The Unveiling of Secret Queen

”Now?” Sadam Vinson hesitated a bit.

He heard that Khendy Lordon from Maybelissa is coming to Inderia for some business, and he wants to return to find Vincent Moore and Zed Moore to look into the other’s whereabouts.

But Nathalie Quinlan rarely invites him, leaving Sadam Vinson very conflicted, unsure of where to go.

Sadam Vinson hesitated for a few seconds, then looked at the girl with a hesitant gaze and asked, ”Nathalie, which friend of yours? Is it convenient for me to go?”

Nathalie Quinlan nodded, her attitude quite casual: ”It’s convenient. They are two childhood friends, known for quite a while. Their personalities are okay, easygoing, shouldn’t be strangers.”

”I see.” Sadam Vinson was still conflicted, his brows tightly furrowed, not understanding why Nathalie Quinlan would call on him when meeting childhood friends.

Only Amadeus Yancey slightly raised his eyes, guessing something, but he did not speak.

After briefly dithering, Sadam Vinson still felt finding Khendy Lordon was more important. Feeling a bit embarrassed, he scratched the back of his head and said to the girl, ”Nathalie, I won’t go. I have some urgent business today to meet Vincent and them. Next time, next time I’ll treat your friends to dinner.”

Nathalie Quinlan belatedly raised her eyebrows to glance at him, having already placed her phone into the car, she turned back to ask him, ”Are you sure you don’t want to go?”

Sadam Vinson met her gaze with a puzzled face, hesitated for a moment, as a sixth sense flashed like lightning, only he didn’t catch it in time.

”I won’t go, another day, next time.” Sadam Vinson shook his head seriously: ”Next time they come to Beijing, I’ll treat them to dinner.”

Nathalie Quinlan gave him a deep look, didn’t say anything, nodded, and readily agreed: ”Alright, I asked you, it’s you who decided not to go.”

She originally wanted to take him along, but seeing that Sadam Vinson was busy, she decided to let it go.

At this moment, Amadeus Yancey urged her into the car, asking, ”Did you set the meeting place?”

”Yes.”

Nathalie Quinlan mentioned a location, in the city center of Inderia, not far from the Intercontinental Hotel, outside of a clubhouse.

Amadeus Yancey, hearing the location, felt a bit more at ease. He nodded handsomely, saying, ”I’ll have Alfred Garland take you there.”

”Okay.”

Just as Nathalie Quinlan was about to get into the car, she paused, looked back at Sadam Vinson, paused again, and asked him once more, ”Are you really busy today?”

Sadam Vinson was eventually asked twice by her, still couldn’t understand but indeed he had an appointment with Zed Moore, so he had to say, ”Nathalie, I really have urgent matters. Another time...”

Nathalie Quinlan asked him twice, and both times he said he had urgent matters, so Nathalie Quinlan stopped asking and said something to Amadeus Yancey.

Then she got into the car, driven by Alfred Garland, to the address Valencia Jett sent her.

Hotel.

Inside the Presidential Suite.

A young man sat in a wheelchair, gazing at the entire scenery of Inderia from the floor-to-ceiling window in the hotel.

Valencia Jett opened the door and saw the man inside the luxuriously decorated room.

Her steps gradually slowed, as she walked over and said to the man, ”Boss, Nathalie just messaged saying she’s arriving soon. Should we go down now?”

This wasn’t the Intercontinental Hotel, it was Maybelissa’s private hotel in Inderia, exclusively for Maybelissa’s people, considered as one of Maybelissa’s properties.

Valencia Jett and Nathalie Quinlan had arranged to meet at the cafe downstairs, it’s quieter, and more convenient for conversation.

She crossed her hands observing, and after a long wait, the man standing by the window finally seemed to react, turning the White Jade Ring in his hand, and responded gently: ”Mm, let’s go.”
