The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Harvey Cadorette didn’t dare to ask for more and went ahead with the people from the Level 8 laboratory first.

Just before entering the private room, he received a message from Orson Saban.

Harvey Cadorette lifted his head and quickly said to the group walking ahead, ”...The Dean is also at the Ocean Pavilion today.”

At this, everyone from the Level 8 laboratory stopped in their tracks and looked at him, each with surprise and excitement on their faces.

Although they were members of the Level 8 laboratory, Nicholas Fuller was not someone they could meet at will.

Even Leony Davidson, who had previously been arrogant, couldn’t hide her excitement, her apricot eyes flashing slightly. She pursed her lips and said to Harvey Cadorette, ”Harvey, should we invite the Dean to join us for dinner?”

Harvey Cadorette knew what they were thinking. He felt the same excitement and nodded, ”Alright, I’ll ask.”

In the largest VIP private room of the Ocean Pavilion.

Nathalie Quinlan had just arrived.

The waiter respectfully opened the door to the private room for her.

Inside the room, besides the tables and chairs, there was a matching tea room, where an elderly man with white hair and beard was brewing two cups of tea.

Upon seeing him, Nathalie Quinlan paused for a moment, then walked toward him.

The elder was still brewing tea, though his technique seemed somewhat awkward, not as smooth and skilled as Mr. Yancey’s, suggesting he seldom drank tea.

Nathalie Quinlan’s eyes deepened slightly, retracting her line of sight. She sat down opposite the elder, naturally placed her black backpack aside, and sat cross-legged, feeling quite at ease.

Nicholas Fuller saw her and handed over a freshly brewed cup of Green Tea: ”I heard people from Zenla all love tea. This is a new tea I had someone get for me; try it?”

”Alright.” Nathalie Quinlan unperturbedly took the cup from him and took a sip.

Nicholas Fuller immediately asked her, ”How is it?”

Nathalie Quinlan put down the cup and frankly commented, ”Very ordinary.”

Nicholas Fuller, as the Dean of The First Research Institute and a bigwig in Inderia, was usually praised by others.

He seldom heard such candid feedback.

For a moment, he didn’t react.

Once he did, Nicholas Fuller couldn’t help but laugh heartily, evidently in a great mood.

He lifted his own cup of tea, took a sip himself, and immediately furrowed his brows, clicking his tongue: ”Indeed... it’s a bit of a fail in brewing!”

Nathalie Quinlan didn’t give an opinion, she swirled the teacup in her hand, and said lightly, ”I’m not much for tea either; as long as it quenches my thirst, it’s fine.”

At this moment Nicholas Fuller put down his teacup and looked at her, his eyes, seasoned by the years, reflected the girl’s silhouette.

He was slender but appeared very kindly: ”Sun, didn’t you say before you might not have time, why do you have time today?”

In the afternoon, Nathalie Quinlan had messaged him saying she would be free in the evening and asked for his availability, which had surprised Nicholas Fuller.

He later looked into it and found out it was her first day entering the Level 8 laboratory, which made him even more surprised that Nathalie Quinlan had time for a meeting.

”Ran into something.” She didn’t elaborate much, being concise, then lifted her eyes to look at the elder in front of her, hesitating to speak: ”Emma Gabehart... hasn’t met you?”

Nicholas Fuller couldn’t help but chuckle: ”I’ve met her once before, didn’t she mention my age?”

”She never mentioned it, probably forgot.” Nathalie Quinlan rested her head on her hand, momentarily unsure how to respond, her beautiful black eyes lowered, somewhat annoyed: ”I didn’t mean anything by it, just a bit surprised...”
