Urban All-Round Master

Chapter 488: Chapter 483 Much better than those beasts

The result was much as Lin Zifeng had expected; not a single person among the several hundred below applauded for Lin Zifeng’s victory. In fact, all of them were stunned. Even Long Zaitian had his head full of dark lines because of the guy’s vicious moves.

Lin Zifeng clapped his hands and said with a smile to those lying on the ground clutching their feet and grimacing in pain, ”You’ve lost.”

”We don’t accept this defeat!” someone shouted.

”Why don’t you accept it?” Lin Zifeng asked expressionlessly.

”You used sneaky moves, stepping on our feet—it’s just a trick for children to use in fights, it doesn’t count as a victory over us.”

”I forgot to tell you that fighting isn’t just about physical strength, it’s most importantly about using your brain. As long as you can take down your opponent, good moves or bad moves are all part of your own combat strength. And you just blindly use brute force to clash with your opponent. How many people do you think are willing to fight you in a fair and square battle? Intelligence is also part of combat strength. If you don’t accept your defeat, I can give you another chance,” Lin Zifeng said.

However, as soon as Lin Zifeng finished speaking, those Shadow Group members who had just expressed dissatisfaction were immediately touched by his words and looked at him with strange eyes. Now, no one dared to underestimate this young man.

Even Long Zaitian, after listening, was silently nodding his head.

As it turned out, one’s combat strength can completely calculate how much brainpower they have. Only fools would confront their opponent head-on all the time.

”We don’t accept this defeat!”

The brawny man roared.

”I can give you another chance, but I definitely won’t show any mercy like before,” Lin Zifeng said, turning his head back and speaking coldly.

”Alright!”

The five men got up again and surrounded Lin Zifeng, their eyes filled with murderous intent.

”Have we started?” Lin Zifeng asked with a smile.

”Start!” With the brawny man leading, they roared and once again surrounded Lin Zifeng.

But this time, Lin Zifeng no longer showed the mercy he had before.

With a shift in his stance, he rushed out.

A series of whip kicks and punches rained down on the five men like pouring rain. In just a brief encounter, the five brawny men hadn’t fully reacted before their faces had taken who knows how many hits.

It wasn’t until they were sent flying by a powerful kick from the opponent that the entire venue erupted into a frenzy again.

Several hundred people stood up all at once, applauding and cheering for Lin Zifeng who had effortlessly knocked down the five brawny men in just three seconds—proof enough of just how terrifying this young man in front of them was, without anyone doubting his abilities.

”Now do you accept your defeat?” Lin Zifeng asked, looking emotionlessly at the five men lying on the ground.

”We accept, we accept,” the five men looked at each other, then all let out a sigh. Now they finally understood how terrifying the man, who seemed like a smiling tiger, really was. Even now, the five of them hadn’t truly seen how Lin Zifeng made his move before they were sent flying. It truly made their hearts surge.

”If you don’t accept it, I can give each of you another chance,” Lin Zifeng said again.

”No, no need! We’ve already lost,” someone said.

Our feet have been trampled flat by you, how could we not accept it? Any more challenges and no one might even know how they died.

”Alright, since you all have conceded, from today on, every word I say, you must follow it unconditionally. If you feel my words don’t carry much weight, you can come to me at any time. If you have any opinions, you can speak them, but if after today during a mission for the Shadow Group, anyone crosses my bottom line, I can assure you, the consequences will be extremely cruel.”

Sure enough, right after Zifeng finished speaking, there was a storm of applause from below. Even Long Zaitian had to admire that this young man was a hundred times stronger than his grandson Long Yunfei, both intellectually and in terms of martial prowess.

However, having gotten used to a carefree life, Zifeng barely finished speaking in the meeting room before he quickly followed the old Dragon Head out, leaving the matters of the Shadow Group to Long Yunfei and Black Hawk to manage.

”What do you think?” Long Zaitian asked with a smile after they left the meeting.

”Think about what?” Zifeng replied, somewhat puzzled.

”I’m asking you what you think of these people?”

”Not much, pretty ordinary,” Zifeng frankly said.

”Do you have the confidence to train them into the existence of Dragon Team within three years? Remember, these were your own claims; don’t blame me, the old man, for laughing at you when the time comes.”

”Rest assured, Dragon Head. Since I, Zifeng, dared to make such a claim, it means I have a hundred percent confidence. Of course, more importantly, I’ll need the support of the Dragon Head in the future. Without the CIA as a backing, even the most formidable organization would probably find it hard to make waves in Huaxia, right?” Zifeng praised casually.

Immediately, Long Zaitian burst into laughter, saying, ”It seems I didn’t make a mistake in my judgment!”

”As long as the Dragon Head trusts me, I, Zifeng, will definitely do my utmost to help the CIA and the country, after all, I too am a part of Huaxia.”

”Heh, it’s very good for a young man like you to have this kind of spirit,” Long Zaitian said, patting his shoulder with a laugh.

”The old man’s determination is also quite astonishing,” Zifeng retorted.

”Eh...haha...are you starting another war of words with me?” Long Zaitian joked with a mock grimace.

”How could that be? I’m just speaking the truth. It’s truly not easy for someone of the Dragon Head’s age to still toil over the nation’s affairs,” Zifeng remarked.

”Are you trying to take a dig at me with that comment?”

”How could I? If the Dragon Head thinks that, then I really have nothing left to say,” Zifeng explained.

”Heh, whether there’s a dig or not in your words, I like them a lot. They’re much better than those animals who are always scheming behind my back,” Long Zaitian chuckled.

”Err, what do you mean, Dragon Head? Are you comparing me with animals?” Zifeng’s face darkened slightly, and he became somewhat uncomfortable.

”Oops! Kid, it was just a slip of the tongue on my part; no need to look so sour about it,” Long Zaitian backpedaled.

...

It wasn’t until they left Sand Castle that Zifeng had Black Hawk stay behind to train these so-called experts with Bu Chen. Having Bu Chen, a former special forces ace, and Black Hawk with his real mercenary experience, meant leaving the Shadow Group in their hands for the time being shouldn’t be an issue.

However, just as Zifeng had walked not far from Sand Castle, the bracelet on his wrist suddenly flashed!

Instantly, Zifeng’s advancing footsteps came to an abrupt halt.

Before Zifeng had a chance to observe, a young man emerged from the grassy thicket, approaching him with a bright smile on his face.

Since it was dusk, the young man’s facial features were blurred in the dim light, making it impossible to distinguish who he actually was.
