The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1829: Chapter 1829: Kicking Everyone Out

Amadeus Yancey looked at the noisy people in the living room, then reached for the coffee cup beside him, took a sip, and with deep eyes looked at everyone in the living room again, unceremoniously ushering the guests out: ”Don’t you think it’s time for you to leave?”

”I just arrived...” Sadam Vinson looked bewildered.

Leave? Where to?

Amadeus Yancey didn’t give him a chance and took out his phone: ”I remember Mrs. Vinson told me the day before yesterday to keep an eye out for suitable candidates for you. Speaking of which, I recall there might actually be a few good ones...”

Before he could finish, the man on the sofa immediately stood up and ran faster than anyone, quickly telling Nathalie Quinlan: ”Uh, Nathalie, I suddenly remembered I have something to do at home, so I won’t disturb you any longer. I’m leaving now.”

Sadam Vinson said as he picked up his things and slipped away.

Govert Griffin, a shrewd person, was the second to stand up, also saying he had something to do at home and had to leave.

With Sadam and Govert both leaving, Brian Bonette found it meaningless to stay, so he called out to Govert to leave together.

In the blink of an eye, only Candice Yancey was left.

Candice wished for the two youngsters to spend more time alone together, so there was no way she’d stay to be a third wheel. She picked up her bag, immediately saying she had a conference at the company, and left shortly after.

The living room that was filled with people just moments ago was now empty, quieting down from the earlier chaos.

Alfred Garland also had the sense to start cleaning up right away: ”Amadeus, I’ll tidy up here.”

Saying this, he began to clear away the coffee and tea cups from the tea table and tables into the kitchen.

Soon, the vast living room was left with only two people.

Nathalie Quinlan then picked up her phone, stood up, and naturally took the coffee that Amadeus Yancey handed her, saying, ”I’ll head upstairs to reply to a message.”

During the little interruption earlier, Jaycent Kingsley had sent her a message urging her, seemingly in a hurry, so she planned to call and ask about the situation.

Amadeus Yancey guessed she was going upstairs to reply to Jaycent’s message, nodded slightly, and didn’t stop her from leaving, but softly said, ”If you’re going, I’ll accompany you this time.”

”We’ll see.” Nathalie frowned, looking at him: ”I’m not sure if I’ll go yet, things have been quite busy lately, I may not have the time.”

But she owed Jaycent a significant favor last time in Inderia.

So regarding this matter, she couldn’t just ignore it.

”I’ll ask about his situation first.”

Inderia, in a secluded manor.

Jaycent Kingsley went out to answer a phone call.

Soon after, Yuni Davidson also came out from inside.

Seeing him return after the call, she stopped him and casually inquired, ”Whose call was it?”

”A friend of mine.”

Jaycent had just finished a call with Nathalie. Over the phone, he briefly talked about Marcella Davidson’s health condition, and Nathalie didn’t immediately respond, only saying she would consider informing him.

Jaycent didn’t know why but felt the girl would probably come over to take a look.

His nerves, which had been tense for the past few days, relaxed a lot, and he gently asked his mother, ”Is Aunt asleep?”

”Yes, she took some medication and fell asleep just now.” Speaking of her sister, Yuni couldn’t help but wear a worried expression, sighing, ”This is the first time in days that she’s slept. Those painkillers are useless; what should we do if this continues.”

Jaycent was also pained for his aunt, after all, Marcella Davidson was among the few in the family who supported him not to study Black Gunpowder Technology.
