The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Nicholas Fuller rarely intervenes in internal matters at the research institute; he almost never uses his private connections to insert people.

But this time, Nicholas actually came to him and requested to insert someone into his laboratory. Everyone knows he has always been upright and dislikes having people with connections entering...

Orson Saban did not immediately agree; evidently, Nicholas’ approach put him in a difficult position.

Having roughly guessed what he was thinking, Nicholas smiled lightly, his tone very cheerful: ”Don’t worry, the person I’m recommending to you isn’t one of those who only has background! She is very talented, when you meet her you’ll certainly understand why I’m recommending her to your laboratory.”

Orson stayed silent for a long time, finally responding coldly: ”Director, the person you mentioned is also from The First Research Institute?”

”She’s still a rookie. With her capability, she could enter the level 8 laboratory in due time by herself. I just think that such an exceptional talent appearing once in a century, taking several years to enter the level 8 laboratory is really a waste.”

As the director of The First Research Institute, Nicholas naturally knows that like the outside world, various power dynamics are mixed here.

Many capable rookies cannot get opportunities for advancement due to lacking a good backing.

He also wants to change this chronic disease.

But as the director of The First Research Institute, he can’t change decades to centuries of entrenched issues single-handedly.

But now things are different.

Nicholas swept away previous helplessness, his dark brown eyes were bright, his whole demeanor invigorated: ”I merely mentioned it to her, she hasn’t agreed yet. When she replies to me, I’ll tell you.”

Orson was somewhat surprised: ”You mean she might not necessarily enter the level 8 laboratory?”

He thought it was someone who wanted to sneak in through the back door convincing Nicholas to come find him, but it turned out not to be the case.

”What are you thinking!”

Nicholas had long become shrewd, upon hearing this he knew exactly what Orson was thinking, chuckled, then straightened his expression, even knowing Orson couldn’t see him, he still solemnly said: ”She didn’t make me use connections to get into the level 8 laboratory, I proactively sought her out. I’ve been observing her for several years, originally thinking it would take three more years before she’d come to Inderia, but unexpectedly she came early!”

He previously planned to take a trip to Zenla after Nathalie Quinlan graduated from university to personally discuss entering the research institute.

Nicholas didn’t expect Nathalie to take a year off from school and come to Inderia early.

He doesn’t know what Nathalie said were the affairs she came for, but he had been eagerly waiting.

Such a good talent arriving early, he could only be pleased.

He was willing to call Nathalie a genius.

”This matter is settled then, I’m informing you in advance. If she responds to me agreeing to join the level 8 laboratory, please take good care of her for me.”

Nicholas personally spoke, half request half entrustment; even Orson, no matter how unsociable, had no words left, he pondered for a moment and agreed.

Nicholas hung up the phone, still in a state of excitement. Returning to his desk, calming himself, he made several more calls.

He must first pave the way for Nathalie.

So that when Nathalie enters the level 8 laboratory, her path won’t be too difficult!

”How about it?”

Inside an unremarkable small compartment at Ocean Pavilion, a group from the level 8 laboratory had no appetite, they ate a few bites carelessly and each sat in their seats waiting for Harvey Cadorette’s news.

All the way until Harvey received Orson Saban’s call and returned.
