Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Ants can at least bite people painfully, yet the mutation happening to him right now is no different from a microorganism exfoliating An Wuping’s skin.

The spikes formed by these shells are definitely not strong enough to pierce Cruiser armor; even a slightly thicker steel plate might block such spikes, showing a stark contrast to An Wuping’s mutation.

However, this Spiritual Energy seems to have another ability.

Previously noticed that a new organ was being formed in his shoulder under the influence of the mutation, seemingly accompanied by a system for storing something new.

He gradually adapted and mobilized this new organ.

Suddenly, some plasma emitting a radiant glow appeared near his shoulder, and this plasma... was reacting with the surrounding air.

At that moment, Thousand Faces’ heart nearly stopped.

But he quickly reacted, crushing the Black Mist Heart-Gathering Spirit Pearl he always kept in his pocket, transforming into Black Mist to dodge this terrifying explosion.

Yet when he turned around, he could only see that the spaceship he was on and Zuo Jing steering it had completely turned into fireworks.

Taking advantage of the lingering effects of the Black Mist Spiritual Energy, he immediately returned to the Space Station, hiding in a place that had already been cleared once by Chen Ming.

Black Mist transformed into a human.

Just after turning back, Thousand Faces suddenly knelt on one knee, coughing violently a few times and spitting out a mouthful of fresh blood.

Thankfully, due to the nature of his own Spiritual Energy, he normally doesn’t carry any objects with independent Spiritual Energy, which allows him to crush multiple glass beads at critical moments without triggering a mental breakdown.

However, the shockwave from the plasma explosion still injured him before he completely transformed into Black Mist, but fortunately, this injury wasn’t fatal.

Furthermore, his injuries were rapidly healing due to An Wuping’s Spiritual Energy Fluctuation.

Thousand Faces quickly got up from the ground, took out the shattered gray-green glass bead from his pocket, eyes flashing with confusion.

The Spiritual Energy Fluctuation in his body was weakening, and his insect-like appearance was gradually reverting to that of an ordinary human.

Even though he had personally experienced An Wuping’s Spiritual Energy, he was still puzzled at this moment.

Because the Spiritual Energies he extracted from others could absolutely be used at his level, the differences between them and the original were not significant, and in some instances, he had even developed it better than the original user.

He had encountered other psychics with body mutation-type abilities before and had obtained their Heart-Gathering Spirit Pearls.

The Spiritual Energy Fluctuations from those body mutation-type psychics were straightforward: a mutation would happen, revert back, and slightly enhance his physical attributes.

Why, then, did it almost kill him when it came to An Wuping’s Spiritual Energy?

The thought of what had just happened still left Thousand Faces feeling a bit fearful, his gaze fixed intently on Chen Ming’s current location.

Although he couldn’t understand what An Wuping’s Spiritual Energy was all about.

What had just happened proved at least one thing.

That their underground laboratory was destroyed, and the incident with the burnt glass was absolutely related to An Wuping’s involvement.

Actually, if Chen Ming had seen what had just happened to Thousand Faces, he might be quite interested.

Because, according to Chen Ming’s understanding, the Insect Queen’s Spiritual Energy was purely physical enhancement and shouldn’t involve the Insect Queen gene and Aurora Wind Spirit gene, moreover, it shouldn’t allow someone to exhibit such abilities.

However, Thousand Faces obviously wouldn’t use this Spiritual Energy recklessly again until he had a better understanding of An Wuping’s Spiritual Energy.

Plus, he indeed didn’t have a second Heart-Gathering Spirit Pearl belonging to An Wuping.

Thousand Faces was suddenly jolted out of his contemplation by the sound of an attack on the Space Station.

He quickly found a Protective Suit nearby and put it on, then once again transformed into Black Mist and disappeared from the Space Station, reappearing inside a Shuttle Boat still docked at the Space Station, with no one having had the chance to board it.

He activated the Shuttle Boat, once more leaving the Space Station and mentally elevating the threat posed by An Wuping to another level.

Once he got a certain distance away from the Space Station, Thousand Faces used the terminal to get in touch with another person.

This time he spoke only one word: ”Come.”

After Thousand Faces ended the contact.

The plasma light orb previously launched by Chen Ming finally neared the rear of the second Defender that had completed two rounds of bombardment on the Space Station.

The Shield, which originally only protected the front, had been disabled after the recent warp and then re-deployed at the ship’s aft, standing between the light orb and the ship.

But at the moment the light orb made contact with the barely unfolded Shield, only a few hundred square meters in area.

The small light orb exploded with an awe-inspiring brilliance.

The Shield, in the midst of activation and unfolding, was suddenly disrupted and vanished by the plasma.

In the vacuum, plasma reacts solely with the ship; the ferocious plasma nearly engulfed the entire Cruiser in an instant.

The signals from the ship were cut off at that very moment, being mere inches from obliteration.

Yet just as Chen Ming couldn’t savor the relief, a new Spiritual Energy Fluctuation once again warped close to the Space Station, precisely locating the power generation area of the Space Station, identifying the location of the fuel storage.

It completely incinerated the Space Station Chen Ming had been painstakingly protecting and the evidence safeguarded therein.

This time, as Thousand Faces piloted the Shuttle Boat, seeing the explosion of the second Cruiser and the bombardment from the third Cruiser, he finally couldn’t help but breathe a sigh of relief: ”It’s over.”
