After pondering for a while...

Wei Yang ultimately decided that he wouldn’t destroy it—at least not for now.

He stretched out his hand and moved his thoughts: ”Come!”

Whoosh whoosh~

Instantly, the massive tornado that had connected heaven and earth began to rapidly shrink.

In the end, it transformed into a palm-sized miniature tornado, obediently hovering in the center of Wei Yang’s palm, completely restraining all its power.

Wei Yang stared at the Wind and Thunder Fury Flame in his hand and warned coldly, ”This is my final warning—don’t take my mercy as a stroke of luck. Otherwise, with just a single thought from me... you know exactly what the consequences will be. Understood?”

Rooaaar~

From within the tornado came faint dragon roars. The Wind and Thunder Fury Flame spun slowly, quivering slightly. A wave of submission and docility could be sensed, and oddly enough... there was even a faint sense of intimacy?

”Hmph.” Wei Yang let out a cold snort.

He had no doubt that with the intelligence of the Wind and Thunder Fury Flame, it wouldn’t truly submit so easily. Given the chance, it would definitely try to break free from his control without hesitation—perhaps even attempt to retaliate.

But Wei Yang wasn’t worried. As long as he remained cautious, it would never succeed.

A Heavenly Flame with a heavily damaged source was naturally worth far less.

However, one that possessed a powerful origin, immense power, and high spiritual intelligence—such a mature Heavenly Flame—was significantly more valuable.

This minor risk was well worth keeping what Wei Yang considered a not-so-threatening hidden danger.

Hoo~

He let out a light breath and looked around.

Now that the Black Sun Burning Heaven Flame and Wind and Thunder Fury Flame had been sealed away, the raging sandstorm in the area gradually subsided as well.

Up in the sky, the dark clouds started to scatter.

The entire region slowly returned to a calm state.

Wei Yang’s gaze turned in a certain direction. In the far distance, the giant King Cobra could be seen—now reduced to the size of a toothpick—racing rapidly toward him. Upon its head, two tiny figures could be seen, gazing in his direction.

Wei Yang smiled and spread open his black wings.

With a single flap—

Swish!

His figure turned into a streak of light, vanishing from where he stood.

...

”Brother Yang!”

”Young Master!”

As Wei Yang landed atop the King Cobra’s head, the two girls quickly rushed over.

Before they could ask anything, Wei Yang stretched out his hand from the wide sleeve of his robe and said, ”Take a look!”

The two girls lowered their heads and looked at Wei Yang’s palm.

There, suspended in the center of his palm, was a palm-sized miniature tornado slowly spinning.

Within it, a yellow-brown flame danced and burned. Amid the howling wind, faint dragon roars could even be heard.

”That’s the Wind and Thunder Fury Flame!” Xian’er’s eyes lit up.

”It really is a tornado! There’s fire inside—and even dragon roars coming from it!” Qing Lin gasped in amazement.

It was hard to imagine that this small, palm-sized miniature tornado in front of them... was the same monstrous, sky-covering disaster of a tornado they had seen moments ago!

”Yes, this is the Wind and Thunder Fury Flame!” Wei Yang nodded with a smile. ”Don’t be fooled by how small and harmless it looks right now. That’s because all its power has been sealed. But if it were to unleash its true power, it could instantly return to that towering tornado connecting heaven and earth!”

”Heavenly Flames—every single one of them—is not to be underestimated,” Wei Yang said seriously. ”You must remember this. Don’t let a pretty appearance fool you into thinking a Heavenly Flame is harmless!”

He was well aware that some Heavenly Flames had incredibly beautiful appearances.

Like the Red Lotus Ye Flame... the Purifying Demonic Lotus Flame...

He worried that the two girls might let their guard down if they encountered such stunning flames in the future.

In truth, the more beautiful something was... the more dangerous it tended to be.

Xian’er and Qing Lin were both still young—just in their early teens.

Thus, Wei Yang felt it was necessary to instill the true dangers of Heavenly Flames into their minds early on.

”Mm.” The two girls nodded seriously.

Beneath their feet, the King Cobra’s massive body trembled slightly.

