Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

”An Wuping?”

”It’s me.”

Chen Ming responded, saying, ”You all probably already know my situation over there. It’s normal for you to have doubts about me, and I understand.”

”So here, I’ll just provide a simple explanation. Whether you believe it or not is entirely up to you.”

”Previously, a Psychic from Zuo Jing interfered with my brain, causing my rage disorder to activate prematurely. I immediately went to the Zuo Jing Space Station I had investigated before to resolve the issue.”

”However, when I had almost eliminated Zuo Jing, three Cruisers bearing the local... Beinu Star Realm Government emblem arrived.”

”They destroyed the Space Station and pinned the blame on me.”

”I sank two out of the three Cruisers, and one... completely vanished. You can check it out, you should be able to find something.”

The deputy director believed what Chen Ming said, after all, they had previously analyzed and found issues with Beinu.

He immediately tapped a few keys on the terminal beside him, issued a command, and then asked Chen Ming a question that had been on his mind: ”Why are you only contacting us now? If you needed, we could totally step up and vouch for your identity.”

Chen Ming explained, ”Because I needed Zuo Jing to believe that I had no way out, to make them think I could only go with them.”

”If anyone else showed a positive attitude towards me, it might lead Zuo Jing to be unnecessarily wary of me.”

The deputy director understood Chen Ming’s intention: ”You want to handle Zuo Jing’s issues on your own? That’s too...”

”Arrogant? Or insane?”

The deputy director didn’t answer the question and asked again, ”So, why are you calling now?”

”Because Zuo Jing has blown things way out of proportion. I feel that the evidence I left behind to prove I’m a good person is getting hard to sustain.”

”What happened?”

”The Star Realm Leader of Cai Mo Star Realm was assassinated.”

”Who?”

The deputy director paused, slightly tilting his head, trying to hear more clearly over the phone.

”The Star Realm Leader of Cai Mo stationed at Red Ink-12.”

”Hiss—”

The deputy director sucked in a breath, processing it before asking, ”Who assassinated them?”

”Me.”

Before the deputy director could choke on his breath, Chen Ming added, ”A Psychic from Zuo Jing impersonating me.”

”That Psychic is internally codenamed ’Thousand Faces’ within Zuo Jing, possessing the ability to acquire the capabilities of other Psychics, as well as impersonation abilities.”

”I don’t know your stance, and whether you’ll still believe me after confirming the information, but I’ve laid out my words here.”

”I have only one request moving forward, do not spread this information.”

The deputy director asked, ”You still want to handle it alone?”

”I’ve been undercover for so long, and although I still haven’t gained enough trust from Zuo Jing, I don’t want all my efforts to be in vain.”

”I have some information you don’t know, and it’s also not good for me to disclose it to you, but I see an opportunity to end this matter.”

The call was disconnected.

The deputy director stared at the phone for a few seconds before contacting the superior who had direct communication links with Liang Fei and Li Weiqi, who had arrived in Cai Mo a couple of days ago and explained the situation.

Soon after, Liang Fei and Li Weiqi were also informed of this news.

”What do we do?”

Faced with Li Weiqi’s question, Liang Fei thought for a moment before saying, ”Let’s cooperate first. All An Wuping’s previous actions have been what an Empire-leaning Psychic should do.”

”The Empire is currently experiencing frequent internal problems, and hiding a confirmed good person within Zuo Jing is also what we should be doing.”

”So what do we do next?”

”Follow the lead of the Spiritual Ability Association’s president. Hasn’t he already locked onto four Star Systems?”
