appeared in front of Haleem.

Yet in terms of quantity or the size of the sawtooth metal rings, Haleem’s `Sawtooth Ring` was slightly lacking in power.

Moreover, at such a critical moment, Haleem was still casting third-level witchcraft instead of the crystallization kill move ’Sawtooth Cutting Net’, which further indicated Haleem’s lack of mastery over the witchcraft at hand.

Rein took a glance and understood that his initial response wasn’t wrong.

Facing the mechanical octopus’s attack, he could have chosen to dodge or take it head-on.

But if he dodged, Hernandez might survive, but Haleem was likely to be killed by a tentacle’s strike.

Based on the power coming from his dragon claw, the mechanical octopus tentacle’s attack reached epic level; Haleem, however experienced as a Crystallization Wizard, wouldn’t stand a chance and would be crushed to a pulp without warning.

Considering Haleem’s cooperation and the pleasant rapport with Hernandez, Rein decided to block it head-on.

At that moment, the mechanical octopus, sensing Rein’s difficulty, promptly mobilized two more metal tentacles to strike Rein.

”Watch out!”

”Roar!!!”

With a deafening Dragon Roar, Rein swiftly transformed into the Fifth Form, becoming a Dark Silver Dragon, standing between Hernandez and Haleem.

Although Rein mastered the new Dawn Killing Move ’Blade-toothed Disc’, he naturally couldn’t show it in front of everyone.

Otherwise, he would certainly be seen as an anomaly.

Such a learning speed is unfathomable for a human.

To quickly deal with the mechanical octopus, Rein’s options were limited, leaving him primarily with the bloodline transformation.

However, even for the bloodline transformation, Rein didn’t choose the multi-headed form or transform into the sixth form—the Old Dragon Form, instead choosing the previously displayed Fifth Form.
