The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Leony Davidson and the others couldn’t wait to ask him, ”Harvey, does the director have time to see us?”

Harvey Cadorette shook his head regretfully, ”I asked my teacher to check with the director, but he’s having dinner with a friend, so he doesn’t have time to see us today.”

Leony Davidson’s emotions were written all over her face. While others only seemed slightly disappointed, she was visibly more disappointed.

”Is the director’s friend having dinner here too?” Leony Davidson asked.

”I don’t know about that.” Harvey Cadorette pulled out a chair, sat in his seat, looking stern and not much interested in the director’s private affairs.

Leony Davidson quietly clenched her hand, speaking as if to herself, ”I’ve heard from the elders in my family that the director rarely dines with anyone outside The First Research Institute. I wonder who he’s dining with today. I also haven’t seen any of the major officials from The First Research Institute at the Ocean Pavilion.”

After speaking, Leony Davidson remembered someone.

The rookie from Group 10!

When she, Harvey Cadorette, and the others came in, they just happened to encounter that person, who was also dining at the Ocean Pavilion.

The director’s friend...

Leony Davidson entertained the thought for a moment, only to find it absurd. She couldn’t be bothered to think any further.

Because it was simply impossible!

One is the director of the research institute, highly esteemed, whom not even they have the qualification to meet.

The other is a newcomer to the institute this year, without identity or background, not even up to Zevaney Kingsley’s level.

Leony Davidson suspected she might be bewitched, as the newcomer’s personal demeanor was indeed very attention-grabbing, and their style of doing things was outrageously arrogant.

She might have been dazzled by that rookie.

Neither Harvey Cadorette nor Denny Harrison picked up on her words, and finding herself uninteresting, Leony Davidson picked up her bag and said to the person next to her, ”I’m going to the restroom.”

Everyone was steeped in the disappointment of not being able to see Nicholas Fuller.

No one paid attention to her.

Leony Davidson took her bag and left the private room.

The small room Harvey Cadorette booked was close to the entrance hall of the Ocean Pavilion, and Leony Davidson intended to go straight to the restroom to touch up her makeup after coming out.

Unexpectedly, she caught sight of Nathalie Quinlan coming out from inside as well.

What a coincidence?

Leony Davidson paused, thinking of Nicholas Fuller, her curiosity piqued, and she followed.

The girl seemed not to notice her, and after leaving the Ocean Pavilion, quickly got into a black jeep on the roadside.

The jeep, with its tall build and smooth lines, looked very imposing parked by the roadside.

Leony Davidson only saw a male hand extending from the driver’s seat, fair and slender with distinct joints, very beautifully shaped.

Before she could see clearly, she saw Nathalie Quinlan open the passenger door and get in.

Soon after, the jeep drove away.

Leaving her with nothing but the dust raised by its wheels.

In the end, Leony Davidson did not get a clear look at the face of the man in the driver’s seat, but from the hand alone, she imagined him to be very young, a young man.

As she walked back, Leony Davidson furrowed her brows, recalling what Harvey Cadorette had told her about the new king’s information this year.

Something about not being an Inderian, having no background, coming alone to The First Research Institute...

At this moment, Leony Davidson reigned in the contempt in her eyes and laughed coldly, ”Huh.”

What coming alone, what no background? What relying on ability! She figured this rookie had long managed to cling onto some big shot in Inderia due to their looks!

Really not a simple character!
