Urban All-Round Master

Chapter 451: Chapter 446: Now You Know How Brave I Am

”President, I fear that if we continue to let these security guards who just loiter around and do nothing go unchecked, our Tianyu Group’s image will be completely tarnished by them. Now they are insisting that they took the item, and there were many witnesses present who saw that these guards took no responsibility at all and just idle away their days wandering around the company. President, you really need to think this through!”

In the office, Huang Daming’s face was tight with severity, a flicker of spite in his eyes.

”Have you thoroughly investigated these matters?” Sitting in the leather chair, Nangong Bing’s expression was solemn and dignified, her gaze, astute and wise, fixed on Huang Daming in front of her desk.

”There’s no need for an investigation. The witnesses saw it with their own eyes. Moreover, the victim himself said that it was that junior bodyguard who took his belongings, and the cameras coincidentally captured the guard standing right beside the victim at that time.” Huang Daming appeared very confident, his tone filled with venom when he spoke of the security guard.

”President, when it comes to security guards like these, we should adopt a policy of making an example out of one to warn the rest, to let those who harbor thoughts of loafing in their minds understand that our company is not a place for idlers. And, as far as I know, the old guard from the security team, Jia Zhenjing, who has been with the company for over a decade, must be dismissed immediately. His character is severely damaging to the reputation of the security team, and any newcomer will adopt a careless attitude within days under his influence. As the head of the security team, I truly cannot tolerate these harmful elements within our company.”

”So what are you suggesting we do? Are you saying we should dismiss them all and kick them out of the company?” Nangong Bing’s starry eyes glinted with a trace of coldness.

”If you, President, cannot bring yourself to be that harsh, I, Huang Daming, am willing to do this service for the President.”

Looking at Nangong Bing’s face, which was perfect to the extreme, Huang Daming felt his heart beat even harder the closer he got to Nangong Bing.

To gain even the slightest favor from Nangong Bing, Huang Daming had exerted all his efforts within the company, constantly scheming to draw Nangong Bing’s attention.

Unfortunately, he was just the head of the security team, and there wasn’t much he could touch within the company apart from security matters.

Without access to the upper levels of the company’s work, Huang Daming had no opportunity to interact with Nangong Bing.

That’s why Huang Daming was deliberately finding trouble with the security team. He would take advantage of the smallest gap to manipulate those pitiful junior security guards as sacrificial pawns.

He could have reported security matters monthly, but the bastard ended up reporting twice every week.

This made Jia Zhenjing and his group utterly despise him.

”No need. Let’s investigate further. I will personally call my assistant. Since our client claims their item was taken, we must handle it within the shortest possible time and provide a satisfactory response. I don’t want such a trivial matter to affect the overall operation of Tianyu Group. The company only went public less than six months ago. If any scandals or gossip arise, I’m sure you understand, Captain Huang, that last month we saw a significant drop in the stock’s profits and only started to recover this month. We must do everything possible to maintain the company image, and I will entrust this responsibility to you.”

Perhaps because she had been too busy lately, Nangong Bing truly felt exhausted.

For such minor security issues, she really didn’t want anyone to bring them up to her anymore. After all, she was Tianyu Group’s highest executive director, not a temporary problem solver. It would be overwhelming for her to handle every single trouble that arose.

”Thank you for your trust in me, President. I, Daming, will certainly not disappoint the trust you have placed in me.” Huang Daming quickly stepped forward with flattery, but his expression carried an insidious hint as his evil gaze swept across Nangong Bing’s chest unnoticed while he raised his head.

”President, there’s something else I’m not sure if I should mention.”

Huang Daming now had the confidence to speak up since Lin Zifeng was no longer in the security department.

And no one dared to mess with him, having acquainted himself with Nangong Bing’s temper over time.

He might look honest on the outside, perhaps perceived by others as someone stubborn and prone to nitpicking.

However, his schemes were indeed profound.

Despite being respectful towards Nangong Bing regularly, he harbored other intentions.

Especially during this time when Lin Zifeng wasn’t at the company.

Several times when Nangong Bing worked late into the night, Huang Daming would almost always loiter outside her office.

His internal thoughts were obvious...

And his performance at the company somewhat lowered Nangong Bing’s guard against him.

She treated him almost as a confidant.

”What is it?” Nangong Bing, who had been reviewing documents, suddenly looked up, her arched brows knitting together.

”It’s about that guy called Lin Zifeng who just joined the company recently. You should know him, right?”

Huang Daming tested the waters, as there had been widespread rumors about Lin Zifeng having a relationship with Nangong Bing in the company.

However, Huang Daming had always been unfriendly towards Lin Zifeng and certainly didn’t believe he had any relationship with Nangong Bing.

