The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1837: Chapter 1837: I Saw Celine Tucker Stop You to Talk

”Why are you still here, where’s Mrs. Yancey?”

”I let them go back first.” Amadeus Yancey saw her come out, put the smoking cessation device back in his coat pocket, and looked at her with eyes as clear as a painting: ”How’s Mr. Yancey doing?”

”Didn’t you just go in to see him?” Nathalie Quinlan said, but her body still honestly replied to him: ”A little better than a few days ago, just need some more time to recover before being discharged. I’ve spoken to the hospital, once his indicators stabilize a bit more, he can be transferred back to the nursing home, the air is better there and more suitable for his recuperation...”

”Hmm.” Amadeus nodded at her, quite naturally: ”Later, I’ll have someone keep an eye on the transfer matter.”

Nathalie didn’t bother with formalities, so she didn’t say thank you.

Amadeus originally thought she would thank him again, but unexpectedly the girl just made a sound, with a lazy and casual delicate face, and did not indulge in courtesy this time.

His mood unwittingly improved, he reached out and held the girl’s hand, smiling as he said: ”Let’s go, let’s talk outside first.”

Nathalie’s left hand was grasped by a big hand, the man’s palm was dry and warm, her first reaction was a slight stiffness all over, but the familiar cold scent approached her, she suddenly didn’t feel so resistant, her shoulder relaxed, and naturally followed his stride...

Outside the hospital.

Alfred Garland had been waiting in the car outside for quite a while.

Finally saw them come out.

However, when he saw the two walking out hand in hand, he couldn’t help but be a bit surprised, caught off guard by a mouthful of dog food.

”Amadeus.” He opened the car door and got out, walked quickly to them, and smiled broadly at the girl as he greeted her: ”Ms. Quinlan.”

After greeting the two, he walked around to the front of the car, opened the door, and said to them: ”Amadeus, Ms. Quinlan, please get in the car first.”

Nathalie was already thinking of breaking free from someone’s hand the moment she saw Alfred, but that someone was quite domineering, not willing to let go at all.

Not until they reached the car door did Amadeus release his hand.

Feeling quite cheerful, he turned his head, his eyes deep as he looked over: ”Sit up front?”

Nathalie, just freed, glanced at him at his words, and coolly opened the back seat door: ”No need, I’ll just sit in the back.”

Alfred watched the girl get straight into the car, then looked at the man with distinguished demeanor, touched his nose in embarrassment as he opened his mouth: ”Then Amadeus... will you sit in front or back?”

It seemed Ms. Quinlan didn’t quite want to sit together with Amadeus!

Fortunately, Amadeus didn’t mean to sit in the back, he opened the passenger door with a low, smiling voice: ”I’ll take the front seat.”

After Alfred went around to the other side and got in the car.

The black Range Rover turned around at the hospital entrance and headed smoothly towards Rhine’s direction.

In the car.

Amadeus reached out and opened the square car windows, letting the fresh air from outside flow in. Then he glanced through the rearview mirror at the girl sitting comfortably on one side of the back seat, focused on her phone, and asked softly: ”Nathalie, are you cold? If you are, I’ll close the window and turn on the air conditioner.”

Nathalie looked up, only then noticing that the car window was open.

The November weather wasn’t particularly cold yet, the wind from outside brought in a fresh and crisp scent, Nathalie pulled her sweater tighter and didn’t feel cold: ”I’m okay.”

Seeing she really wasn’t very cold, Amadeus felt relieved, handed her a bottle of water casually, and then said softly: ”I saw Celine Tucker block you for a conversation at the hospital, what did she say?”
