Global Flood: I Survive on Duckweed

Chapter 119: Chapter 118: Floral Fragrance and Giant Knotweed, a Luxury Yacht

”I know what you’re thinking. A warrior can be killed, but not disgraced! We will not submit!” The woman glared at Ren Yuanyang, her eyes burning with enough hatred to eat him alive.

Ren Yuanyang frowned slightly. ’She’s way too full of herself!’

But after saying this, she could no longer hold on and collapsed.

”Sir, the evolved Mandala Flower’s toxicity has been greatly enhanced! Just its fragrance is enough to knock them out! It’s an impossible attack to defend against. You fall for it if you’re not careful!” Hua Lingfang remarked with great emotion.

After harvesting a sufficient number of Mandala Seeds, Ren Yuanyang had taken a few and focused on enhancing the Mandala’s toxicity.

After being enhanced, the fragrance emitted by the Mandala Flower acted like a knockout drug; an ordinary person would pass out within ten seconds of smelling it.

Evolvers, having stronger physiques than ordinary people, could naturally resist it for a while longer.

After growing the enhanced Mandalas, Ren Yuanyang had specifically instructed Hua Lingfang to take proper protective measures during collection.

After the collection was finished, they were to immediately drink a bowl of mung bean soup with enhanced detoxification properties, so they wouldn’t have to worry about poisoning their own people.

The mung beans were, of course, one of the fifty types of crops provided by the Aircraft Carrier Base.

Just then, Lu Jiamei and Qin Haonan came out of the ship’s cabin.

”Boss, we’ve checked everywhere. There’s no one else!” Lu Jiamei shook her head.

Ren Yuanyang nodded slightly. ”Tie them all up.”

Hua Wen took out a handful of green plant Vines, about as thick as standard electrical wire, and handed them to the others.

These were giant knotweed Vines, their toughness enhanced. Giant knotweed was naturally very tough; in the past, farm workers would use it as a makeshift rope when they couldn’t find any.

Of course, the small thorns on the giant knotweed Vines were rather annoying; they would cause intense itching if they brushed against sensitive skin.

However, the small thorns on the giant knotweed Vines that Hua Wen brought over had already been removed, making them very convenient to use.

After being enhanced, the giant knotweed Vines were incredibly tough—over ten times stronger than hemp rope of the same thickness, and even stronger than a steel cable of the same size!

These giant knotweed Vines were now used in many places throughout Peach Blossom Base.

Qin Haonan and Lu Jiamei quickly tied up everyone on the ship, wrapping the Gold-Type Evolver in five layers of vines.

”Boss, they all seem to be women?” Qin Haonan said, surprised.

Lu Jiamei walked over and said grimly, ”They are. All of them.”

Ren Yuanyang was momentarily stunned, then nodded and ordered, ”Move them all into the cabin for now!”

”Right, Boss!” Qin Haonan replied, then called to Hua Wen, ”Don’t just stand there, come give us a hand!”

Hua Wen froze for a second, then immediately nodded. At first, he had been worried he wouldn’t be strong enough, but when he actually started lifting them, he discovered they were incredibly light!

It was also possible his strength had increased from all the Evolutionary Fish Meat he had been eating with Ren Yuanyang lately.

The six of them worked together and quickly carried everyone from the deck into the cabin.

But the smell inside the cabin was atrocious—a mix of blood, feces, urine, and even the thick, pungent stench of unwashed men.

Ren Yuanyang entered, his brow furrowing. ”Open the windows, air this place out!”

Lu Jiamei and Xin Wan immediately went to the side and opened the windows, letting the sea breeze flood in.

”Boss, we’ve got things handled here. I’m going to finish my patrol and then come back to help,” Qin Haonan said, approaching Ren Yuanyang.

Ren Yuanyang nodded. ”Okay. Be safe.”

Hua Wen, at his side, made to follow, but Qin Haonan glanced at him. ”You stay and help. I’ll just make a quick round and be right back.”

”Okay!” Hua Wen stopped in his tracks.

”You two go check if there’s anything on this ship we can use,” Ren Yuanyang ordered Lu Jiamei and Xin Wan. ”Be careful.”

The two women nodded and began to inspect the cabin.

’This ship may have stumbled upon us by accident, but now that they’ve found our base, they’re not getting away!’

’Peach Blossom Base happens to need more hands right now, and they’ve delivered themselves right to our doorstep!’

The first order of business was, of course, to confiscate all their phones. Ren Yuanyang had Hua Wen search them, but he only found a single phone on the Gold-Type Evolver. Surprisingly, none of the others had one.

Lu Jiamei and Xin Wan soon returned.

”Boss, the living facilities on this ship are fully equipped, it just lacks power and water!” Lu Jiamei reported, pleasantly surprised.

Although Peach Blossom Base had no shortage of food and drink, its living facilities were still a far cry from what they had been before the flood.

Take bathing, for example. Right now, they could only boil water and give themselves sponge baths in their rooms.

Even with Hua Lingfang’s carpentry skills, the large bamboo tubs he built still leaked a little, and besides, their rooms weren’t large enough to fit them.

Even if the tubs and the space had been fine, they would still have had to manually boil and carry water, which was a huge hassle.

As a result, they chose to stick with sponge baths using plastic basins.

But this ship had a total of ten rooms, each with a shower stall equipped with an electric water heater. The largest room even had a bathtub.

If they could just supply power and water, bathing here would be incredibly convenient!

Besides that, the ship also had a game room, a gym, and other recreational rooms. It even had a small clinic.

But the medicine in the clinic had already been taken.

After hearing Lu Jiamei’s report, Ren Yuanyang was surprised. ”So this is a luxury yacht!”

Xin Wan nodded and added, ”I also found several large boxes of spare clothes in a lower cabin. They’re all brand new, in sizes for both adults and children!”

At this, Ren Yuanyang’s eyes lit up. ”Nice. What a timely delivery service they’re running!”

The clothes on their backs had been soaked through by rain time and again. Even though they had washed and dried them recently, they always retained a certain damp feeling.

Once their bellies were full, it was only natural to want to wear better clothes. This new supply had arrived at the perfect time.

Lu Jiamei and the others nodded in agreement.

”Lu Jiamei, you two go back and bring two barrels of the diesel we’ve pressed over the last two days,” Ren Yuanyang ordered.

”Yes, Boss!” the two of them replied and started to head out.

”Sir, I’ll go with them!” Hua Wen volunteered.

”Alright. You can bring half a barrel over,” Ren Yuanyang said with a smile and a nod.

He and Hua Lingfang remained to watch over the captives. According to the system prompt, people who passed out merely from the fragrance of the Mandala Flower would wake up in about an hour, though the exact time depended on their individual constitution.

It was hard to say for the others, but the Gold-Type Evolver would certainly wake up much sooner.

By the time Lu Jiamei and the others returned with the diesel, the Gold-Type Evolver had, as expected, regained consciousness.

Feeling the restraints, she immediately tried to use her Superpower to control the nearby metal.

”Don’t bother struggling. There are dozens of Spray Melons aimed at you right now. Make one false move, and they’ll fire instantly,” Ren Yuanyang’s voice called out from the side.

Although the Gold-Type Evolver didn’t know what a Spray Melon was, she immediately recalled Ren Yuanyang’s earlier attack on deck. She whipped her head around and glared furiously in his direction.

Inside the cabin, Ren Yuanyang and his group weren’t wearing their hats and masks. When the woman saw Ren Yuanyang’s young, handsome face, she was visibly stunned for a moment.

But she quickly recovered and sneered, ”A beast in fine clothing. I’ll die before I let you get what you want!”
