The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1811: Chapter 1811: Mr. Yancey: Maybe I Was Overthinking It

Amadeus Yancey paused at the doorway, turned his head, the black shirt he wore accentuating his jade-like features, dignified and poised. He looked at Mr. Yancey with deep eyes, nodded, murmured softly, ”I know, I’ll pass on the message to her.”

Once he left, Alfred Garland quickly bowed to Mr. Yancey and Candice Yancey, bid farewell, and hurried out as well.

Mr. Yancey watched the two leave the old mansion, their backs in succession, and after a long time, retracted his gaze. His old yet insightful eyes looked at Candice Yancey beside him, spoke with quite disdain: ”Look at him, he hasn’t been back for so long, doesn’t even have time to eat a meal at home. What use is there in raising a brat? They’re all raised for others!”

Candice Yancey smiled, responding with a beaming expression: ”Dad, just let it be, after all, that person is Nathalie. I really like Nathalie, if it’s her, I agree with whatever it is.”

”Tsk.” Giordano Yancey shot her a sidelong glance, then walked back to the reception hall, walked to his spot, reaching out to pick up the tea, holding it mid-air as if remembering something, said to Candice Yancey: ”This time Amadeus managed to retrieve the batch of goods the Yancey Family lost in Inderia thanks entirely to ’Yandor Sect’ assistance. Do you have any thoughts?”

”Dad, what do you mean?” Candice Yancey is not stupid, nor does she misunderstand the old man’s intent, just thinks it’s a bit unrealistic.

That’s Inderia, after all.

The Yancey Family hasn’t established a foothold in Inderia, can Amadeus Yancey, relying solely on himself without family support, have such a powerful force like Yandor Sect in Inderia?

Giordano Yancey is also hesitant like Candice Yancey, he puts the tea cup back, shakes his head: ”Maybe I’m overthinking it.”

Candice Yancey looks at him again.

Giordano Yancey didn’t care how she sees him, voice slightly aged and nostalgic: ”I just feel Yandor Sect wouldn’t help Yancey Family for no reason. Even if he’s not someone from Yandor Sect, he should know someone from there.”

Candice Yancey also felt reasonable hearing him say this: ”Possibly.”

Mr. Yancey then breathed out on his own, relaxed, the frown easing again: ”Forget it, children and grandchildren have their own blessings, thinking so much is useless, as long as he returns safely and smoothly, it’s good enough.”

He looked at Candice Yancey again, keenly reminding: ”Keep an eye on the Zachmann Family youth’s affairs these days, don’t let anyone take advantage and sneak them out.”

Candice Yancey was still pondering the connection between Yandor Sect and Amadeus Yancey, suddenly heard him mention Caryn Zachmann, instantly chuckled, relaxed, and didn’t delve further into the Inderia matter.

”I know.”

”I’m having people keeping an eye.”

Nathalie Quinlan’s dining place is on Atkinson Street, the same hot pot restaurant Govert Griffin took them to.

Govert Griffin has brought them here several times already.

The owner recognizes their group.

When Nathalie Quinlan arrived, the owner reserved a private room for them right away, adhering to the usual practice, didn’t ask what to order, served a portion of what’s popular in the restaurant.

Of course, the portion wasn’t overly large.

Mostly platters, winning on variety and not wasteful.

Nathalie Quinlan was the first to arrive, she picked a place towards the inside of the private room to sit, after sitting down, sent a message to Amadeus Yancey.

Before long, Alfred Garland and Amadeus Yancey arrived.

Alfred Garland hadn’t had hot pot in a while, and seeing the bubbling hot pot in the private room, he was already hungry.

”Ms. Quinlan.”

He greeted Nathalie Quinlan, sensibly chose a remote spot to sit, fingers itching, picked up chopsticks and started adding food to the hot pot.
