Quick Transmigration: The Cannon Fodder's Comeback in the Era Tales

Chapter 50: Chapter 50: The Pitiful Child Killed by Her Uncle 6

”Yuan Chun, your father’s comrade is here to see you.”

That day, the village head came looking for her.

Behind him was a tall Bin carrying a big army-green backpack and wearing army-green clothes.

Bin stepped forward, saluted, ”Hello Comrade Yuan Chun, my name is Zhao Cheng. I am your father’s comrade, entrusted by our leader and twelve comrades from the unit to visit you.”

Back then, the news of Liu Tiesheng’s sacrifice was sent via telegraph from the army.

This time, someone was sent from the army.

In the past life, Zhao Cheng also came.

He brought lots of food, milk powder, canned goods, brown sugar, Big White Rabbit candies... But the original owner didn’t eat a single bite; it all went into the mouths of Second Uncle’s family.

”Hello Uncle Zhao Cheng, thank you for visiting me.” Yuan Chun quickly invited them in and made two cups of tea for them.

This time, Zhao Cheng not only brought gifts and her father’s pension but also her father’s relics.

A set of bedding, several clothes and shoes, a military canteen, a military thermos, a pen, two aluminum lunchboxes, and a wooden box containing more than sixty yuan.

Seeing these things, Yuan Chun’s eyes reddened, and tears streamed down.

The village head quickly comforted her, ”Yuan Chun, don’t cry. These things were left by your father for you. You must keep them well. When you grow up, go to your father’s grave and burn some paper money for him.”

Liu Tiesheng was a hero, buried in the Martyrs’ Garden after his sacrifice.

Yuan Chun nodded tearfully, ”I won’t cry. My father was a hero, I’m proud of him. Uncle Zhao Cheng, when you go back, please tell my father’s leader that I will live well, they don’t need to always worry about me.”

For the first time, Zhao Cheng saw such an understanding and well-behaved child.

He immediately got emotional.

He took out a wad of money from his pocket, ”This is the pension given to your father by the state, one thousand yuan.”

Then took out another wad of money, ”This is your father’s salary and bonus for the last mission, a total of one hundred yuan.”

Finally, took out two hundred yuan in scattered bills, ”Yuan Chun, these two hundred yuan were collectively pooled by comrades from our unit. You take it, if you ever have any difficulties, write to us or call us, we will surely help you.”

A total of one thousand three hundred yuan.

At this time, it was simply a fortune.

In the past life, when Zhao Cheng came, it was Second Uncle Liu Tiezhu who received him, and this money fell into Liu Tiezhu’s hands, and the original owner didn’t spend a penny of it.

Liu Tiezhu took away more than three thousand yuan from the original owner, but when Liu Hongjun turned eighteen and wanted to buy a job, Liu Tiezhu, for the sake of one hundred yuan of betrothal money, disregarded the original owner’s life and sold her to an old widower who had beaten his wife to death.

How cruel, how poisonous, how evil he was.

Yuan Chun wanted to ask Zhao Cheng to stay for a meal but Zhao Cheng couldn’t bear to eat a little girl’s food. He left the money and things, and a contact address and phone number, then hurriedly bid farewell.

After Zhao Cheng left, the village head solemnly advised the original owner, ”Yuan Chun, you must hide that money well, don’t tell anyone. Once it’s leaked, it’ll bring disaster. Not everyone in our village is kind, you’re still young, don’t know people’s deceitful hearts. In short, tell no one, hide it tightly.”

”I know, I will definitely hide it well. Thank you, Village Head Grandpa.”

The old village head was a kind person.

In the past life, during the three years of disaster, Liu Tiezhu didn’t give the original owner anything to eat; she filled herself with water. Later, when the village ran out of water, she couldn’t even fill herself with water, almost starved to death.

It was the old village head who saved food from his own mouth to give the original owner, keeping her alive.

And the old village head himself, almost starved to death.
