Mr. CEO, You Look Strangely Familiar

Chapter 61: Chapter 61: You Only Know How to Bully Me

The police arrived soon after, cordoning off the area. After taking photographs and assessing the situation, Mrs. Ainsworth’s body was taken away.

Following that, Quentin Grant’s wedding was officially canceled.

That same afternoon, Mrs. Ainsworth’s body was cremated. Mr. Ainsworth handled everything himself, refusing to let Nora Ainsworth get involved in any way. He buried the ashes directly in a plot on the mountain.

Leon Lynch accompanied her to see her mother off one last time.

Returning from the mountain, Nora Ainsworth was in a daze.

Back at the hospital, she stood with two suitcases of clothes, not knowing where to go.

”Nora, I have a newly renovated apartment that’s empty. You should stay there.”

Looking at his worried eyes, Nora shook her head. ”Leon, that’s alright. I’ll stay in the school dorms.”

In the end, Leon Lynch couldn’t persuade her, so he could only drop her off at the school gate. He offered to carry her suitcases, but she refused him again.

”I can do it myself. I can always manage.”

Pulling a suitcase in each hand, she completed the dormitory check-in procedures.

She moved into the top bunk of room 308 in the girls’ dorm, which she shared with five third-year students.

That evening, everyone else went to class, leaving her alone in the dorm room.

Lying there, she desperately wanted to sleep but couldn’t.

’Today’s events had been an indescribable pain.’

The Jade Pendant around her neck was a constant reminder that her mother was gone.

Tears blurred her vision, and before she knew it, she had drifted off to sleep.

The dorm room door was gently pushed open, and the figure of a man cast a long, dark shadow on the floor.

The footsteps drew closer step by step, stopping beside Nora’s bed.

Nora’s eyes snapped open, meeting a pair of eyes looking down at her from the ladder.

”What are you doing here—” Her voice was achingly hoarse.

Quentin Grant slid into her bunk, lying down on his side beside her. He didn’t even take off his shoes as he wrapped his arms around her.

”Why can’t I be here?”

Nora lowered her gaze. ”Shouldn’t you be with your bride on your wedding night?”

He pinched her nose. ”You’re not that old, how can you be so forgetful? I told you I wouldn’t marry her, and I meant it. Even if that scene with your mom hadn’t happened, I still wouldn’t have married her.”

A sour, stinging sensation filled her nose, and the pain made tears stream down her face. ”You just love to bully me!”

Looking at her petulant expression, he chuckled. ”You’re the one I’m bullying. You just deserve it!”

”Quentin Grant, this is a girls’ dorm, and class is about to end! If they find you here, it’ll cause so much trouble!”

Leaning over her, Quentin Grant gently bit her ear, the touch like fire, making her skin flush crimson.

His voice swirled in her ear like a magic spell. ”So what if it’s a girls’ dorm? As long as I want it, and you want it, anywhere can be our bed.”

With that said, his lower abdomen tightened. He leaned his body forward slightly, and finally—
