Chapter 50: Chapter 48: Extremely Evil Creatures

”Oh, my friend, is there something you need from me now? I’m a bit busy, I might not have much time.”

Sabo’s voice sounded, revealing a hint of fatigue, as if he was busy with something.

Baiyi didn’t waste words and decisively said, ”I’ll send you a list later. Help me find these materials; the higher the level, the better.”

”I understand, my friend, but if something is particularly hard to find, it’s not suitable to look for it now, because we should all be focusing on the auction a month from now.” Sabo’s tone was somewhat negotiable, feeling a bit overwhelmed.

After all, Sabo became the Quartermaster three years ago, but it was really after Baiyi arrived in Dongwu City that he started to take off. Before that, he was quite unknown, perhaps because he was digesting the inheritance.

Baiyi said calmly, ”A hundred thousand.”

Sabo’s tone immediately perked up: ”My friend, is it just to find things?”

”Yes.”

”No problem, as long as it’s not something belonging to a God, everything else will have news within ten days, send it to me.” Sabo’s tone was full of cunning, with not a trace of exhaustion.

Baiyi cut off the communication, knowing that as long as money was involved, Sabo could unleash unimaginable potential, and there was no need to worry about whether he could get it done.

Otherwise, Baiyi wouldn’t treat a Bronze Level Dwarf as a true partner of interest; this guy had avoided the calamity and was already on the road to taking off.

Sent the materials list to Sabo.

Beep beep... beep beep...

Just after sending it, the communicator urgently rang, Baiyi glanced at it, it was Sabo.

Ignoring it, he used the teleportation device to send over the badge with more than two hundred thousand Contribution Points, and the ringing stopped.

Those materials, being entirely negative and even sources of pollution, were not as expensive as imagined.

Roughly, it was around a hundred thousand Gold Coins to get it all done, and the grades weren’t low either, just difficult to obtain.

He might need several months to collect them himself, but Sabo erupting his small universe shouldn’t be too hard.

Baiyi picked up a book and continued to turn the pages, now just waiting to fully understand the transformation of ”Evil Thought”. Once it’s visible on the panel, all seven skill points are reserved for it.

Time flew by quickly, and five days passed in a flash. Baiyi looked at the experiment table with a heap of flesh emitting an extremely evil aura, his eyes showing pleasure.

Because this bloody mass was still squirming, which indicated that the test subject had resisted the invasion of malice and successfully survived.

Even though he didn’t use the materials from the list, the training effect was not much different.

Buzz~

A tremor seemed to originate from another dimension, the hairless flesh of the lab rat shuddered violently, with more intense evil thoughts suddenly manifesting.

With eyes brimming with Spiritual Power, Baiyi saw things ordinary people couldn’t see. He saw the soul of the lab rat struggling, witnessing the entire process of a pure soul being contaminated.

When the azure soul completely turned black, the mutation began!

Pairs of eyes and numerous tentacles emerged from the small mass of flesh, peering at the outside world with absolute malice and greed, writhing and flailing in a frenzy.

The tentacles struck the operating table with a thumping sound, devoid of consciousness, devoid of kindness, only filled with unparalleled greed, evil, and a touch of... lust...

Baiyi reflected thoughtfully, casually grabbing a flamethrower near the experiment table, the scorching flames engulfing the operating table instantly.

”Wah... wah... wah...”

A sound like the tragic cries of an infant suddenly exploded in the eerily bizarre scene, as the frenzied flesh slowly ceased its struggle.

[You have killed a Level 1 Extremely Evil Creature, experience value +1.]

A line of panel information floated by, and Baiyi’s contemplation faded away.

After searching a bit in the Alchemy Transformation section of the panel, he quickly found a distinct piece of knowledge.

[Evil Thought --- 1/3000]+

Baiyi was somewhat surprised that the skill level could reach as high as three thousand? This seemed to suggest that this Transformation Science hasn’t been perfected...

The cap on the skill level isn’t an indicator of strength; a complete system should have a level cap of five hundred. Even the most difficult techniques should max out at a thousand.

Skill level doesn’t equate to skill upgrades, much like making fried rice; after frying it a hundred times, you’re skilled at it. It won’t transform into ”Super Fried Rice” just because you make it more often.

The steps for fried rice are limited; you can only cook it more quickly and make it taste better, hence these skill levels are quite literal.

Unless you undergo transformation and breakthroughs, which could potentially develop new skills, but wouldn’t significantly aid the original skills.

And this thing reaching three thousand implies the panel suggests he may repeat this transformation a thousand times without fully mastering it.

This was the highest skill level on Baiyi’s panel...

But it didn’t matter, as he had skill points, and as long as it appeared on the panel, he didn’t have the time to gradually practice this transformation.

Add skill point.

Buzz~

Baiyi felt a buzz in his brain; the next moment, terrifying scenes imprinted into his mind.

Pride that despises everything, greed wanting to swallow the world, rage born from creation, the desire to reproduce, and envy of beauty.

Numerous malicious intents surfaced before Baiyi, which he casually grasped and pieced together with the progression of transformation in his mind.

Repeated surgical transformations, flesh patching, the wails of the transformed, the writhing of tentacles, everything replayed incessantly.

Finally, amidst this unknown length of mental torment, Baiyi felt somewhat numb before the scenes in his mind began to fade.

Baiyi’s body swayed, his face pale, and he pulled out a Silver Level Spiritual Recovery Potion to drink, the potion’s effect slowly replenishing his spirit.

”Soul...”

A faint tremor in his whispered mumble, seemingly comprehending why those who touch the taboo always spiral into madness.

This aggregation of malice seemed poised to destroy the host’s spirit, subsequently contaminating the soul of the host, releasing all malice to the world.

But these pollutants all stemmed from their souls being insufficient to resist the evil thoughts, or rather, the core being’s strength was inadequate!

An Alchemist is not renowned for sheer strength, and those capable of being transformed by an Alchemist are not destined to be immensely powerful.

Thus, this transformation of [Evil Thought], until now, only produced madness.

However, even with a strong soul, under the relentless siege by evil thoughts, the creature would ultimately succumb to extreme evil.

This seems to be an inevitably failed transformation, deemed taboo due to its immense destructive and growth potential.

Baiyi glanced at the description of Light and Dark, contemplating, realizing that the dual existence of body and soul, yet entirely segregated, might still be somewhat influenced by this evil transformation.

But if the impact is not prolonged, it shouldn’t pose much trouble.

Because the [Soul Gourmet] was consistently enhancing the threshold of evil thoughts’ tolerance, and as long as the soul kept strengthening, he could exert more power.

Baiyi looked at [Evil Thought], a trace of surprise appearing in his eyes.

[Evil Thought---1001/3000]+

The upper limit of a skill point is a thousand skill levels?

Baiyi pondered, continuing to click the plus sign. Only upon reaching full mastery would Baiyi perform the transformation on himself; any mistake could render the perfect specialty imperfect.
