The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Agnes Baker encountered this situation for the first time, so anxious that she got blisters on her lips: ”Williansen Barness usually has his phone on 24 hours a day, how come I can’t reach him this time!”

”I thought he would contact you.”

Nathalie Quinlan pulled the shoulder strap of her single shoulder bag with one hand and recalled the scene when she ran into him as she was leaving the institute yesterday. She frowned and shook her head: ”No, he hasn’t contacted me.”

At this moment, Wincent Sullivan came over after finishing the phone call.

Looking solemn: ”I can’t reach him on the phone. I’ve asked someone to locate his phone, but we can’t find out where he is.”

”Where could he possibly go?!” Agnes was also at a loss.

Seeing that neither of them could do anything, Nathalie’s eyes were deep. She pressed her lips and said, ”I saw him get into a car yesterday.”

Agnes and Wincent both looked at her, as if grasping at straws: ”You saw Williansen get into a car? What car? What’s the license plate number?”

”I didn’t notice. He seemed to know the person, so I didn’t deliberately look at the license plate number.” Nathalie shook her head.

Wincent reacted quickly, immediately picked up his phone, and walked to the side: ”You guys go report to the level 8 laboratory first, I’ll ask my friend to check the road intersection surveillance to see if we can track down the car Nathalie mentioned.”

They had just reported to the level 8 laboratory yesterday for a day, and theoretically, they should go today too, or it would be too brazen.

It’s inevitable to offend people.

Wincent thought of this and told Nathalie and Agnes to report to the level 8 laboratory first, while he figured out a way to find Williansen.

Agnes, despite being anxious, lowered her voice and explained to Nathalie: ”Williansen doesn’t know many people in Inderia. His dad abandoned him long ago, and he lives with his mother. After he entered the institute, his family came looking for him a few times, but he ignored those people, and has unpleasant relations with his dad and relatives. He’s basically battling alone in the institute, and his mom doesn’t understand these things. Wincent worries that if we don’t take action, nobody will know he’s missing.”

”Williansen... is quite pitiful.”

Agnes wasn’t speaking mindlessly; among the three of them, Williansen was the most talented and dedicated before Nathalie joined.

Unfortunately, without background support, he was suppressed everywhere in The First Research Institute, ultimately marginalized to just the group with her and Wincent.

Always ranking at the bottom.

Williansen was never content, and was the most relentless and diligent among them.

She knows Williansen wants to show the scum man who abandoned him and his mother, and that’s why he’s so desperately trying to prove himself.

They barely secured the group’s top spot and smoothly gained a year’s access to visit the level 8 laboratory, only to encounter this incident.

Agnes knew Nathalie wasn’t Inderian, so she didn’t ask Nathalie to come up with a solution, she just said: ”You head to the laboratory first, I’ll team up with Wincent to find relationships and investigate that car.”

It’s hard to obtain the surveillance at The First Research Institute’s road intersection, they’re all rookies, lack the authority, and have no background, basically can’t get it!

But Agnes didn’t give up and turned to ask the girl: ”What time did you see Williansen get into the car yesterday? What color was the car he got into?”

Nathalie didn’t answer her questions but instead lifted her single shoulder bag and strode back: ”Follow me, head to the small laboratory first!”

Agnes: ”?”

At this time, why return to the small laboratory?

Williansen didn’t come to the institute, there’s no way he’s at the small laboratory.

Nathalie turned around, showing an exquisite face under her duckbill cap, remarkably arrogant: ”I can find out where he is.”
