Chapter 22: Chapter 20: I Found Them

The peaceful times lasted for three days, during which the shop’s profits were exceptionally good, except that Baiyi didn’t have time to restock low-tier potions, causing a slight decline in potion-related earnings.

However, that wasn’t a big problem. Baiyi looked at his now empty wallet and sighed deeply, declining the City Lord’s invitation and instead spending two days arming himself.

Of course, he didn’t do much, just constantly felt that the Mage was really awful, especially that old guy at the golden upper tier in the Capital City, he was truly greedy.

A golden upper-tier magic scroll actually costs two hundred and fifty thousand, while a scroll at the silver middle tier is just forty thousand....

Sabo’s ten thousand Contribution Points suddenly went out by thirty thousand, hoping that whatever Scarlet Sect could recover the losses....

However, besides having an extremely strong trump card, Baiyi didn’t do nothing over these two days.

Looking at the information on his panel, his heart was slightly calmed.

[You devised a Silver Level Barrett Energy Gun, Experience Value +2000 points, skill points +1, Alchemy Technology Experience Value +70.

Extra Experience Points +1000.]

[You manufactured Worker Bee ×12, Experience Value +2400, skill points +1, Alchemy Technology Proficiency +36.

Extra Experience Points +2000.]

Having gained two skill points here, Baiyi now had three skill points.

He decisively added skills to an Alchemy Poison formula, [Nerve Poison]and [Chaotic Alchemy], the last one also being added to poison called [Desire Potion].

This was considered a trial as excess desire on the battlefield is extremely deadly and hard to defend against.

Nonetheless, it also showed the power and rarity of skill points, as they maxed out a single potion’s skill level.

For example, these three are, [Nerve Poison: 1000/1000 (Non-upgradable)]

However, Baiyi didn’t mind; he had so much knowledge to learn that he needn’t worry about running out of subjects.

The reason Baiyi chose to put all points into Alchemy Poison was simple: an Alchemist relies on machinery and drugs for damage, and he never considered using Flesh Mutation or Technology Transformation on himself.

Mechanical Ascension wasn’t Baiyi’s goal, nor becoming a monster, unless he encountered extremely suitable materials; otherwise, his Transformation Science would only be applied to customers.

[You manufactured Nerve Poison ×3, Experience Value +2500, Alchemy Potion Making Proficiency +80.

Extra Experience Points +1800.]

[You manufactured Chaotic Alchemy ×3, Experience Value +2100, Alchemy Potion Making Proficiency +60.

Extra Experience Points +800.]

These two belong to the very difficult to train poisons at the Silver Level, and they have explosive effects.

[Name: Nerve Poison.

Quality: Silver (Premium.)

Effect: Infiltrates through breath and skin, destroying brain nerves in 0.3 seconds, causing sustained mental damage to any enemy not dead after 1 second until the enemy’s thinking stops.

Introduction: The fastest acting poison; even a Giant Dragon can’t withstand it under certain resistances.

Price: 100 Gold Coins.]

If the enemy withstood this, that’s okay. The next one is more interesting.

[Name: Chaotic Alchemy.

Quality: Silver (Intermediate.)

Effect: Infiltrates through skin and breath, blocking sensory signals between body and consciousness, causing incorrect and twisted information from the brain to the body.

Introduction: Want to watch a dance? The kind where they snap their own neck~

Price: 100 Gold Coins.]

Besides these two, Baiyi also massively produced Silver Level potions, even leveling up directly due to it, at the cost of depleting his stock of materials and being left with only ten thousand Contribution Points.

[You manufactured Transformation Potion, Desire Potion, Invisibility Potion, Hidden Potion, Mind Control Potion, ..... Experience Value +18800, skill points +3, Alchemy Potion Making Proficiency +1730.

Extra Experience Points +11300.]

[Your Basic Alchemy Potion Making has upgraded to Intermediate Alchemy Potion Making, award skill points +1.]

Baiyi was quite satisfied with this series of events, looking at the panel.

Level had reached [33 (11400/80000)].

Extra Experience Points also reached [24900.]

Adding four skill points, current growth was considered rapid.

The only thing lagging was his Transformation Science and body attributes, but the breakthrough of body attributes needed potions or skill points that increased attributes permanently.

But potions that permanently increase attributes require exceedingly rare materials, with the recipes tightly held by the Federation; a single recipe is enough to purchase a branch of Silver Level knowledge, and Baiyi was still a bit reluctant.

But preparations could be made; he should regularly watch for those high-tier materials. Otherwise, if the body doesn’t break through to the Extraordinary, the attribute points will be stuck at 10, the limit for Ordinary Race, and breaking this limit would involve sacrifices.

As for the Transformation Science, he wasn’t in a hurry. As long as the level was sufficient, a skill point could directly max out understanding when needed.

It was still better to slowly read and practice, even if there was a failure rate, it cost money, but skill points were too precious, they should be saved whenever possible, there was always a feeling they’d be more precious in the later stages....

Checking the materials, the area he could still enhance himself in included Technology. The Apocalypse Curtain space clothes were interesting, described as: capable of storing non-living objects with a diameter of up to one meter.

There were many points for Alchemists to modify, such as players’ inventions like the [Potion Storage Box.]

As long as the mechanism was perfected, with potions fully stocked and snapped into place, it would be considered a whole within the space item.

Just like Baiyi’s Hive, it appeared thin but could produce many items.

Currently, the Apocalypse Curtain clothing remained at (3/5).

Inside it were the [Hive], [Potion Box], and [Life-saving Box].

The value of the third box exceeded thirty thousand Contribution Points, containing various Mage spell scrolls, serving as a trump card storage.

Fortunately, with the growth of strength, some scrolls not needed could be sold without a discount.

Baiyi looked at the remaining high-tier materials; besides knowledge, there were many areas he could enhance, like Alchemy Explosives or more Technology equipment.

So what was an Alchemist?

Clearly, a tech homebody; as long as he had money, he could seclude himself indefinitely, grinding levels like crazy.

Only the imagination was rich, reality was stark, and Baiyi hadn’t even picked up materials when.

The communication device rang.

This communication device Baiyi connected with only two important people: the Quartermaster Sabo, who could bring him money, and City Lord Eric!

Baiyi answered and a sharp voice came through: ”Hehe, my friend, I’ve found them. Are you ready?”

Baiyi exhaled; his previous bombs were almost enough....

”I know, see you at the usual place....”
