The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1830: Chapter 1830: My Friend Agreed to Come!

He had adored his aunt since he was a child.

Marcella Davidson was like his second mother.

Now that she was suffering from a severe illness, Jaycent Kingsley felt deeply troubled.

”Speaking of this, Willy Kingsley just called me. He said he knows Master Carlo from the Overseas Medical Association and offered to help by inviting Master Carlo over. I haven’t agreed yet, but considering your aunt’s situation, I...”

Yuni Davidson came from a prestigious family.

Though she couldn’t match Marcella Davidson in talent, she wasn’t just a noblewoman concerned with beauty and fashion.

Being in the center of power, she naturally understood people’s little schemes and tactics.

Yuni took a deep breath and looked at Jaycent seriously, contemplating and saying: ”Willy wouldn’t just call me for no reason. I think the one who knows Master Carlo isn’t him, but Zevaney Kingsley.”

She then laughed, a rather disdainful laugh, looking down on Zevaney’s sly tactics: ”Hmph, she sure knows how to think, knowing your aunt’s special status, and wants to use this opportunity to cozy up to the Moore Family! Your aunt’s husband has always stayed out of the power struggles in Inderia. But for your aunt’s sake, he might feel indebted and be willing to help her. By then, she could rise higher in the Kingsleys Family...”

”Doesn’t matter; I don’t care about these things,” Jaycent didn’t pay much attention.

Yuni, looking at his attitude, felt both angry and amused: ”You, you, people are fighting tooth and nail to compete with you, yet you don’t care! Forget it. She thinks she’s valued by your dad because of her talent in black gunpowder, but she’s just a shadow!”

”...If we could find your aunt’s child, what would she count for? Not even a substitute, yet Willy and his crowd treat her like a treasure, trying to elevate her.”

This wasn’t the first time Jaycent heard the term ”aunt” from her, and he couldn’t help but curiously ask: ”Mom, who exactly is this aunt you’re talking about...”

Yuni’s expression suddenly turned melancholic, as if reminiscing, yet nostalgic, very complex: ”She, she was a very special person.”

Jaycent listened intently, expecting her to continue.

Unexpectedly, Yuni merely mentioned it briefly and then didn’t say any more, changing the topic: ”By the way, about Master Carlo, do you think I should agree to them?”

She reached out to rub her forehead, in pain but also helpless: ”I don’t care for her tricks, but we’ve consulted all the renowned doctors we could find, and your aunt’s condition hasn’t improved a bit, it’s even deteriorating. At this rate, I’m really worried...”

Yuni and Marcella grew up together, being sisters, and shared an extraordinary bond.

Yuni privately disliked Zevaney and the Kingsleys Family power behind her, but for her own family, even knowing the other party’s ill intent, she still wanted to try, even if there was only a one in ten thousand chance. But what if... Who can say for certain what if?

What if the Master Carlo Willy mentioned is really capable?

She picked up her phone, ready to call Willy back.

Jaycent’s phone beeped, and he looked at the message, showing a delighted expression, then reached out to stop Yuni.

”Mom, wait, don’t call back yet. My friend has agreed to come over!”

Yuni was caught by the wrist, looking puzzled: ”Your friend? The one you just called? Is she a doctor?”