”I don’t know him,” Nangong Bing said bluntly, without even looking up.

She was a rational woman; she couldn’t afford to be seen too close to Lin Zifeng within the company.

”You don’t know him?” Huang Daming’s suspended heart suddenly relaxed.

”Is there a problem with him?”

”President, the thing is, ever since this guy came to our Tianyu Group, he’s been loafing around. He was under my security department before, then for some reason, he was transferred to the finance department. And I’ve always doubted his character. Recently, the riffraff in the security department have been causing trouble, frequently engaging in gambling, binge drinking, and other vices. I wanted to warn you, President, that we cannot keep this person. Should we fire him to prevent him from mingling with those workers and possibly causing bigger problems in the future?”

”Also, there’s this little security guard from the gate office named Zheng Liang who has recently been...”

”Smack!”

Just as Huang Daming was about to finish his sentence.

The one-way glass door of the President’s office was forcefully pushed open by someone.

The immense force made the glass door slam against the hard wall behind it with a series of loud bangs.

Lin Zifeng, with a grim face, watched Huang Daming with a cold, mocking smile, ”Captain Huang, what an impressive display of authority! You’ve just finished talking about my trivial matters, and now are you ready to turn your gun on my brother Zheng Liang? Do you think that you can only rest easy if you squash anyone who bears even the slightest grudge against you? Or perhaps you think we lowly security guards should tuck our tails between our legs, bow and scrape like dogs just to please you? But I’m very sorry, Captain Huang, I’m afraid that the brothers in the security department won’t be so spineless.”

Under the shocked expressions of Nangong Bing and Huang Daming, Lin Zifeng approached them with a mocking coldness on his face.

Lin Zifeng had overheard Huang Daming badmouthing him outside the door and had let it slide, but now his words were dragging all the security brothers into the fray, and that didn’t sit well with him.

What the fuck do you know about the hardships of the lower-level security guards, sitting in your office every day?

Do you have any idea how exhausting it is for those security guards from the gate office to switch shifts and stand guard every single morning?

Standing there like a wooden statue, let’s not even talk about the rest, how would you, Huang Daming, fare trying it on a hot summer day?

”You! You’ve got some nerve!” Huang Daming’s face suddenly turned pale with anger, and he was instantaneously enraged by Lin Zifeng’s audacity, especially considering this was taking place in Nangong Bing’s office. A mere subordinate was rebuking him in front of the President, and now, barging in, slamming the door.

Immediately, Huang Daming felt the need to save face and to show off in front of Nangong Bing.

Without another word, he suddenly moved forward, reaching out with his palm towards Lin Zifeng’s neck.

”I’ll make you regret your foolish actions!”

Huang Daming had a military background and had not been idle since his dismissal from the service.

Anyone who has served knows that if you don’t maintain physical fitness after discharge, military conditioning degrades severely quickly—you slack off a bit, and at most, you’re just slightly better than the average person.

But Huang Daming was different, having been a personal bodyguard for many big bosses since leaving the military.

He consistently practiced his army skills every day, until the emergence of Nangong Bing, when he finally devoted himself entirely to Tianyu.

Now, Lin Zifeng’s assertive arrival seemed like the perfect vent for Huang Daming’s repressed temper.

Engulfed by rage, he was ready to use the common military move, Big Capture, to grab the bastard.

But before his hand could even touch half an inch of Lin Zifeng’s clothing,

A faint sneer crossed Lin Zifeng’s indifferent face, and his right hand suddenly flickered—when exactly he swung it, Huang Daming hadn’t even clearly seen.

By the time Huang Daming felt his fingers clamped as if by an iron vice, he realized the other person’s speed far exceeded his imagination!

To catch his fingers in the moment he had initiated an attack required unbelievable speed!

”Ah—!” Huang Daming’s sinister face abruptly twisted in pain, and he let out a loud scream, his knees suddenly buckling and forcing him to kneel.

Suppressing the gnawing pain, he felt like his teeth would nearly shatter.

Lin Zifeng, with just two fingers, rigidly clamped Huang Daming’s middle finger,

Looking down at him with an indifferent gaze from a superior position.

”Lin Zifeng! Stop it now!”

Nangong Bing shot up from her chair instantly,

Her stunning face paled in an instant.

At that moment, Huang Daming was like a dog kneeling before Lin Zifeng, biting down on his teeth to prevent himself from crying out.

But with the intense pressure on his finger, it felt like it could snap at any moment, and his legs had buckled reflexively from the pain of the clasp.

The saying ”ten fingers connected to the heart” must be true.

”Captain Huang, now you finally understand how bold I am, don’t you?” Lin Zifeng’s eyes blazed, his dark gaze cutting sharply across Huang Daming like a sharp knife.
