The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Under the watchful eyes of Mr. and Mrs. Davidson and Leony Davidson, she decided to speak plainly: ”Mom, I am a married daughter. When I married Kenzie, I didn’t take a penny from the Davidson Family, and now our family property has nothing to do with the Davidson Family either.”

”Kenzie and I have discussed it, and we want to give everything to Nathalie.”

”Whether you agree or not, today’s matter will happen only once; if there is a next time, I won’t want to come back anymore.”

”You!” The Old Lady was extremely angry, her blood pressure skyrocketing again.

Mrs. Davidson quickly went over to pat the Old Lady on the chest, while disapprovingly saying to Marcella Davidson, ”Marcella, what are you doing? You know Mom is not in good health, yet you’re provoking her. Can’t we talk about this later? We are family, and that Nathalie Quinlan is just an outsider.”

She had said this more than once, but it was the first time Marcella Davidson found it so repugnant. Giving no face to the Old Lady, she directly retorted in front of her: ”Sister-in-law, since I’ve accepted Nathalie as my goddaughter, she’s no different from my daughter. I hope you respect that!”

”I don’t want to fuss over what happened today! But I’m no fool, and I’ll just tell you one thing—Even if I, Marcella Davidson, am not fortunate enough to have a child all my life, my stuff is still my business. I’m not dead yet, and it’s not for others to distribute!”

”Anyone who tries to play tricks on me again, or tries to estrange me from my family behind my back, don’t blame me for being rude!”

”Regarding the Davidson Family and the elders and relatives, I can bring all the elders of the family and let them see whether our family should let an ’outsider’ call the shots.”

Every word from Marcella Davidson felt like a slap to Mrs. Davidson’s face; she had never been in such an embarrassing situation before.

But her sister-in-law didn’t even utter a single curse word, her face turned red, yet she didn’t know what to say.

Marcella Davidson, rarely angry, made everyone in the ward afraid to provoke her.

Yuni Davidson usually could persuade her, but today Yuni also remained silent, clearly siding with Marcella Davidson. Yet still worried about Marcella Davidson’s health, she said, ”Don’t get too upset, I’ll talk to Mom on your behalf later.”

After saying these words, Marcella Davidson was already physically and mentally exhausted. Supported by Kenzie Nabours, she addressed the Old Lady on the hospital bed: ”Mom, Nathalie is the daughter of my very close friend, and I truly recognize her. If you can’t love her as much as a Davidson child, I hope you won’t disturb her again.”

”Let this matter end here today, but if you do it again in the future, just consider you never had a disrespectful daughter like me!”

The Old Lady’s face turned white, opening her mouth.

Marcella Davidson was no longer in the mood to listen to her, gently raising her hand to pat Kenzie Nabours’s hand, softly saying, ”I’m tired, let’s go home.”

”Mm, let’s go home.” Kenzie Nabours’ upright face was full of heartache, not even glancing at the Davidson Family people, supporting his wife’s arm step by step out of the ward.

The figures of the two disappeared in an instant.

It was only then that Yuni Davidson turned her face, her phoenix eyes faintly looking at the distraught Old Lady, leaning down to her ear she whispered a sentence: ”Actually, Nathalie is...”

The Old Lady, who initially only regretted her impulse, was suddenly startled by what she heard, her expression drastically changing, her face ashen and shocked: ”You mean she’s!”

Yuni Davidson nodded.

At this, Mrs. Davidson completely collapsed into the hospital bed, her eyes full of deep regret...

She had not expected that the depths behind Nathalie Quinlan were so profound, involving the direct-line descent of the Kingsleys Family.

Because of her reckless actions, the Davidson Family missed out on a powerful ally.