After all, right above its head... hovered a terrifying flame that had once nearly cost it its life. How could it not feel fear?

No—make that two!

There was also a black sun!

Wei Yang noticed the fear in the King Cobra’s eyes and smiled, shaking his head. With a flip of his hand, he retrieved a jade bottle, sealing the Wind and Thunder Fury Flame inside. He then layered several soul seals upon it before finally storing it away.

Noticing Xian’er’s slightly reluctant gaze, Wei Yang sat cross-legged with a smile and asked, ”What is it? You really like this Heavenly Flame?”

Xian’er nodded with a soft smile, not the least bit embarrassed. She also sat down, snuggling beside Wei Yang, and said in a gentle voice, ”Mm, after all, it’s a Heavenly Flame. What alchemist wouldn’t be tempted?”

Wei Yang patted her shoulder and comforted her, ”This Heavenly Flame isn’t suitable for you. When we get back, I’ll take you to the Ghostly Marsh of the Chu Yun Empire, to search for the Heavenly Flame that is perfectly attuned to you. This Wind and Thunder Fury Flame, let’s keep it as a backup. If we can’t find that one, then we’ll talk.”

”It’s the Ghostly Poison Flame!” Xian’er’s eyes lit up.

Just from the name alone, one could tell how suitable this Heavenly Flame was for her.

She had read about the Ghostly Poison Flame in ancient texts before and had long yearned for it.

”That’s right, the Ghostly Poison Flame! That’s the one most suited for you. It might even completely resolve the hidden dangers of your Woeful Poison Body.” Wei Yang smiled and added, ”So don’t get any ideas about refining the Wind and Thunder Fury Flame. Unless it’s an absolute last resort, I won’t let you refine it.”

”Alright then.” Xian’er shrugged, seemingly helpless.

Off to the side, Qing Lin also came closer, asking curiously, ”Young Master, is there a Heavenly Flame that’s very suitable for me too?”

”Of course there is.” Wei Yang pulled her to sit down, then took out an ancient book from his storage ring and placed it in her hands. ”Here, read this. Within ten days, if you haven’t finished it and memorized everything inside—no sleep for you!”

”Oh...” Qing Lin drooped her head, pouting with a distressed look at the thick tome in her hands.

Xian’er couldn’t help but giggle. ”Qing Lin hates reading. Every time she opens a book, she gets sleepy.”

”No reading, no progress. I don’t need you to be some great scholar, but you do need to understand basic knowledge.” Wei Yang shook his head. There was no room for discussion on this point.

He then gently patted the King Cobra and said, ”Big Eye, let’s go. Time to return to the Jia Ma Empire!”

Hiss~

The King Cobra let out a soft hiss, nodding obediently. Its massive body began to slither forward in the direction Wei Yang pointed.

It even took the initiative to raise a protective barrier around Wei Yang and the others, shielding them from the wind and sand—without needing a single command.

It had no choice but to behave.

This human was terrifying.

Ridiculously strong!

At the very least, magic beasts were always good at recognizing the situation.

Wei Yang raised an eyebrow, a flicker of satisfaction in his eyes.

Knowing its place—good!

He would watch its future behavior. If it performed well, Wei Yang wouldn’t mind splitting off a sliver of the Wind and Thunder Fury Flame’s sub-flame for it to use.

The Wind and Thunder Fury Flame was undoubtedly a very suitable Heavenly Flame for the King Cobra.

The main flame was out of the question, but a sub-flame... that could be considered.

Maybe, with that opportunity, it could even break through to Rank 6?

”We’re finally going home~” Xian’er gazed off into the distance, toward the direction of the Jia Ma Empire, and sighed with emotion.

”Yeah... finally going home.” Wei Yang also exhaled deeply, stretched lazily, and lay down sideways, resting his head comfortably on Xian’er’s lap.

With a soft smile, Xian’er looked down and began gently massaging Wei Yang’s scalp with her delicate hands.

Wei Yang couldn’t help but let out a contented sigh, narrowing his eyes and sinking into the comfort.

This journey—from the moment they departed into the depths of the Endless Sand Sea—had lasted an entire year and three months.

Now, finally... they were going home.
