The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Nicholas Fuller didn’t know what he was thinking, but he was in a good mood, smiled, and shook his head: ”No need, I haven’t been able to schedule her yet.”

”She said she’s busy for the time being, I’ll let you know when she’s free.” Nicholas Fuller had thought it through, already planning: ”By then, reserve me one of those Ocean Pavilion boxes you mentioned, the ones young people like.”

”...” The assistant was shocked and couldn’t speak for a long time, just staring at him.

He couldn’t believe that in Inderia, there was someone who could refuse Nicholas Fuller’s invitation, and even make Nicholas wait for ’her’ schedule.

This... is simply unimaginable!

What kind of big shot must that person be, to make Mr. Fuller accommodate her like this!

Unfortunately, he didn’t know the person Nicholas was waiting for was not even a big figure, nor an Inderian!

...

On the other side, Hansel Kingsley also received news back from The First Research Institute.

”Mr. Fuller doesn’t have time.”

Zevaney Kingsley was full of anticipation, nervously clenching her hands under the table, waiting for the results as he finished the phone call.

However, the result disappointed her.

”His assistant said he’s currently busy with a research project, and will be in seclusion for the short term, so he might not have time to go out.”

Hansel Kingsley knew well enough that this was just an excuse, simply saying that he wouldn’t come.

However, Nicholas Fuller is the head of The First Research Institute.

If Lynn Kingsley personally invited Nicholas, it might work, and Nicholas might give some face.

But if he went to invite him, it was normal for Nicholas not to give face.

Though he had repeatedly suffered humiliation these past few days, Hansel Kingsley’s face couldn’t hold it anymore, so he reluctantly comforted Zevaney Kingsley: ”Don’t overthink it, Mr. Fuller has always disliked social gatherings. He’s not targeting you.”

”I know.” Zevaney Kingsley couldn’t hide her disappointment, but she still maintained a gracious demeanor and instead comforted Hansel Kingsley: ”Our dean has a reclusive personality, I’ve rarely heard of him interacting with others. However, it seems that everyone at The First Research Institute is like this, they’re used to being solitary.”

Hansel Kingsley’s face slightly eased, and looking at her, he found her more and more pleasant.

After all, it’s all about comparison.

He couldn’t stand the likes of Zevaney Kingsley and Willy Kingsley before.

Because Zevaney Kingsley and Willy Kingsley were not of the direct line of the Kingsleys Family, and he himself was part of the direct line, it was impossible for him to support a junior from a side branch!

But ever since Hansel Kingsley was humiliated by Nathalie Quinlan, the more he looked at Zevaney Kingsley, the more he found her sensible, at least she didn’t embarrass him.

”It’s good that you think this way.” Hansel Kingsley wasn’t the type who showed too much emotion on his face, he simply told her: ”Don’t worry. On your birthday, Mr. Fuller may not come, but I’ll make time to have dinner.”

”You also have to prove yourself, you have a talent for black powder that surpasses ordinary people! I believe that if you work hard, your future achievements will not be inferior to your teacher Nathan Garland.”

These words from Hansel Kingsley were equivalent to acknowledging her.

Zevaney Kingsley breathed a sigh of relief, the burden in her heart was lifted more than half, and her mood suddenly improved. She smiled slightly, without showing too much excitement, she simply nodded, indicating that she would work hard.

She behaved very gracefully, obviously a smart person who understands immediately when given a hint.

Hansel Kingsley then recalled the rebellious girl, his mood quickly deteriorated again. He didn’t say much more to Zevaney Kingsley, just waved his hand to let her leave.

Then he went to discuss the secret formula of black powder with Lynn Kingsley.

His losing of the Kingsleys’ black powder formula this time was no small matter.

Even though he had a certain status within the Kingsleys, he still had to be punished.

He still needed Lynn Kingsley to come forward and resolve this matter perfectly. Because if Nathalie Quinlan refused to recognize her ancestors, the Kingsleys’ black powder formula could never fall into ”outsiders’” hands!
