The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Leony Davidson seemed surprised that she would show concern for herself, paused for a moment, and then a flash of conflict and regret crossed her eyes. But in the end, she held it all back, barely managing a smile, and replied with a heavy heart: ”Okay.”

Then she picked up her bag and hurriedly left.

As soon as she walked out, the Moore Family’s elderly butler arrived with freshly brewed coffee, only to see no trace of Leony Davidson in the garden.

He put down the coffee and curiously asked, ”Sir, where is Ms. Davidson? Why didn’t I see her around?”

The wind outside was strong, and Kenzie Nabours was helping Marcella Davidson back to the room for some rest. When he heard the question, he casually replied, ”She went back.”

”So quickly?”

The old butler instinctively felt something was off and muttered to himself, ”Ms. Davidson just arrived, why did she suddenly leave?”

Normally, when people visit someone else’s house they stay for a while before leaving. Leaving as soon as they arrive is quite unusual.

However, since Kenzie Nabours and Marcella Davidson didn’t seem to care about such minor details, he stopped worrying about the reasons behind Leony Davidson’s sudden departure.

That night, around ten o’clock, Nathalie Quinlan had just finished teaching the little one a small programming trick, took a shower, and changed into pajamas, preparing to rest when she received a late-night phone call from Jaycent Kingsley.

Initially, Nathalie didn’t intend to answer. After a moment of hesitation, she walked to the bedside and unplugged the charging phone, putting it to her ear and spoke with some tiredness and casualness: ”Looking for me so late, what’s the matter?”

”Sun, you need to come to the hospital quickly.” Jaycent’s voice was somewhat dry and urgently.

Nathalie furrowed her brows, her heart sinking as a bad premonition arose, yet she kept her composure and asked, ”What’s the matter?”

As she asked Jaycent, she was already heading back to the walk-in closet, opening the wardrobe to take out clothes for going out.

Jaycent took a deep breath, trying to calm himself down as his blood rushed through him, causing his voice to tremble: ”My... my aunt. My aunt is in critical condition, she’s in the hospital, just brought in.”

Nathalie tightened her grip on the phone, unable to react immediately, and when she realized who Jaycent’s aunt was, she quickly grabbed the sweater from the bed, put it on hastily, and reached for the coat as she headed out: ”Which hospital?”

Jaycent mentioned a hospital’s name.

Nathalie was already preparing to go downstairs, immediately saying: ”I’ll be right there.”

Downstairs, Sadam Vinson and Alfred Garland were chatting, while Amadeus Yancey hadn’t slept yet, wearing loose sleepwear drooping on his shoulders, his hair still wet, a towel draped around his neck, evidently just washed, making him immensely attractive and seductive in the humid air.

The man’s tall figure relaxed on the sofa, head bowed as he was making a phone call.

”Keep an eye on that area.”

As soon as Amadeus finished speaking, his peripheral vision caught sight of someone coming down from upstairs. He casually told the person on the phone, ”I have something to do, let’s talk later.”

Then he got up, walked towards the staircase, blocking the girl’s path, and asked, as he immediately noticed the girl’s rather unpleasant face color, squinting his eyes, his tone instantly turning dangerous, ”What happened?”

Nathalie didn’t waste time, picked up the car keys from the table and said to him, ”I need to go to the hospital.”

At this moment, Sadam Vinson and Alfred Garland both heard the commotion and stopped chatting, moving closer.

Amadeus originally had a carefree smirk on his lips, but upon hearing this, he had a vague notion pop into his head, his demeanor becoming serious, ”I’ll accompany you.”
