Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

”Of course, the developers wouldn’t care about a missing person, so he got nothing.”

Liang Fei’s expression turned somewhat grim upon hearing this: ”That’s really not good.”

Li Weiqi understood Liang Fei’s point; taking advantage of a Psychic’s property when someone goes missing will definitely end badly for someone, and it definitely won’t be the Psychic.

However...

”An Wuping didn’t make any impulsive moves, he just stayed at his hometown for a couple of days, went to the government to get a new Identity Card, then claimed his bounty and headed straight for our Space Station in the Audan Star Realm.”

Liang Fei immediately compared this situation to what he had just seen of Chen Ming’s wanton slaughter at the Zuo Jing Space Station, and said somewhat incredulously: ”That’s so... amicable?”

”Yes, he just came straight here, very purpose-driven.”

”Looks like I need to revise my view of An Wuping; he himself should be quite decent, just that his outbursts make him act that way.”

Liang Fei internally corrected his view of An Wuping, then said: ”Our security here is way better than in the Edge Star Realm. Recently there doesn’t seem to be any pirate activity either, so An Wuping surely has no reason to come here unless his real intention is Zuo Jing.”

”I just checked the records on the Space Station, An Wuping’s ship was towed into port by the rescue team.”

”The reason being a shipwreck, with the autopilot system failing in Superspace, steering into the Superspace Channel clouds.”

”This might be possible for a regular ship with regular people, but if it’s him, it’s unlikely. I don’t believe someone from the military wouldn’t know that even in Superspace, someone needs to keep an eye on things, especially on a single-person-piloted ship.”

”I feel he made up an excuse to board this Space Station; even the ship’s logs might have been forged.”

”His background can prove he definitely bears hatred towards Zuo Jing.”

”I feel he might have gathered some clues about Zuo Jing during those years he went missing outside and came back to immediately cause trouble.”

”By the way, I remember he mentioned having a favorable view of the Anti-Cult Bureau.”

Liang Fei turns to Li Weiqi beside him and says: ”Quick, check if our Anti-Cult Bureau has had any dealings with him in the past.”

Li Weiqi says, well-prepared: ”Yes, I was just checking. About twenty years ago, our Anti-Cult Bureau did wipe out several local Zuo Jing nests in one operation.”

”Back then, besides capturing Zuo Jing members, they also rescued many missing people from Zuo Jing’s dens, and had their relatives come to claim them.”

”He might have gone there at the time, but those nests probably didn’t have his parents.”

”He was just a kid back then, yet he remembers all these years.”

Upon hearing Li Weiqi’s words, Liang Fei’s view of An Wuping has thoroughly reversed.

”Hmm... interesting, so that’s all before he came to the Space Station?”

”Yes.”

”Hmm, although the events that followed on the Space Station have been largely removed from the database, it’s still possible to piece together the full picture.”

”After An Wuping arrived at the Space Station, he interacted with the people here, blended into the distress signal management department, understood the environment here, and even took the opportunity to transform the equipment to block signals.”

”His skill in using the equipment in the power generation area to create electromagnetic interference and block communication is quite impressive.”

”Using this method, An Wuping closed off external communication to the Space Station, giving him time to take control, and he even played cards with people for half a day.”

”At night, he directly infiltrated the Space Station’s interior, eliminating the dimension infection before coming out unscathed, having killed all the Zuo Jing members without hardly harming anyone else.”

”During these actions, he also hacked into the Space Station’s system and learned what Zuo Jing is up to.”

”Finally, he headed to the ground laboratory, intending to resolve the issue known as the Spirit Beast project.”

”The follow-up situation is unclear, but since he handled the dimension infection, other issues shouldn’t be a problem either.”

”I noticed he deliberately deleted some information related to Zuo Jing from the database.”

”From his previous actions, it’s definitely not to cover up for Zuo Jing, but rather he intends to personally handle these Zuo Jing members whose information he deleted.”

”That’s all the intelligence about An Wuping we’re able to gather.”

Liang Fei suddenly tapped the table in front of him and asked: ”Didn’t the Spiritual Ability Association president say that anyone who experiences dimension infection must be marked?”

”Yes.”

”Then it looks like our next mission is this.”

”Hmm...”

Liang Fei didn’t say much more about the potential happenings to follow, and continued discussing An Wuping by saying: ”That’s all the information we can gather from him and Zuo Jing, but on other fronts, like from the security company he worked for, can we get anything from there?”

Li Weiqi shook his head and said: ”No, the company already closed down, right after he went missing.”

”Because during that mission, the company boss also went out to execute it, but as of today only An Wuping returned alive.”

”The company disintegrated and the employees scattered across the land. It’s impossible to find any former colleagues.”
