Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

The pitch-black shell emitted a scorching aura; even under the continuous acceleration by Chen Ming, the impact didn’t cause any effective damage to him.

The impact couldn’t even compare to the projectile speed of a Gauss Cannon shell, and meant nothing to Chen Ming.

The scorching heat on Chen Ming gradually dissipated; ignoring the potential arrival of Zuo Jing from outside, he chose to directly go after the Spirit Beast.

Anyway, if Zuo Jing dared to open the door now, he would die; the influence brought by the Spirit Beast could bewitch even him, so it would be a luxury for some ordinary people just to survive a meeting.

Even with Zuo Jing there, a Psychic at most could only ensure self-preservation.

No need to say more, turning back to deal with Zuo Jing would just be a waste of time. It would be better to take care of the Spirit Beast instead.

Chen Ming headed straight towards the center of the lab.

The surrounding environment started transmitting a wave of revulsion that made one want to vomit, as soon as Chen Ming began to move.

Those human tissues, clearly belonging to different individuals but glued together, made him experience the feeling of disgust once again.

Speaking of which, things involving this extreme level of Spiritual Energy all seem to have a bit of grotesqueness to them.

It’s all blood and flesh and such.

Is this some kind of pattern?

This thought flashed through Chen Ming’s mind, but he didn’t dwell on it right away, instead suppressing it in his heart and controlling the feeling of nausea,

All other matters are insignificant now; eliminating the Spirit Beast is the most important thing.

Through the still intact surveillance in the deepest part of the lab, Chen Ming easily confirmed the location of the Spirit Beast.

However, when Chen Ming arrived here, he found that this Spirit Beast looked nothing like a beast.

It was just a mass of flesh continuously expanding.

Using his psychic sense, Chen Ming could clearly feel that the core of this Spirit Beast was a Spiritual Stone already fused with blood and flesh.

And the essence of the Spirit Beast.

According to the research data found by Chen Ming in the database here, Spirit Beasts are merely by-products of the Spirit Beast Plan research.

What Zuo Jing was truly researching was the use of the extreme emotions of a Spiritual Stone to influence the nature of flesh, not to directly kill like corpses in the abyss, but to merge humans and Spiritual Stones together.

Somewhat like a parasitic relationship.

But it’s humans parasitizing the Spiritual Stone.

Transforming humans into entities with a nature similar to the Spiritual Stone, protecting them from being corroded by dimensional corruption.

And these Spirit Beasts are the result of a failed experiment, which means that the Spiritual Stone eroded the human body, also being the origin of this plan’s name.

Seeing the wriggling mass in front of him brought Chen Ming’s feeling of nausea to its peak.

Chen Ming could hardly contain himself.

Everything he had done before was based on the premise of safety.

Since safety was no longer an issue, only the simplest task remained for him to accomplish.

Chen Ming’s body leaned slightly forward, posing to exert force.

The pitch-black beast instantly lunged onto the bloated body of the Spirit Beast.

The spikes ejecting from his arms slid into the Spirit Beast’s body like a hot knife through cold butter, tearing a gap big enough for Chen Ming’s current three-meter frame to slip through.

And when Chen Ming exerted force once more.

A tunnel appeared in the center of the flesh mass, piercing from front to back.

Chen Ming appeared at the back of the flesh mass.

And in his hand, he was clutching that Spiritual Stone entangled with flesh tissue.

Part of the Spiritual Stone had already begun to fleshify and even showed some biological reactions.

Some boneless flesh that had almost grown on the Spiritual Stone started to curl around Chen Ming’s hand immediately after being detached from the mass.

Part of it wanted to return to the original body, while another part wanted to take over Chen Ming’s body.

Of course, Chen Ming wouldn’t let this thing realize either idea.

Traces of Plasma surfaced in his palm, directly carbonizing all the flesh on the Spiritual Stone.

After tapping the Spiritual Stone against the wall to shake off all the carbonized flesh tissue,

Chen Ming once again obtained a Spiritual Stone.

Its spiritual characteristic was Obsession.

It had a dark red heart-shaped pattern resembling dried blood.
