The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1836: Chapter 1836: She’s His Official Girlfriend!

In the hospital.

Amadeus Yancey accompanied Mr. Yancey to visit the ailing Mr. Zachmann and Leonardy Zachmann. They first went to the third floor to see Leonardy Zachmann, and then returned to see Mr. Zachmann.

Just as Mr. Yancey and Candice Yancey’s group came out, Nathalie Quinlan happened to walk over in the corridor.

”Nathalie, you came too?” Giordano Yancey’s face lit up with visible delight upon seeing Nathalie and he warmly greeted her.

Aside from Giordano Yancey and Candice Yancey, many members of the Yancey Family’s collateral branch also came to visit this time, giving sufficient importance.

Shania Yancey and Fredy Yancey were also among the group.

Someone from the Yancey Family whispered, ”Is that Amadeus’s girlfriend? The young girl looks nice. I heard she’s from the Zachmann Family and was just found in McKinney not long ago.”

”Hmph.” Shania Yancey heard this and snorted unhappily, wanting to make a few snarky remarks.

But she remembered the setback she suffered a few days ago.

She had to swallow those bitter words down, her eyes unwillingly fixed on the girl talking to Mr. Yancey and the others in the corridor.

”Just a country bumpkin from McKinney...” Shania Yancey couldn’t contain her resentment and dissatisfaction anymore, and murmured in a low voice.

Fredy Yancey, beside her, overheard.

Fredy Yancey, holding a thermos, looked like any ordinary, amiable middle-aged man.

Yet at the moment, his smile slightly faded, glancing at Shania Yancey and warned her, ”Say less. Have you already forgotten how you suffered a few days ago? Be careful, if Amadeus hears, there’ll be consequences for you.”

Shania Yancey couldn’t stand the embarrassment, her temple veins visibly bulging in defiance: ”No matter what, I am still his elder. And he embarrasses me for an outsider...”

”She’s his legitimate girlfriend, and in your mouth, she becomes an outsider.” For the sake of family ties, Fredy Yancey offered her some advice, ”Saying less won’t hurt. Amadeus is not as simple as he appears; he’s also protective. Why don’t you try and see if your little family relation means anything when he’s upset?”

Fredy Yancey raised his eyebrows, gesturing toward Mr. Yancey with a nod, ”Didn’t you notice Mr. Yancey’s attitude? Both families’ parents have acknowledged her. Just watch quietly as a relative, and don’t get involved.”

Shania Yancey looked toward Mr. Yancey’s direction.

She saw Giordano Yancey and Candice Yancey talking to the girl with familiarity, indicating a good relationship in private.

She clenched her palms tightly, feeling very reluctant.

Clearly, that Nathalie Quinlan was just a country bumpkin, and it’s unknown what kind of soul trapping soup she fed Mr. Yancey, yet no one in the family opposed.

Should the Yancey Family let a country bumpkin in, people in Beijing might laugh at them!

Despite her anger, Shania Yancey had her face slapped by Amadeus Yancey not long ago and lost her authority. Now, she could only act cautiously, not daring to speak out in public again.

...

Nathalie Quinlan briefly chatted with Candice Yancey and the others before going in to see Mr. Zachmann.

By the time she came out, most of the Yancey Family group had left.

Only a man leaning outside in the corridor stayed behind.

Today, Amadeus Yancey was wearing a black turtleneck sweater with an ash-gray long coat over it. The coat’s length reached an inch above his knees, highlighting his tall and upright figure, a narrow waist, and long legs, making him quite striking.

As Nathalie Quinlan came out of the ward and saw him, her footsteps paused slightly. She gently closed the ward door and walked in his direction.
