The Unveiling of Secret Queen

”Speaking of which, why were those people from the Kingsleys Family targeting Nathalie today? I noticed that old guy looking at her strangely, as if he knew her...” Fortunately, Sadam Vinson thought of something else, and didn’t delve too deeply into the ’diamond mogul’ gossip, diverting the topic on his own.

Nathalie Quinlan got a breather and simply focused all her attention on her phone messages that she hadn’t replied to.

She held her phone, not replying to the messages for quite a while.

On her phone screen was a private message from [Greenie].

[Greenie: Q, are you in Inderia?]

[Q: ?]

This was Nathalie Quinlan’s reply from a minute ago.

Then, ten seconds ago, the other party sent another message.

[Greenie: I’m also in Inderia, what a coincidence. Do you have time to meet up? You decide the time and place, and I’ll come to you.]

Nathalie looked at the private message on her phone, hesitated for a moment, a trace of thought flashed through her beautiful dark eyes, and she politely declined the invitation.

[Q: I don’t have time for now, let’s talk about it later.]

After she replied to this message, there was no response from [Greenie].

Nathalie didn’t bother anymore, adjusted her seat backward, leaned back to relax, and simply closed her eyes to rest.

She had gotten up early in the morning and now had a slight headache. Taking advantage of the time while Amadeus Yancey was driving back, she planned to rest well.

Meanwhile, at The First Research Institute.

Nicholas Fuller had just walked away to answer a phone call, and upon returning, he saw he had been politely rejected on the computer.

He wasn’t discouraged, pulled out a chair to sit down, and typed another message to the other party.

[Greenie: Then I’ll wait until you’re free to arrange a meeting.]

When he sent the message, the girl’s avatar had already gone dark, indicating she was offline.

Nicholas Fuller looked at the computer for a while.

Just then, someone knocked on the door and came in.

”Come in.”

He casually closed the chat window, exited the software, and looked up to ask the person who entered, ”What’s up?”

The person who entered was his assistant.

The assistant, with an expression composed, said, ”Director, the Kingsleys Family sent an invitation letter, inviting you to attend Zevaney Kingsley’s birthday party. Are you going to attend?”

”Zevaney Kingsley?” Nicholas Fuller thought for a long time before remembering who she was, adjusted his seat back, placed his hands on the desk nonchalantly, and said, ”Oh, I don’t have time, decline it for me, will you?”

”Alright.”

Nicholas Fuller’s assistant was already used to his lack of attendance at Inderia’s social events, so he didn’t even bother to ask, nodding as he prepared to get it done.

After all, with Nicholas Fuller’s status these days, he didn’t need to attend a junior’s ordinary birthday party.

”Wait a moment.”

Just as the assistant was about to leave, Nicholas Fuller called him back with an out-of-the-blue question: ”Where do young people in Inderia like to eat?”

”??”

The assistant, holding the door handle, turned back, looking puzzled, completely bewildered.

Why would the director ask this?

Despite having countless doubts in his heart, after thinking for a moment, he still answered earnestly, ”Well... Ocean Pavilion, I guess?”

”The young ones in my family like to eat at Ocean Pavilion, not only for dining but they also have leisure boxes where young people can gather and have fun.”

Nicholas Fuller nodded, noted it down, and said, ”Got it.”

His assistant couldn’t help but curiously ask, ”Director, are you planning to invite someone for a meal? When would that be? Do you need me to reserve a spot for you?”
